The antique market was bustling with people coming and going. A stall owner was waving a folding fan, with several jade bracelets of warm quality displayed on his stall, but he did not shout like others.
A woman was attracted by the bracelet. She came forward to examine it for a moment and asked, "How much is this bracelet?"
The stall owner paused as he fanned himself, then looked up and said, "Not for sale. Only for those who are destined to meet."
"For free?"
The stall owner waved his folding fan and nodded. The woman's eyes lit up: "Can you give me one?"
The stall owner looked at her for a few seconds, then stood up and picked up a lush, emerald green bracelet from the stall and handed it to her. The woman took it with a look of disbelief on her face: "Are you really going to give it to me?"
The stall owner sat back down, raised his folding fan and said, "Here you go."
"Can you give me a few more?"
"No, you are just her destined one."
The woman didn't realize it was her fault and not the thing. She was just glad that she got the bracelet for free. The more she looked at the bracelet, the more she liked it.
She looked at the bracelet again and again and wanted to ask her daughter to come over and get another one, but when she felt her pocket, she found that she didn't have her cell phone with her.
The woman looked at the stall owner and said, "Don't go. I'll bring someone else over." Then she turned around and left in a hurry.
But after she took a few steps, the air around her suddenly fluctuated slightly. It turned out that the stall was not in the market. It was a strange space. Among the people coming and going, only the woman went in.
When Dong Yun brought his daughter back, the stall had disappeared.
She searched back and forth but couldn't find it. Wang Wenhua followed her and said impatiently, "Mom, why are you so anxious to pull me out? What's wrong?"
"There was a person who was delivering a bracelet here just now, but he's gone now."
Wang Wenhua: "Whose bracelet is given away for free? Can a bracelet given away for free be real?"
"Don't disbelieve me." Dong Yun raised his arm. "This is the bracelet I just gave you. Why would I lie to you?"
Wang Wenhua took a look at the bracelet and snorted, "This bracelet is obviously fake. Beer bottles can be made into bracelets now, and you still believe this?"
"He has a lot of bracelets on his stall. I wanted to get another one, but he said he only gives them to the right person."
Wang Wenhua's contempt grew even stronger when he heard this. He rolled his eyes and said, "You believe this kind of nonsense? Can you please stop being so stupid and have a little brains?"
Dong Yun hurriedly defended himself: "It's true, he really said that."
"Okay, okay, okay, it's true." Wang Wenhua waved his hand perfunctorily, his tone impatient, "But the person is gone. Don't wait any longer, let's go back."
Dong Yun refused to leave. She insisted, "Wait a little longer. Maybe he will come back."
Wang Wenhua became even more impatient. "You wait by yourself. I don't have the time to waste with you."
"Then go back. I brought my phone with me this time." Dong Yun instructed, "I'll call you as soon as I see him come back. Remember to answer."
The corners of Wang Wenhua's mouth twitched uncontrollably, "Okay."
Dong Yun waited until dark. Wang Zhengfang returned home and found that Dong Yun was not at home. He went into the kitchen and looked around. Seeing that no one was cooking, his anger grew stronger.
"Where are the people? Where did they go?" Wang Zhengfang walked back to the living room and shouted at the top of his voice.
Wang Wenhua heard his father's roar from upstairs and went downstairs and called out, "Dad."
Wang Zhengfang's expression softened slightly when he saw his daughter coming down. "Where's your mother? Where did she go?"
“In the cultural relics market.”
"Going there again." Wang Zhengfang frowned and asked, "Did she use the money to buy random things again?"
Wang Wenhua shook her head: "I didn't buy it this time. Someone said she gave her a bracelet and she wanted another one, but then she disappeared after she turned around."
"I asked her to come back, but she insisted to wait a little longer, saying maybe she would come back."
Wang Zhengfang: "Isn't that stupid? Who would give her a bracelet for free? How could a bracelet given for free be real?"
Wang Wenhua: "That's what I said, but she didn't believe it."
"For a fake bracelet, I forgot to cook. I'm getting stupider and stupider."
Wang Wenhua asked, "Dad, how about I call my mom and ask her to come back?"
Wang Zhengfang: "No, I want to see how long she can stay outside. Go downstairs and buy some pork head and steamed buns."
Wang Wenhua: "Okay."
When Dong Yun returned home, the two had already finished eating. There was garbage on the table and the smell of cold dishes filled the living room. The two did not clean up after eating. A chopstick fell diagonally to the ground, and the spilled oil dotted the floor.
As soon as Dong Yun entered the room, he asked, "Have you two eaten yet?"
"My dad asked me to buy some cold dishes, and we ate them." Wang Wenhua answered as he walked upstairs.
"Let me see what kind of bracelet it is that can keep you away from home for so long."
Dong Yun looked at the sky outside and found that it was already so dark. She was only thinking about the bracelet and didn't even notice it.
Seeing her dazed, Wang Zhengfang impatiently urged her again. Dong Yun came to her senses, took off the bracelet on her wrist, and handed it over.
The bracelet was indeed of excellent quality, but it was too good. Wang Zhengfang had never seen such a fine bracelet before, and he thought it was fake. He laughed and said, "Just for a bracelet like this, you forgot to go home?"
He smiled disdainfully: "Look, does this look real?"
"It's quite nice, take a closer look."
Wang Zhengfang lay back on the sofa and threw the bracelet into Dong Yun's arms. He said nonchalantly, "Just wear it for fun. Those people can only deceive you."
Dong Yun touched the bracelet, and Wang Zhengfang said, "Put the things away. It smells terrible."
She took off the bracelet and put it in her pocket, picked up their bowl and chopsticks, and soon the sound of water came from the kitchen.
When she finished washing the dishes, dried her hands and came out of the kitchen, she saw Wang Zhengfang lying on the sofa, snoring in sleep.
She walked into the bedroom alone and took out the bracelet to look at it again.
It was really beautiful. It was the first time she saw such a beautiful bracelet. She suddenly wanted to laugh because she had never bought a bracelet before.
I spent a long time strolling around the antique market, buying only household items and never thought of buying a bracelet.
If she had to pay money, she might have to think about it, but if it was given for free, she would be very happy.
I stared at the bracelet in a daze and didn't fall asleep until the middle of the night. Suddenly, I heard scolding from the living room. Wang Zhengfang walked in and said, "Why didn't you wake me up and let me sleep in the living room?"
Dong Yun: "I saw you fell asleep, so I thought I'd call you later."
"Wait a minute, have you waited until now? I just woke up from the cold in the living room. Do you know how cold it is?"
"I'll definitely call you next time."
"Look at that broken bracelet of yours. Have you forgotten the time?" Wang Zhengfang's anger bubbled up again. "Someone gave you a fake bracelet, and you're so happy."
"The more I look at it, the angrier I get. I really want to smash it." Wang Zhengfang said as he reached out to take it.
Dong Yun took it back in his hand and said, "Okay, I won't delay things in the future."
"Look at how you protect it, like it's a real treasure."
Dong Yun went to sleep in the bed, leaving most of the space for Wang Zhengfang, "Come and sleep."
Wang Zhengfang lay down cursing. Seeing that he had fallen asleep, Dong Yun turned his back and continued to look at the bracelet.
