Chapter 7, Encounter
Li Donghao went to his study to get busy. Once Zhang Youyou was sure he was working, she got up and looked around, touching everything. The decor here was just like everyone else's – cold and boring.
Zhang Youyou snorted, losing her appetite at the sight of the KFC on the coffee table. That wretched KFC had almost choked her to death; she swore she wouldn't eat it for a week.
She wandered around aimlessly, feeling tired, and went to take a shower. She realized she'd only brought clothes for the next day, not pajamas. She couldn't very well sleep naked, could she? After much thought, she decided to ask Li Donghao for help.
The study door opened after only two knocks, and Zhang Youyou stood there embarrassedly, fiddling with the hem of her clothes, saying, "Um, do you have any extra pajamas? I... I forgot to bring any."
If this were Lee Dong-seok's house, she could rummage through his wardrobe without any scruples, but this was Lee Dong-ho's house, and she still wanted to live.
Li Donghao was more than a head taller than her, and with his head down, he could only see the top of her head. He knew she was carefree, but he didn't expect her to forget something like this. Luckily, she came to his house; if it were someone else's house, he couldn't imagine what would have happened.
He walked past her and headed straight for the bedroom. When he came out, he saw her still standing at the study door. Lee Dong-ho teased, "Are you planning to be my doorman?"
Zhang Youyou lowered her head, spun 180 degrees, and brought her feet together, almost making Li Donghao burst out laughing.
"Come here!" Li Donghao called to her. Zhang Youyou hesitated for a long time before finally moving her feet and coming to him. She saw that he was holding a white T-shirt in his hand, and Zhang Youyou's big eyes were full of doubt.
"No new pajamas, only new T-shirts. Will you make do for one night?"
"How thoughtful!" Zhang Youyou said thank you gratefully, snatched the T-shirt and went back to her room. Li Donghao stared blankly at his suddenly empty hand for a moment before finally returning to his study.
Zhang Youyou looked at it over and over for a long time, and after confirming that it had never been worn before, she finally put it on. She had to admit that he was really too tall. His T-shirt looked like a dress on her, reaching all the way to her knees. The thing is, she wasn't short either.
Wearing his T-shirt, she went to the bathroom to take a shower. When she came back, he hadn't come out yet. Zhang Youyou was too lazy to pay attention to him and went straight back to her room to sleep. Although it was someone else's bed, it was very soft and comfortable, just like the bed she slept in at Li's house. Zhang Youyou fell asleep soon after hugging the little dinosaur.
It was almost midnight when Li Donghao came out. According to her schedule, she would have been asleep long ago. He gently opened the door and took a look. He couldn't help but laugh when he saw her completely encircling the little dinosaur. He covered her with the blanket, and finally kissed her cheek before leaving.
Some secrets are better left undiscovered, at least not now.
He originally wanted to give her his own pajamas, but then he thought it might scare her, so he decided against it.
He took his pajamas to take a shower, and glanced at the laundry basket but didn't see her clothes. Li Donghao was a little disappointed; it seemed she was still quite wary.
I don't know how to describe Zhang Youyou and Li Donghao, but they're just both silly and smart.
Warm water sprays from the showerhead, washing away the day's fatigue and suppressing the desires in one's heart.
After rinsing off the remaining shower gel and drying herself with a towel, Li Donghao opened the bathroom door to put on her pajamas when he saw Zhang Youyou standing groggily at the bathroom door, walking towards him. Li Donghao quickly wrapped the towel around his waist, and just as he was about to grab his pajamas, he noticed that Zhang Youyou, who had previously been half-asleep, had wide eyes that were as big as saucers. Then came a deafening scream. Li Donghao didn't care about anything else and took two steps forward to cover her mouth. However, because his feet were slippery, he fell headlong into her body. Just as his large hand was about to cover her mouth, his other hand instinctively pulled her around, causing her to fall onto him.
The moment his warm skin touched the cold ground, Li Donghao felt a surge of pain and wanted to swear. Meanwhile, Zhang Youyou, who had fallen into his arms, had one leg stuck between his legs. As she tried to move, they both froze.
