Chapter 12, Pinky Promise
The air was so quiet it was almost suffocating. Zhang Youyou stared at him for a long time with her eyes slanted, and finally couldn't help but touch his leg with the toes he had just rubbed, her voice trembling with fear but defiant.
"I'm talking to you, can't you hear me?"
Li Donghao looked at her helplessly and said, "I know."
Zhang Youyou expressed doubt about his words, and with her right fist clenched, she extended her little finger and said to him, "Pinky promise! I'll believe you if you dare to pinky promise with me!"
They're already adults, yet they're still playing such childish games. But it's okay, he'll still play along.
Zhang Youyou hooked her fair little finger around his long, slender hand, staring into his eyes and said seriously, "Pinky promise, a hundred years from now, no take-backs!"
Her warmth still lingered on his fingers, and Lee Dong-ho silently held her little finger.
The two sat for a while longer before washing up and returning to their respective rooms. Because of yesterday's misunderstanding, Li Donghao locked the door when he took a shower today.
Zhang Youyou didn't get up until almost noon on Sunday. Li Donghao had already gotten ready and was just waiting for her.
Zhang Youyou glanced at Li Donghao, who was sitting on the sofa texting on his phone, and called out to him. Li Donghao didn't even look up and said, "Drink the milk on the table."
Zhang Youyou obediently walked over and touched the glass. The milk was warm. He smiled slightly, held the glass with both hands, and drank the milk.
She drank a glass of milk every morning and evening to help her grow taller, but she stopped receiving this treatment after coming to study here. I didn't expect him to still remember it.
"I'm all better!" After drinking the milk, Zhang Youyou's voice sounded much sweeter.
Li Donghao put away his phone, took her to register her fingerprints, and told her the door lock password. In case she couldn't remember it, he also sent her a WeChat message.
“If you don’t want to live on campus, you can move here,” Li Donghao said. “I’ll send you the address to your phone, remember to save it.” Seemingly still concerned, he added, “Don’t tell anyone, and don’t bring anyone else here!”

The elevator doors opened, and Li Donghao went in first, then blocked the doors with his arm until Zhang Youyou came in before letting go.

Zhang Youyou snorted dismissively. He was just trying to appease his grandfather!
The two went to the hotel to pick up their grandfather. Zhang Youyou then learned that the butler had also come along, but he didn't want to disturb them. However, the butler accompanied them throughout their outing today.
"That's our school over there!" Zhang Youyou said proudly. "Our school is ranked among the top ten in the country!"
"Yes, yes, our Youyou is amazing!" Grandpa patted her arm, which was linked with his, and said, "What about over there?"
"There's a large shopping mall over there. We can buy whatever we need there. It's very convenient. There's a hospital across from the mall. Actually, our school is very good. The surrounding facilities are very complete. It's only three blocks away from the museum." Although she is only a freshman, she already knows this area very well.
"Zhang Youyou, since you know so much, do you know where we're going now?" driver Li Donghao asked.
Zhang Youyou looked at the buildings on both sides and the direction they were heading, and answered uncertainly, "Are we going to the park?"

Grandpa smiled, glancing at Li Donghao and then at the pouting Zhang Youyou, feeling quite pleased. These two kids are good in every way, except they don't want to be together. Sigh, what a worry!
However, Zhang Youyou, one of the parties involved, was thinking that she had to find time to explore the city properly. There were so many fun places she hadn't been to yet, and it would be a pity not to go!
