Chapter 115 Ancestor's Oath

"Your clan leader really sent you here." Zhang Peng saw the cat sisters, nodded at the minotaur, and let the two of them come in front of him.

The minotaurs were afraid of danger and gathered around, but they were all panting and looked listless.

They met the spirit of the ancestors last night, and it turned out that the spirit of the ancestors was even more excited than them. He kept them chatting all night. Except for the children, none of the adult minotaurs slept.

"I am Mengni from the Dora Cat Tribe, and this is my sister Mengmeng. I haven't asked for your name yet." Mengni asked politely.

"Sister, I know his name. His name is Zhang Peng. What a strange name." Mengmeng was hugged by her sister and spoke first.

She is afraid of the undead, but she is not afraid of minotaurs or rat people at all. There are no undead around her, and Mengmeng is very lively.

Zhang Peng's dark circles grew deeper. He glanced at the minotaurs who were struggling to hold on and waved his hand. "You all should go and rest. Don't worry about me. They pose no threat."

"Okay then, if you have any problems, just call us." Mu Mu was also very sleepy. He usually went to bed early at night, and it was rare for him to not sleep all night. He was so sleepy that he couldn't open his eyes. Zhang Peng had told them to go and rest, and he was too lazy to be pretentious, so he let the minotaurs disperse.

After the minotaur left, Zhang Peng looked at the cat sisters with a smile. His dry smile, coupled with the heavy dark circles under his eyes, made him look nothing like a good person. Mengmeng shuddered and hid behind her sister, revealing a pair of small eyes to observe secretly.

Am I that scary?

Puzzled for a moment, Zhang Peng asked, "Where's the intelligence?"

Mengni turned her head to look at her sister hiding behind her. Mengmeng poked her little head out, and the furry cat trembled, baring its sharp little fangs and asked, "Where's the meat?"

"If you don't give me the information, how can I know how much meat to give you?"

"I'll give you the information. What if you don't give me the meat after reading it?"

"I have credibility and character to back it up!"

"I don't trust your credibility and character!"

Mengmeng jumped out from behind her sister, put her hands on her hips and argued with Zhang Peng.

Zhang Peng rubbed his brows and pointed at himself. "For me, as a businessman, the most important thing is my reputation and character. Are you trying to humiliate me? If you don't show me the intelligence, how can I know if it's useful? Who says you can't show me the goods before doing a deal?"

Meng Meng thought about it seriously, but still shook her head, "No, let me see the meat first."

"Hey, you little guy, I really am..." Zhang Peng rolled up his sleeves and waved back, "Give me some meat!"

In order to make a deal, he had already obtained a lot of food from Li Ziyu and put it in his own fortress as a backup. When he gave the order, the mole people immediately ran over and took 10 units of meat.

"This amount of meat is not enough! Are you trying to lie to me? It turns out I was right not to show you the information!" Meng Meng looked at the meat brought by the mole man and said with a pout.

"It's not enough. Okay, keep moving!" Zhang Peng waved again.

Soon, 30 units of animal meat were piled up in front of the cat sisters. Meng Meng nodded in satisfaction, groped in her arms, took out a piece of animal skin, and handed it to Zhang Peng, "Here you go, this is the tribe we know around the forbidden area."

Zhang Peng took the animal skin, unfolded it and looked at it. His face turned dark and he reached out to grab Meng Meng's arm which was secretly reaching for the food.

"What the hell is this you gave me? You want to take the meat from me?" Zhang Peng said unhappily, pointing the animal skin at Meng Meng.

There was a series of names written on the animal skin, and other than that, there was no other information. Well, I used 30 units of meat to exchange for a bunch of names that I didn't know what they were. If Liu Xingxing and Li Ziyu knew about this, I would no longer be able to be a businessman and would be laughed to death.

Meng Meng held onto the meat tightly, grumbling in dissatisfaction, "Written on this hide are the tribes around us. I gave it all to you, and you still won't let me take the meat. You are not a good person."

Zhang Peng laughed in anger and shook her hand, only to find that the little cat-man had held the meat tightly. "What's the point of giving me a bunch of names? I want information about the tribe and a map!"

Meng Meng tried hard to retract her hand, but after several attempts, she found it useless. She rolled her eyes and said loudly, "Our deal didn't mention a map. If you need more detailed information, we'll discuss it in the next deal. Just give me the meat this time."

"Hey, I find that you are even more evil than me. You want to take my food by using a few names. That won't do. If you don't give me the detailed information, you can't take the meat away." Zhang Peng didn't buy into the little cat girl's tricks.

Meng Ni observed silently from the side. She found that the people on the undead side did not seem as scary as she thought, especially the businessman. Although he looked very angry, he actually posed no threat to them.

They are now on the territory of the undead. If human merchants want to rob them, they have plenty of ways to do it. They can just capture them and torture them to find out everything. But they didn't do that. They really took out food in exchange for information.

Patting Mengmeng's shoulder, Mengni advised, "Mengmeng, stop making trouble and tell him the information."

"Sister..." The little cat girl looked at Meng Ni aggrievedly.

Meng Ni leaned over and whispered in her ear, "This is the territory of the undead."

The little cat girl was startled and looked around in panic. After hesitating for a moment, she let go of her hand and said, "Okay, I'll tell you."

The cat sisters and Zhang Peng sat on the ground and told about the tribes around the forbidden area one by one. Zhang Peng also pulled Liu Xingxing over and asked him to draw a map according to what the sisters said.

Liu Xingxing was pulled here just after waking up. He was quite dissatisfied at first, but when he found out that it was about drawing a map, he became interested. This would be very helpful for treasure hunting, and he also took the opportunity to ask about the surrounding terrain.
