Xiaomian said, "When we get to the theater, ask me why I'm not wearing the ring you gave me."
Shi Wang hadn't even retracted his hand yet, but he already felt lost. "If you can't find it, just report it to the police. Some rings are lost because it's their destiny, and they should be replaced by something else."
His eyes were like a boat drifting on the current with no destination, staying there but willing to be submerged.
Xiao Mian didn't answer and walked out. However, when Shi Wang followed her out, he heard her calm voice: "If you can't find it, we'll talk about it later."

Outside the theater, Shi Wang watched her put on his ring with his own eyes. His ring slid all the way into the base of her slender white finger, and Shi Wang felt his breathing tighten a little.
The two walked in side by side through the front door. The two of them were eye-catching enough when they were separated, and after the concert incident, the two of them walking together made people even more speculative.

Shi Wang simply said, "Call the police."
