Chapter 8, Awkwardness
Although Zhang Youyou is usually carefree, she knows basic physiological knowledge. At this moment, she regrets it very much. Why did she have to go to the toilet?
"You, get up first," Li Donghao said in a hoarse voice. He couldn't move if she didn't move, and he couldn't get up if she didn't leave him.
Zhang Youyou's face was so red it could bleed. She awkwardly got off him, not caring about whether she had exposed herself, and hurriedly walked outside. Only after hearing the door close did Li Donghao slowly straighten his towel and get up.
Although the fall hurt a lot, there were no signs of cuts or scrapes on her body. Considering her condition, Li Donghao decided to take a shower first before going to find her.
Back in her room, Zhang Youyou was furious to see her white T-shirt stained with other colors, but then she blushed when she thought about what had just happened.
That was so embarrassing.
To be honest, Lee Dongho's physique is really good. His dormmates were discussing whether he had abs before, and she didn't tell them then. If it were today, she would definitely tell them that he not only has abs, but they're also very firm. But this is too private; if she told them, they'd probably investigate further, right? After thinking it over, she decided it was best not to say anything.
She was sitting on the carpet lost in thought when the door suddenly opened. Li Donghao's voice was deep and slightly hoarse. She wondered if she had hurt his little brother. If she had, wouldn't she be a sinner?
Zhang Youyou patted his face, got up to straighten his T-shirt, and slowly opened the door. He saw that the man was already dressed in his pajamas, and an unnatural expression flashed across his face.
To be honest, anyone would feel awkward after going through something like that, especially since Zhang Youyou was shorter than him and had her head down, so he naturally wouldn't see the flush on her cheeks.
"Um, I'm done showering. Do you want to shower again?" Lee Dong-ho covered his mouth with his fist. "I'll get you some new pajamas."
Zhang Youyou glanced at the black T-shirt in his hand, took it without thinking, clenched it tightly in both hands, and after a long while, she finally spoke. As a result, he also opened his mouth, and the two of them were stunned.
"You go first," Li Donghao said, displaying gentlemanly manners.
Zhang Youyou nearly wrung out the black T-shirt in her hands, hesitated for a long time, and then said, "About what just happened..."
“That was just an accident, I won’t tell you,” Li Donghao replied.
That's great, that's exactly the result she wanted.
"That's good, but if Grandpa brings up the issue of a childhood betrothal..."
“It’s not like we’re talking about an arranged marriage for the first time. Besides, you’re still two years away from the legal marriage age. As for what happened today, if you don’t tell me and I don’t tell anyone, no one will know. There’s no need to worry!” Li Donghao spoke logically, and Zhang Youyou was instantly convinced.
"That's good!"
“However,” Li Donghao added, Zhang Youyou looked at him warily, only to hear him say calmly, “You must be careful when you see Grandpa tomorrow, and don’t give yourself away, otherwise, even a god can’t save you!”
She knew this, but whether she could cover it up depended on him.
I'll try my best.
The two hit it off immediately. Li Donghao went back to his room to sleep, while Zhang Youyou took her new pajamas to take a shower. The living room returned to quiet, but the people in the two bedrooms were unable to fall asleep.
His clothes had a faint, pleasant fragrance, though she didn't know what kind of laundry detergent he used. When she held the little dinosaur, she felt as if the little dinosaur had also absorbed the fragrance. This fragrance was comforting and captivating. Even though the embarrassing scene kept replaying in her mind, she couldn't resist the call of the Duke of Zhou (a figure in Chinese mythology associated with dreams) and quickly drifted off to sleep.
Meanwhile, Li Donghao, who lived across the street, couldn't calm down.
He didn't deny that he had ulterior motives towards Zhang Youyou, but he could wait, wait for her to grow up, wait for her to become an adult, wait for her to become a person with independent thinking ability. However, everything that happened today completely disrupted his plans.
Perhaps he could obey his grandfather's request and marry the girl he was betrothed to since childhood, but if she didn't love him, he couldn't force her.
My mind was racing with all sorts of thoughts, and I tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep at all.
