Chapter 157 Same Person, Different Explanations

Chuyue stretched out her arms, letting her aunt hug her.

Jiang Lan wasn't familiar with Mu Yi'an's three children, and she hadn't taken care of them much.

The two older ones are fine; they can tell them apart. Jiang Qi is the eldest aunt, and Jiang Lan is the youngest aunt.

Chuyue was still young, and she only knew one aunt.

Jiang Qi picked up the little girl, told her parents, and then left with her second brother and sister-in-law.

"Auntie, put me down, I can walk by myself, I'm heavy."

“Our Chuyue isn’t heavy at all, she’s the cutest, you can ask the brothers if you don’t believe me.”

"It's not heavy. Chuyue is the cutest."

Shao Ming repeated his aunt's words, which made the little girl giggle.

"My sister is the best. She'll fight bad guys with my second brother in the future."

Shao Yun now talks about martial arts all the time, dreaming of becoming a great general someday.

In the courtyard of the old house, everyone heard what Jiang Qi and the three children were saying. They had a really good relationship, and everyone could tell from their voices.

At home, Sister Li had tidied everything up and even made some late-night snacks, just in case they didn't eat well at the old house.

"Sister Li, I'm actually a little hungry."

"Me too. Those aunties and grandmas kept talking to me, but I didn't know what to say. It felt like I barely ate any food."

Jiang Qi and her sister-in-law exchanged a smile, feeling quite uncomfortable with the flattery.

The children digested quickly, and when they saw food, they felt hungry again.

As a result, everyone enjoyed a delicious late-night snack and then digested their food together in the yard.

Having not lived here for a long time, Mu Yi'an and Jiang Shuyun lay on the bed, filled with emotion.

"Yi'an, it's been two whole years since we came here. Time really flies."

"Yes, many memories from the past are slowly fading away. Unless you touch that spot, you can't remember them."

Jiang Shuyun, sometimes when I think back, I suddenly can't remember what my parents look like.

Whenever I think of my parents, their faces automatically come to mind.

Mu Yi'an sometimes wonders if she has become too heartless, that she has actually forgotten her parents who gave her life and raised her.

"Same here, me too. I don't spend much time with my parents to begin with, and we have very few shared memories."

Now, new memories are covering up the old ones, making them increasingly blurry.

The couple held each other's hands tightly; they were the only ones who could testify to each other's past!
