Chapter 329: Important Decision, Ask Me to Test a Word

Chapter 329: Important Decision, Ask Me to Test a Word

Although Chen Xiaozhen's skills were good, the journey was indeed quite long. It was already evening when they arrived in Boten.

Murong Feng's villa is located in Boten New Village, a multi-ethnic village. According to Chen Xiaozhen, Mr. Feng donated money to a local primary school, which allowed him to acquire the land and build his villa.

The villa is not big, covering an area of no more than 300 square meters. It has three floors and is decorated in the bright yellow color that you see when you enter Laos.

Murong Feng was standing at the gate, with several other people standing nearby. When the car arrived, he led the others forward to greet us.

It was already past the normal dinner time, and Murong Feng led us directly into the restaurant.

A large, layered lamp hangs in the center of the restaurant, creating a magnificent scene. The orange light casts a warm glow over the restaurant.

Murong Feng introduced everyone to each other. The gathering was full of businessmen, including those who owned restaurants in Moting, contractors, jade dealers, and travel agencies. Mr. Li, Mr. Zhang, Mr. Wang, and Mr. Xiang were all so numerous that it was hard to remember them all.

We ate Yunnan cuisine and drank red wine. Chinese drinking culture reigned supreme. We drank to our heart's content. Fortunately, the wine wasn't too intoxicating, and I was a bit hungry. After finishing two bottles, we began to eat.

Being able to eat Chinese food in a foreign country naturally whets my appetite. The chef is a Bai ethnic minority from Dali, and his taste is quite suitable for southerners.

After dinner, everyone went to the living room for tea and talked about doing business in Boten. Everyone saw it as an opportunity. They said Boten could become the next Shenzhen, and it was better to come early than late.

Several CEOs recounted stories of their close friends' successes, which moved Mr. Chen deeply. Everyone was so engrossed in the conversation that they chatted for over two hours and still felt they hadn't finished. Only, considering our travels, did they suggest resuming the conversation another day.

The next day, Shao Youxiang arrived and treated us to lunch at the Golden Hotel and dinner at the Jinglan Hotel in the evening.

In the evening, we watched the "Boten Show". The so-called Boten Show, let me explain it in a tactful way, is a kind of singing and dancing performance by people who are more beautiful than real women from Thailand.

Some friends say I inflate the word count. I really don't want to inflate the number. I write relatively neatly, but sometimes I can't publish it.

With Murong Feng and Shao Youxiang by my side, we decided to go sightseeing. Our first stop was the Ancient Salt Field. Having eaten salt for decades, I still don't know how it's made.

There are two kinds of salt. One is sea salt, which I have never seen sun-dried. The other is well salt, and now I can finally see how well salt is made.

The well water evaporates, the moisture is gone, and what remains is salt. However, the dilapidated village and the simple craftsmanship make me admire the sincerity of Laos.

They dare to show off the shabby lives of the villagers, which is like a naked man who is not afraid of wearing silk. Compared with us who only show the good side, they are not afraid to air their dirty laundry.

Then there's the elephant ride. This is a great program. The world's largest land mammals are so gentle under the guidance of the trainers. It's a real conquest to ride on one.

Even Ningjing was not afraid. With the help of the elephant trainer, she sat on the high elephant's back and started singing.

Of course, for me, riding an elephant is novel, but crossing the tropical rainforest is even more eye-opening.

The six wonders of the tropical rainforest appeared before my eyes one by one, such as high buttress roots, roots hugging rocks, hanging gardens, vines strangling trees, flowers growing on old stems, and vines and trees climbing... From time to time, I could hear birds singing and the sound of springs tinkling under my feet.

After a day of sightseeing, we stayed at Murong Feng’s villa that night.

As Boten is a small place, there didn't seem to be much else to see. So we started our business trip, visiting construction sites, tourist centers, duty-free jewelry trading centers, and international shopping malls.

Everywhere was crowded with people, everywhere was a scene of bustling construction, and everywhere were packed hotels and restaurants. So, on the last night before leaving, Mr. Chen presided over a discussion meeting.

There were only five people attending this meeting: Mr. Chen, myself, Murong Feng, Shao Youxiang, and Mr. Li, Murong Feng's good friend.

Mr. Li, a construction contractor, was called Li Quande. He suggested that there were only two major hotels in Boten: the Golden Hotel and the Jinglan Hotel. Mr. Chen already had a hotel business, so investing in one would be a bonanza.

Mr. Chen said: "After a few days of investigation, Boten is a more suitable place for investment than Hanoi. If Xuri invests in the hotel industry here, it will have its own unique advantages.

First, there is a mature hotel management system, and second, Xuri can continuously supply talents here."

After Mr. Chen finished speaking, he looked at me and said, "Shanhong, what do you think?"

I was also confused for a moment.

What are my thoughts?

I always feel that this trip is not like the construction of Bainiao Lake, nor is it like the visit to Dongli Township to talk about development. My mood has always been a little low.

I laughed and said, “I haven’t thought it through yet.”

Murong Feng: "How about trying a character test?"

Shao Youxiang also said: "Yes, it's best to test a word."

Mr. Chen said, "Come, test the character 'lai'."

Seeing that I didn't respond for a long time, Mr. Chen emphasized again: "Come, that means come over. Once you come here, you must come."

I said, "Mr. Chen, this is such a big deal, you should think about it carefully."

Actually, I really don’t want to test this word.

Mr. Chen said, "It's okay to talk about it, just for reference. For such a big thing, I will of course be extremely cautious."

Li Quande didn't know I could tell fortunes by reading characters, and thought it was just a game, so he said, "Can reading characters accurately tell fortunes? This is the first time I've heard of it. Come on, give it a try, and let me see for myself."

I said, "It's better not to come, or it's better to come later."

It was like throwing a huge rock into the water, splashing water everywhere.

Mr. Chen was shocked and was the first to ask, "Why?"

Then a series of calls sounded:

Why?

Why?

Why?
