Chapter 429 Go open the door

Xiaoting finished eating the biscuits by herself, wiped her mouth, and then gulped down several mouthfuls of water from the kettle. She is too young to make malted milk powder by herself, so she wiped her mouth clean and waited for her father to come out so he could help her.

However, the door to my parents' room has never been opened. I stood in the living room staring at that door while also looking at another room. Why did Grandma suddenly go back?

Unable to understand, she stood there for a while longer before finally running inside and knocking on the door, "Mom!"

It was her knocking that broke the tense atmosphere inside. After removing the medicine, He Zhangcheng stood there. Ye Man's face was covered in tears, and she was embarrassed to let him see them. She kept covering her face with a pillow, trying to pretend to be dead. He Zhangcheng looked at her chest heaving with sobs, and then at her slender thighs covered with his own handprints. He remained silent for a long time.

His handprints covered her once fair thighs, leaving red marks everywhere, creating a kind of sadistic beauty.

To stop his mind from wandering, He Zhangcheng could only quickly turn his head away.

I felt a little regretful; it seemed I had gone a bit too far. The marks on my legs looked rather horrifying.

His thoughts drifted in other directions beyond his control. What man wouldn't have impure thoughts after hearing Ye Man's tearful moans and her legs struggling backward? This was his wife, after all.

Ye Man took a breath, feeling embarrassed to move the pillow. She wanted to wait for He Zhangcheng to leave so she could deal with the tear stains on her face. She wasn't a child, so why was she crying so miserably? But he didn't leave. He stood there, his gaze still seemingly fixed on her.

Ye Man: "..."

Without even thinking, she knew where he was looking, and quickly reached out to grab the blanket to cover herself again. He Zhangcheng bent down and pressed her hand down, his voice a little hoarse.

"...the medicine stained the blankets."

After he finished speaking, he didn't pull his hand back, and his posture didn't change. He was still bent over, and the two were quite close. Ye Man's body temperature, which hadn't dissipated, rose sharply again. Under the blanket, she almost caught a burning sensation. She tried to pull her hand back, but He Zhangcheng pressed it down without saying a word.

There was no other sound in the room except for the rapid beating of the hearts of the two people, each lost in their own thoughts. It wasn't until Xiaoting knocked on the door that they snapped out of their daze and quickly backed away. He Zhangcheng stood up and looked towards the corner, "I..."

Ye Man then realized that her daughter had been outside all along, and without daring to delay any longer, she quickly sat up. He Zhangcheng turned around and saw her face, which was red and tear-stained, covered by the quilt.

"Mother?"

Xiaoting had already tiptoed to turn the doorknob when He Zhangcheng suddenly realized that Ye Man's image was not good for his daughter to see, even though the two of them hadn't done anything.

Ye Man thought the same thing and quickly gestured to him, "Go open the door and bring Xiaoting to the living room."

The door was suddenly pushed open, and before Xiaoting could even speak, her father picked her up and pulled her into his arms. Before she could even glance into the room, she was already back in the living room.

Xiaoting was stunned for a moment before she realized that her father was hugging her. She instinctively tried to struggle, but He Zhangcheng touched his nose, afraid that his daughter would push the door open again. He guessed that Ye Man was not done yet, so he simply used a little force to hug his daughter even tighter.

"Xiaoting, have you had breakfast? How about Daddy makes you breakfast? What would you like to eat?"

Aside from when Xiaoting actively asked to be held on the mountain, she wouldn't ask to be held at other times. Whenever her grandma was around, or her dad spoke to her, Xiaoting would give him a cold shoulder. She was particularly uncomfortable being held all of a sudden.

He Zhangcheng's heart was pounding. He didn't care about his daughter's feelings or what time it was. There was no time to make breakfast. He figured he would have to go to training hungry this morning. He carried Xiaoting to the kitchen.

"How about Daddy cooks you some porridge?"
