Xiaoting had been playing for a long time during the day, and now she was lying next to her mother, fast asleep like a little pig, her mouth slightly open and making soft snoring sounds. In addition, there was the sound of Ye Man gently patting her back.

Her daughter was lying right next to her. Ye Man knew that He Zhangcheng wouldn't do anything to her, but she was still scared and didn't dare to breathe too heavily.
The man was lying on the floor under the bed. It was summer and the blanket was not thick, but he felt like he was lying in a fire. Everything was hot, even the air he breathed was scorching, and his chest felt like it was burning dry.
The culprit was lying not far from him. He Zhangcheng knew that as long as he sat up and reached out to pull the woman's hand that had just committed the crime, he could grab her and drag her off the bed.
But her daughter was lying right there, so close that she didn't dare move. In the end, she could only futilely lift the blanket to let in some fresh air and awkwardly reach out to cover her eyes.
It was no use, absolutely no use. The heat in his chest was still burning. He held his breath, but it was all in vain. He threw off the covers to take a cold shower, but as soon as he moved, he noticed that the breathing above him seemed to have stopped.
Even though she knew the room was pitch black and the person couldn't see her, Ye Man was still so frightened that she closed her eyes. After waiting for a while and hearing no more noise, she finally dared to open her eyes.
He Zhangcheng suddenly twitched the corner of his mouth, realizing that he wasn't the only one suffering; at least, he wasn't the only one in a panic today.
He didn't move after that, letting the blanket be pulled back and lying on the floor, staring at the ceiling with his eyes open.
Ye Man was constantly worried, but she didn't expect to actually fall asleep under these circumstances. She probably drank too much water during the day and didn't go to the toilet afterwards. She frowned as she assessed whether she could make it to tomorrow.
Finally, after confirming that he couldn't wait until tomorrow, he stopped making any noise downstairs for a while, guessing that the other person had fallen asleep, before quietly preparing to get out of bed.
He Zhangcheng couldn't fall asleep. He calmed his breathing for a long time before suppressing the fire in his body, but he still couldn't sleep. After a while, he heard two breaths above him and sighed silently. The culprit was already asleep, so what could he do?
He Zhangcheng silently endured it, but when he realized he couldn't stop it, he simply let the dangerous thoughts in his mind wander, until he noticed the breathing above him becoming heavy. He held his breath and dared not move, listening to her sneaking out of the covers like a little mouse.
She would stop moving after a short while, as if afraid someone would grab her. After realizing there was no danger, she would secretly move again. He Zhangcheng seemed to be able to imagine her expression. After waiting for a while, when she stretched out her foot to get out of bed, he suddenly got up and grabbed her ankle.
"ah"
Suddenly, a hand reached out, which would frighten anyone. Ye Man instinctively screamed, lost her balance, and fell straight down, landing in the man's arms. Both of them groaned.
Xiaoting upstairs seemed to have been woken up, "...Mom?"
Ye Man placed her hands on the man's chest, deliberately creating some distance between them. She ignored the pain in her forehead and even the awkwardness of the moment. The two of them pricked up their ears like thieves, afraid of being discovered by Xiaoting.
Thankfully, she turned over and went back to sleep.
Ye Man breathed a sigh of relief and gently gestured to He Zhangcheng to let her go, but the man's hand was like an iron clamp.

He Zhangcheng naturally couldn't let go, and the fire in his body reignited.
