Chapter 47: No Leaving

Chapter 47: No Leaving

On the fourth floor, someone was silently watching the people at a certain table. After seeing two people who had been in the bathroom for a long time come out, someone hurriedly cleaned up the table, stuffed the test papers, mobile phone, earphones, and water cup into Cheng Che's schoolbag in a mess, and left quickly with everyone.

.......

After calming the sex maniac, Cheng Che went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. Seeing it was full of fresh ingredients, he asked Li Zimai, "What do you want to eat?"

"It's all right. I'll eat whatever Cheche cooks."

He sat at the kitchen island and watched Cheng Che chopping vegetables. As he watched, he sighed, "My wife is so virtuous. She can handle both housework and the kitchen."

Cheng Che rolled his eyes at him and asked, "Who is your wife?"

"Why don't we get married in England or the Netherlands? They're also nice places."

Cheng Che paused his movements, but said nothing.

Li Zimai said to himself: "When the time comes, I will bring Yang Mingxi and the squad leader with me..."

"Go check if there are any tomatoes in the refrigerator."

Cheng Che interrupted him.

Li Zimai understood what Cheng Che meant. He didn't go to get the tomatoes. Instead, he walked over and put his arms around Cheng Che's waist from behind, saying softly, "Cheche, aren't you going to talk to me about the future?"

Cheng Che moved the corners of his mouth, but couldn't say anything. He hated that Li Zimai had blatantly included himself in his plan, and he couldn't respond to any promises.

"It's okay, Cheche is still too young."

Li Zimai placed a gentle kiss on the corner of Cheng Che's eye, and his lingering voice penetrated into Cheng Che's heart, "I'll wait for my Cheche to grow up a little bit."

"...Let me go."

Cheng Che got out of his arms and tried to avoid the topic, "Go sit in the living room and don't bother me here."

"I'm watching you cook, so I'll learn from you. I can't always have you cooking."

"I'll learn next time. Go to the living room first."

Li Zimai still stared at him motionlessly. Cheng Che pulled out his trump card, "Be obedient, finish your work early, eat early... and have sex early."

The other party's eyes widened, and he quickly sat on the sofa to wait for the meal, with a speed comparable to that of a leopard hunting. After Cheng Che prepared one meat dish and one vegetable dish, Li Zimai finished three big bowls at an extraordinary speed.

Cheng Che was afraid that he would choke, so he kept asking him to eat slowly and even poured him water. Li Zimai ate and drank in a hurry, and washed the dishes while Cheng Che was looking at his phone. He washed them very quickly and didn't even put the dishes symmetrically. His obsessive-compulsive disorder was almost completely cured.

.........

When everything was going on, Cheng Che's cell phone started ringing, and the ringing was so loud that it was annoying.

.........

Li Zimai understood something from the other person's tightly pursed lips and stiff expression, "Who's calling?"

Cheng Che lowered his head and remained silent, as if trying to calm himself down. After a long while, he slowly turned his head and kissed Li Zimai on the corner of his mouth. He pretended to be casual and said, "My grandma called me. I have to call her back. You wait for me in the room."

During the few minutes that Cheng Che went to the living room to answer the phone, Li Zi had an extremely difficult time. He knew it was not his grandmother calling, but Cheng Che was unwilling to say, and he could not ask any further questions.

Li Zimai suddenly became very irritable, so irritated that he wanted to smoke, hit someone, and rebel. But his Cheche never let his guard down towards him.

When Cheng Che came back, he saw Li Zimai sitting on the bed and felt a little guilty. "I have something to do later. Hurry up."

Li Zimai lost all her romantic thoughts and pulled his arm down, avoiding his kiss. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing."

Li Zimai frowned and complained, "Why didn't you tell me anything? I'm your boyfriend, why can't I know?"

Cheng Che pursed his lips and said nothing, obviously unhappy.

Li Zimai bit his mouth angrily, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"There's nothing to say." Cheng Che tried to cover it up. "You're not going to do it? Then I'll go back first."

"What do I take myself for?"

Cheng Che realized that Li Zimai was really angry. When he was angry, he had no expression, his eyes were slightly drooping, his brows were lowered, and there was no ups and downs in the ending of his words. He looked very ungentle, and there was even a sharp and cold light in his eyes.

Cheng Che compromised and said, "I don't want to argue with you. I'll leave first and go back to the dormitory later."

Li Zimai grabbed him and hugged him tightly, "Don't leave."

Cheng Che glanced at the time and said, "It's really nothing. I can handle it, or I'll come back when I'm done. You just wait for me at home."

Li Zimai responded sullenly, not daring to push his luck any further. He knew that given Cheng Che's awkward and stubborn personality, it was a rare exception for him to lower his head and coax him. "If you want to come back, I'll wait for you."
