The Headhunters live a simple life - they eat what they hunt.
They never think about farming or staying in one place. Instead, they wander in the wilderness and look for food nearby. If they can't find food, then the companions around them are the best food.
The original headhunters were just a group of fleeing human refugees. In the wasteland filled with alien races, humans seemed weak and helpless. They wailed and groaned, begging for help, but all the alien races rejected them, laughed at them, and even killed them for fun.
After experiencing devastation, pain and torture, some of them finally exploded. They no longer begged for help from the aliens, but tried to find ways to hunt them. If they lacked supplies, they would steal and rob. If they lacked food, they would kill and eat alive those aliens who laughed at them!
Many refugees died, but there were always some who survived and evolved, becoming stronger and crazier. They continued from generation to generation and formed the current headhunters. They were predatory, bloodthirsty, and homeless. They were the cancer of the wilderness, and even alien races were afraid of them.
The Headhunters acknowledge that their ancestors were human, but they do not acknowledge that they are human now. They believe that they are beyond human existence because when they were human, everyone laughed at them, drove them away, and slaughtered them, but not now.
In fact, the appearance of the Headhunters is now very different from that of humans, otherwise Li Ziyu would not define them as sub-humans.
After repeated refinement and evolution, the form of the headhunters has become more convenient for moving in the wilderness.
Their bodies are long and thin, as if they are skin and bones, but in fact they have muscles as hard as stone under the skin, which gives them great explosive power. Their long legs and arms make them better at running. In order to increase their combat effectiveness, they grow claws and their teeth become sharp, like wild beasts.
In order to survive, their stomachs and intestines can adapt to raw meat, and various parasites, viruses, and toxins have almost no effect on them. Their weapons come from the enemy, but they do not plunder the enemy's weapons. Instead, they use the enemy's bones as weapons, selecting the hardest bones from the enemy, and making the tools they need by chiseling and grinding.
As a cancer in the wasteland, other tribes are extremely wary of them. Even the Lizardmen, Goblins and other tribes will avoid them and do not want to cause conflicts, all because they are too crazy.
The Headhunters' attack is extremely swift. After discovering their prey, they will get down on all fours, suddenly burst out with powerful strength, approach the prey at an extremely fast speed, and when they rush towards the Undead Fortress, they are like black lines, rushing straight forward.
They took off the vine and straw ropes wrapped around their bodies, tied stones, bones and other objects to one end of the rope, spun it twice in the air, and threw it towards the fortress. The stones and bones got stuck in the gaps, and the headhunters pulled the rope closer and climbed up.
Some headhunters stopped in the distance, took out their bows and arrows, and shot arrows at the fortress to cover their climbing tribesmen.
Such attacks usually worked well, but unfortunately, they seemed to have overlooked that the target of this attack was the undead, a group of beings without pain, fear, and fearlessness of death. The damage caused by arrows to the undead could be said to be negligible. The undead that were decomposed from the buildings did not care about the arrows at all, and aimed their weapons at the headhunters that were climbing up.
These guys climbed extremely fast, like a combination of a gecko and a frog, climbing up quickly a few times and then jumping up a bit. The first headhunter had already rushed to the fortress as soon as the undead appeared.
"They are coming up!" The Minotaur screamed when he saw the Headhunters jumping onto the fortress.
Before the voice fell, three undead had already rushed forward. The leading undead swung the bone knife without hesitation and chopped forward. The bone knife seemed to cut into the leather armor, which was hard and tough. The knife did not even break the skin of the headhunter.
Talent: Bast!
After a long period of evolution, the headhunters have not only improved their strength and speed, but their defense is also outstanding. Their skin has long been different from that of normal humans and has become tough. Even without wearing any equipment, they still have defense.
The headhunter looked down at the place where he was chopped, then looked up at the undead holding the bone knife in front of him, with a grim smile on his face. Since you can't kill me, you're finished.
Just as he was about to use his weapon to fight back, two spears stabbed at him from the left and right. The headhunters did not come forward, but layers of fine waves appeared on their skin, which were extremely fine scales.
Talent: Fine Scales!
Whether it is bast or fine scales, they are all passive defenses. For the headhunters, it is as simple as eating and talking.
But even though there was a layer of fine scales on his skin, the spear still pierced his ribs fiercely. Apart from other things, the undead were still very powerful, and this time the headhunters were unable to defend themselves.
“Ugh!”
He let out a cry of pain, but did not die. Instead, he struggled and swung the sickle-like weapon in his hand, frantically trying to attack the undead holding the bone knife in front of him. Before he could touch the undead, his feet left the ground and he was impaled by two undead holding spears.
The sticky, fishy, and poisonous blood flowed down the gun barrel. The two undead calmly carried the headhunter to the edge of the fortress, shook him vigorously, and threw him down from the fortress.
The headhunters, with nowhere to rely on, fell from the air, kicking up dust on the ground.
As the first headhunter climbed onto the fortress, more headhunters rushed up and fought with the undead. Shouts and cries of killing continued to rang out across the entire platform.
The minotaurs of the Tab tribe did not hide this time. Instead, they picked up the totem poles and stayed in the tribe, watching the headhunters vigilantly, ready to join the battle at any time.
