Liu He froze and didn't speak. After Ye Man vented her anger, she felt much better. He Zhangcheng looked at her with surprise, after all, she had never acted like this before. She was always gentle and kind in front of him and never argued with anyone.
Ye Man turned her face away from him. She had never thought that she would occasionally become a shrew after getting married. Whenever she spent a long time with her mother-in-law, she felt afraid of the unfamiliar side of herself.
However, her mother-in-law was just a paper tiger. She thought that since her family was well-off, Ye Man's family was also well-off, so she always used some harsh words to subtly belittle her. The mother and daughter finished their meal separately, and Ye Man sat in the room playing with her toys. Occasionally, they could hear Liu He sitting on the sofa in the living room making veiled insults. No, that's not right; she's now directly calling people by name.
Xiaoting would occasionally pout and frown, trying to rush out, but Ye Man would stop her and laugh as she loosened her clenched fist.

There were only two rooms. Originally, she and Xiaoting slept in one room, and He Zhangcheng slept in another room by himself. After the two of them came, He Zhangcheng had to move here and sleep on the floor every night.
He Zhangcheng was spinning like a top tonight. Although Ma Mingyue insisted that he not wash the dishes, saying that he would do these chores, He Zhangcheng did not force her. He simply poured a basin of water and wiped the living room clean.
However, he didn't do the work very carefully and kept looking up at the closed room. It wasn't all bad that Mom came; she never had the chance to step inside before, but now she could sleep on the floor.
Ye Man had just raised her eyebrows and looked furious, her expression more vivid than ever before. At that moment, He Zhangcheng had no idea that she shouldn't be arguing with her mother like that; instead, his heart was beating faster and faster.
He'd been lingering outside for so long, too afraid to go in. Noticing his mother's strange gaze, he took a deep breath and said, "Mom, you should go to sleep early."
He knocked on the door and opened it. The mother and daughter sitting on the floor turned to look at him at the same time. Xiaoting immediately lowered her head and focused on the toy in her hand, while Yeman quickly looked away.
He Zhangcheng stood at the door, unsure of what to do with his hands. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the unwashed bowls they had placed to the side. He went over and took the bowls out to wash them.
