I froze for a moment, deliberately not taking it seriously: "No."
Shi Wang's eyes were shrouded in flowing clouds, his sword-like eyebrows slanted upward like the setting sun, his lips were as pale as water, and his originally lonely and handsome face was wrapped in the romantic sunset. The light and shadow set off his undulating outline, making his heroic spirit even more compelling. He just said "hmm" lightly, as if he was asking casually.
But the corners of his lips lifted up slightly.
Just one look at him reminded me of the past, how his appearance could bewitch so many people, how he was a favored child wherever he went, how he could have any kind of suitor he wanted, and how he could despise anyone's sincerity.
The more she looked, the more resentment she felt in her heart surged up, so she turned her eyes away and stopped looking.
Shi Wang acted as if nothing had happened and just casually asked, "We have a few more scenes in the new script. Let's check them out."
Xiao Meng flipped through the script at the back, hiding his disgust and pretending not to care: "Okay."
Xiaomian picked up the script and just opened his mouth to say something when the person next to him asked, "Senior, you are also rehearsing the new play for scenes 15 to 18, right? Everyone's parts are new, how about rehearsing together?"
Zhumian looked at Shiwang with a lukewarm gaze: "What do you mean?"
Shi Wangying said: "Then let's go together."
Everyone gathered together.
The actor who played the flower fairy told the other fairies about Venus being despised by Adonis and fainting on the grass: "Adonis regretted it, but Venus did not forgive him."
And Xiao Mian stood before Shi Wang, his eyes filled with hatred: "The pain you caused me when you despised me was far more painful than your difficult birth."
Shi Wang opened his lips: "Venus, between you and me——"
Before he could finish his words, Zhu Mian slapped Shi Wang in the face, and the crisp sound reached everyone's ears.
Everyone looked at them instantly, shocked, panicked and incredulous.
Of course this slap was in the script, but everyone thought it was just a borrowed shot. It wasn't a real theater stage, so no one thought that Zhou Mian would actually hit someone.
Zhu Mian looked at Shi Wang with a slightly stiff expression, but it was hard to tell whether she did it accidentally or on purpose.
A light pink slap mark instantly appeared on Shi Wang's handsome face, and everyone looked at him without daring to breathe.
Shi Wang stretched out his hand, and lightly touched the cheek that had been hit with the tips of his slender fingers.
He looked at her, wanting to hear her answer.
Xiao Mian was silent for a moment before she said in a light voice, "I'm sorry, I thought that because of the height difference between us, I couldn't touch your face."
Shi Wang breathed a sigh of relief. So that's how it is.
When everyone saw that Shi Wang was not angry, they finally felt relieved.
Fortunately, otherwise the consequences would be unimaginable.
It may also be because he was hit during his daytime nap. If it were someone else, they would probably be doomed.
But it's true. Seeing that Zhuomian is only about 1.65 to 1.67 meters tall, it's normal that he could hit Shiwang in the face with his hand. How could Zhuomian deliberately hit his partner?
Fortunately, the subsequent rehearsals went smoothly and there were no further problems.
After the show, Xiao Mian picked up her things and went out. He called her, "Xiao Mian."
In the cool night, his voice was as quiet as the breeze, but he wasn't angry, instead he was worried: "Don't you like me?"
Zhuomian looked back at him. His tall figure cast a long shadow under the tree. The night wind blew up his clothes, and the shadow ended right at her feet. It was a distance that was both familiar and unfamiliar.
Her tone was normal: "You think too much."
But he suddenly said, "I know someone."
The night wind blew the ends of his black hair up, and his eyes were dark: "When I was in high school, I also knew a daytime sleeper."
The heartbeat of the sleeping person froze for a moment.
For a moment, I seemed to see the humble girl I once was.
At nine o'clock in the evening, she listened to him ringing the bell for others under the bell tower.
She feels sick when she eats cream and never eats cake, but she repeatedly experiments with sweetness and proportions for the person she likes.
The school badge she gave away was thrown into the trash.
But in the dark night, Xiao Mian suddenly smiled, with a hint of sarcasm in his smile, and said nonchalantly: "You are so humorous."
Shi Wang said gently, "I think it's a coincidence."
That daytime nap and the daytime nap in front of me are very different. Being lost in the crowd and standing out are impossible to have any intersection.
The light was too dim, and Zhuomian couldn't see every expression on his face, but she didn't bother to see either.
Just as he was about to turn around and leave, he heard him say, "Herbal tea, you don't want to drink a sip?"
Xiao Mian didn't look at him, and said in a calm but unapproachable voice: "Thank you, but no thanks."
Shi Wang was a little disappointed and watched her walk away.
Just as he was leaving the school gate, Gu Qingxu called him: "Junior, I'm sorry I couldn't rehearse with you today."
Xiaomian whispered, "It's okay."
A car in front suddenly turned and drove slowly in front of the sleeping area.
The car window rolled down, revealing a gentle, jade-white face. It was Gu Qingxu.
Zhumian was a little surprised: "Senior?"
Gu Qingxu chuckled and put down his phone: "I can't accompany you to rehearse, so I can only send you back."
Zhuomian thanked him and walked to the other side to open the passenger door. As soon as he opened it, he found a paper bag on the passenger seat.
Gu Qingxu said softly, "It's for you."
Zhoumian was puzzled: "What is it?"
Gu Qingxu raised his lips and said, "Let's get in the car first. We'll watch it later."
Zhu Mian got on the car and Gu Qingxu drove away from the school.
She opened the paper bag and saw a brand new volunteer vest. She raised her head and looked at him with some confusion.
Gu Qingxu smiled and said, "The previous one-size-fits-all ones didn't fit you, so I found a size that's right for you. In a couple of days, some children from the welfare home where we've been volunteering will be coming to NUS, so they'll be perfect for you."
