Chapter 59 Tell a Story

Shamans are not just spellcasters, they are more like inheritors of knowledge.

Various kinds of knowledge will be engraved into the blood because of magic. The shaman's successor can obtain the knowledge left by the ancestors through the blood. The shaman in the other world is more like a "witch".

The strange scene in the main building lobby shocked Li Ziyu and Liu Xingxing greatly. Their expressions changed from surprise to trance, and they were immersed in the story.

Not to mention the two of them, even Mou Mou had never seen such a scene. The Tabu tribe was too small and there was no shaman at all. They only knew that the shaman was powerful, but they didn't know how magical he was. So his state was basically the same as Li Ziyu's. From the initial shock, his expression gradually eased and turned into a trance.

Tastuling spoke slowly according to what he knew in his blood, his voice deep and profound, soothing.

Li Ziyu had an illusion. He felt as if he had turned into a minotaur child, sitting around a campfire with his companions. An elderly and kind old man, leaning on a gnarled wooden cane, was telling them a legend that was like a myth.

“…Death is never an end, but a beginning, because the undead exist. They are very strange. They are not alive because they are dead, but they are not dead because they can still move.”

"The dead hate everything that is alive. They do not represent death, they are death itself."

"When they appear in our world, they signify chaos, darkness, terror, and the arrival of death, like a winter that will never pass, cold and awe-inspiring."

"Don't expect the dead, and don't see them. Wherever they pass, the land will die. The soil will become rotten due to the power of death. It is a deep color. Flowers and plants will disappear, trees will wither, insects will no longer chirp, birds will no longer sing, and everything will return to silence."

“All life will come to an end, but they will be waiting for us at the end…”

As the story was told, a beautiful world appeared before Li Ziyu's eyes. Flowers and plants grew, trees flourished, and the land was lush and green. Insects chirped, birds sang, and the world was flourishing and full of the beauty of life.

Darkness spread, dark clouds covered the sky, and the haze weighed on people's hearts. At some unknown time and from nowhere, the undead came.

They come in large numbers, densely packed, endless and never-ending.

The land I walked on turned pitch black, and everything disappeared. When I waded through the river, the clear water became extremely turbid, dark green in color, with bubbles rolling around, and white gas rising with a disgusting and unpleasant smell. When I crossed the mountain, the vegetation disappeared, leaving only stones.

Countless races were wailing and screaming. There were brave ones who rushed towards the undead with sharp blades in hand. Their flesh and blood were corroded and melted, turning into wreckage, and their souls dissipated. But the wreckage stood up again, staggering and joining the undead army. The scattered souls condensed under the dark clouds, emitting shrill screams.

The sound stopped abruptly, the illusion shattered like bubbles, the surrounding mist dissipated, and the main building hall became clear again. Li Ziyu, Liu Xingxing, and Mou Mou woke up instantly and took a deep breath.

Mumu looked at Tastuling and saw that he was about to fall down. He quickly reached out to support him, "Tastuling, are you okay?"

Tastuling's breathing was rapid, his face pale, and he shook his head slightly, saying weakly, "It's okay, just a little exhausted."

Li Ziyu looked over with an apologetic look in his eyes. He didn't expect that just by asking a question to the dead, Tastuling would become exhausted.

"I'm sorry, my magic power is limited and I can't hold on any longer." Tasturing said to Li Ziyu sincerely.

Li Ziyu stood up and squatted next to Tasturing, patting his head. He said, "You've done very well. I'm surprised you did it. It's beyond my imagination." He was just a child. What could he have done wrong? He had tried very hard and was countless times better than those mischievous kids. So he consoled him, "You've done very well. I'm surprised you did it. It's beyond my imagination."

After hearing what Li Ziyu said, Tasturing relaxed and a smile appeared on his face.

Tastulin was under great pressure. He used his life in exchange for the Lord of the Undead's protection for the tribe. He did not understand the Lord of the Undead's character. He tried to do everything perfectly. Only by satisfying the Lord of the Undead could the tribe live a better life.

Although he inherited the advantages of both parents, he was still young and had not grown up, and the magic power in his body was insufficient. If he took his anger out on his clan members because he failed to answer the questions raised by Li Ziyu, he would become a sinner.

Fortunately, it seems that the Lord of the Undead is very satisfied.

"Mou Mou, take him to rest."

"By the way, Tusturing, there's no need to go to such lengths next time. Just answer my questions."

Li Ziyu gave an order and then reminded Tasturing.

Mou Mou helped Tastuling up. Tastuling nodded to Li Ziyu and left the main building with Mou Mou.

After the two minotaurs left, Liu Xingxing cheered and jumped up to Li Ziyu, saying excitedly, "Boss, was that magic just now? Awesome!"

Li Ziyu looked at this heartless guy, the corner of his mouth twitching, "Isn't your focus a little off? Am I looking for him just to hear his story?"

"Um... Boss, I was wrong." Liu Xingxing admitted his mistake without hesitation.

Ignoring this guy, he walked back to the big bone chair and sat down, thinking about the story that had just happened.

If the orcs' impression of the undead is the same as in the story, then everything can be explained. But for a terrifying race whose appearance means death, I'm afraid no race would not panic, right?
