Chapter 275 Eyewitness Xia Zhining returned to her car and curiously searched for Director He's name.
As expected, he has quite a background; he's a top-notch director who has directed several hit dramas!
Her inner calculations immediately started clicking away.
Having met a big director in the film and television industry, who knows, maybe I can actually get a role for the group of dramatic little animals in my own zoo who always "add scenes" for tourists and even watch short dramas on their tablets during breaks?
As he was leaving, Boss Crow flapped his wings and volunteered: "Boss, I'll go take a look around the neighborhood and ask if anyone saw who buried it!"
[With so many small animals in the desert, burying three corpses was such a commotion, someone must have seen it!]
Xia Zhining raised an eyebrow in surprise and teased it deliberately, "Oh, has the sun risen in the west?"
"You usually act like it's going to kill you if I ask you to work a night shift, why are you being so diligent today?"
Boss Crow immediately puffed out his chest, his voice righteous and indignant: "I, Crow, am the embodiment of justice! Solving this case is of utmost urgency!"
He then lowered his voice, his small eyes gleaming, "...While I'm at it, let's see if there are any sand dunes that fit the filming requirements! Three hundred thousand! That's enough to buy so much sparkly stuff!"
Finally arriving at the desert resort at night, Xia Zhining was immediately struck by the bustling scene before her.
Modern facilities blend perfectly with desert scenery, creating a bustling and lively atmosphere.
In her hotel room, Xia Zhining was writing and drawing in her notebook.
Ji Shuyun walked over with a water glass and asked gently, "What are you thinking about? Why are you so serious?"
Xia Zhining pushed the notebook over, on which was drawn a simple diagram: a camel, a bundle of linens, and a big question mark in the middle.
“Brother, look at these two things—the hotel’s bleached cloth and the smell of camel feed. They seem completely unrelated.”
Ji Shuyun stared at the sketch, pondered for a moment, and then put down his water glass: "Let's go ask the front desk."
He led Xia Zhining to the lobby and asked the front desk staff, "Excuse me, in your hotel, what kind of employees have access to both the linen room and the camels?"
The receptionist looked up and saw Ji Shuyun. She was stunned for a moment by his handsome appearance, and a blush rose on her face.
But when she caught a glimpse of the police ID the other party showed, her smile vanished instantly, and she became tense, as if the hotel had gotten involved in some kind of murder case.
She thought carefully for a moment and replied cautiously, "If you're talking about someone who can handle both linens and camels... then it's probably a tour guide who works with the hotel."
"They often take guests on camel rides, and sometimes they also help the hotel transport supplies."
Ji Shuyun nodded, her tone still gentle: "Approximately how many tour guides does the hotel currently work with?"
"There are many!" the receptionist said, counting on her fingers. "Our hotel has more than a dozen long-term partners."
"There are more than a dozen hotels and guesthouses of all sizes in this resort area, and the number of guides they cooperate with must be at least a hundred."
Upon hearing this, Xia Zhining's face immediately fell, and she muttered softly, "Hundreds? How are we supposed to find that..."
Seeing this, Ji Shuyun gently patted her shoulder: "Ningning, don't be discouraged, this is already a big breakthrough."
