The loud panting in the tent stopped abruptly, and after a while a voice said, "Let him in."
The guard glared at the short scout and yelled, "Be careful what you say!"
The scout smiled indifferently and went into the big tent.
The decoration in the tent was quite luxurious. Looking at the main seat, there was a shirtless, left-eye blind wolf-headed orc sitting there. In the slightly darker area next to him, there was a female wolf-headed orc wearing clothes.
The scout glanced at him, then quickly looked away, kneeling before the shirtless orc and saying, "Scout, run fast, meet Captain Bei Feng Xiao."
The shirtless orc hummed and waved. The female orc who had just put on her clothes came to him and sat on his lap. He hugged the female orc and asked, "What happened? There was a noise today."
The scout immediately reported back, "I've already checked. It's coming from the northwest, from the Undead. It seems they're fighting someone, probably the magicians who've been spotted on the grassland lately."
The shirtless orc known as Beifengxiao sat up straight. "To the northwest, that's where the undead lair is. How dare those magicians attack it? Yeah, that's right. If they weren't attacking the undead lair, there wouldn't be such a big scene. I can hear it from this far away."
"Anything else?"
"The boy only found out about the situation in the northwest."
"Well, go down and get some food."
"Thank you, Captain."
The orc scout named Run Fast then stood up and walked out of the tent backwards.
After leaving the tent, he glanced at the two orcs guarding the gate, then ran to get food with a smile.
Inside the big tent, Bei Feng Xiao held the female orc in his arms, stroking his chin in deep thought.
The female orc was obviously not unfamiliar with his appearance. She sat obediently on his lap, not moving or saying a word.
After thinking for a while, Bei Feng Xiao shouted outside, "Someone come."
The guard standing outside the door immediately ran in with his head lowered, not daring to raise his eyelids, and hunched over, he asked, "Captain, what are your instructions?"
Bei Feng Xiao pushed the female orc aside, stood up, tightened his pants, and said loudly, "Brothers, get ready. We are about to set off to check on the undead."
The guard looked up in surprise and said, "Captain, it's very dangerous over there with the undead. We only have these brothers. If we anger the undead, we might not be able to survive."
It’s okay to mess with the Orc Empire, but messing with the Undead will only bring disaster.
This has become a consensus among the robbers.
It’s not that no one has ever thought about the undead caravans. There were even some arrogant people who actually robbed the caravans, but ended up being reduced to ashes and their bodies were taken away.
The Orc Empire sometimes chases bandits for a while, but after a long time, they stop chasing. But when it comes to the Undead, they chase them all day and night without stopping.
When being hunted by the undead, no force on the grassland will give them shelter. Neither the Orc Empire nor the nomadic tribe will shelter those being hunted by the undead. They are more likely to help the undead hunt them.
Bei Feng Xiao glared at the single remaining eye and shouted, "Do you think I'm stupid and brainless? Do I need you to remind me?"
The fierce gleam in that single eye made the guard tremble with fear. He didn't dare to say anything more and said honestly, "Yes, I will go down and inform the brothers right away."
Bei Fengxiao waved his hand impatiently and sent the guards away.
He knew in his heart that his men said they were brothers, but in fact they were just together because of interests or because they couldn't survive. These people feared power but not virtue.
If you are nice to them, they will think you are easy to bully. You have to beat and scold them like livestock from time to time, and then they will be obedient.
Not long after the guard went out to notify, an orc lifted the curtain and entered the tent.
The person who came in was also an orc with a wolf head, named Caoyuanhong, and he was the second in command of the bandit group under Beifengxiao.
Caoyuanhong rushed in and asked bluntly, "Brother, what's going on? Are we going to go to war with the undead?"
Bei Feng Xiao saw his brother coming over and laughed, "It's not that I want to go to war with the undead, but the wind blew into our hands."
Hearing this, Caoyuanhong suddenly became curious and asked quickly, "What happened?"
Bei Feng Xiao waved his paw, letting Cao Yuanhong sit down first. Then he explained, "The scouts just reported that something's happened with the Undead. They're fighting with the humans. Listen, the wind on the grassland is restless today. It's because the Undead are fighting with the humans."
Caoyuanhong had heard about this before, so she nodded and then asked in confusion, "Brother, are you planning to take advantage of this opportunity to break into the Undead Castle and plunder it?"
To be a bandit on the grassland, one must not only be ruthless but also smart; both are indispensable.
If you are not cruel enough, you will die quickly. If you are not smart enough, you will die early.
Caoyuanhong was able to follow Beifengxiao and become the second-in-command of the bandit group. He was not only ruthless but also smart. If Beifengxiao really planned to rob the Undead Castle as he said, he felt that he might as well go to bed.
Even if the undead go to war with others, it is not something these bandits can intervene in. At the very least, it will take the elite troops from the cities of the Orc Empire to do so.
Bei Feng Xiao snorted and shook his head. "How could they possibly be looting the Undead Castle? I haven't lived long enough. The scouts said the Undead might be at war with those magicians who came from nowhere. Hehe..."
When he smiled like that, Caoyuanhong understood.
This is not an attempt to start a war with the undead, this is an attempt to rob the magicians!
