Chapter 79 Spring Farming Plan

"Mother, I'm home from school."

Shao Ming pushed the door open and came in. He can now go to and from school by himself, and he has company with his cousin's grandson next door.

"Shao Ming is back. He washed his hands and got ready to eat. His mother made dumplings."

Mu Yi'an came out of the kitchen and saw the little child, dressed neatly and cleanly, who was quite adorable.

"Okay, Mom, I'll be right there."

Shao Ming's tone was filled with joy; he loved eating the dumplings his mother made.

Shao Ming is back, and Mu Yi'an starts cooking dumplings.

"Shuyun, the dumplings are ready. Take a plate to your parents. This is the first batch of chives in spring. Let them taste it."

"Okay, I'll be right there."

Jiang Shuyun asked Shao Ming to watch over her younger sister while she took the books into the study. Then she came out, picked up the basket that Yi An handed her, and headed towards the Jiang family's old house.

"Shuyun, are we going to your parents' house?"

"Uncle, I'm going to take some dumplings to my parents."

"You two are so filial. Make something nice and send it over to your parents."

Wang Zhongshi was Jiang Shuyun's cousin and lived next door. Ever since his family moved in, Jiang Shuyun or Jiang Qi were often seen carrying baskets to deliver food to the Jiang family's old house.

Jiang Shuyun exchanged a few words with her cousin before taking her leave and heading to the Jiang family's old residence.

"Sigh, these two children are so filial."

Wang Zhongshi muttered something to himself, then slowly turned and went home.

Jiang Shuyun carried the basket to the Jiang family's old house. In the courtyard, his mother was watching his sister-in-law packing food, which would be delivered to the school later.

"Shuyun is here. Have you eaten?"

"Mom, we haven't eaten yet. Yi'an and my younger sister made dumplings with chives, eggs, and dried shrimp. They asked me to bring some over so you and Dad can have a taste."

Jiang Shuyun took out the plate from the basket and handed it to his mother.

"You can eat by yourselves. Whenever you cook something delicious, you should bring it to us."

Jiang's mother was happy. How could she not be happy when her son and daughter-in-law were so filial?

"Isn't this what we should do? It's our duty as children to be filial to our parents."

After Jiang Shuyun finished speaking with his mother with a smile, he planned to go back home, as his family was waiting for him to have dinner.

Jiang's mother didn't keep him any longer, telling him to go back and eat quickly. She set aside some dumplings from a plate, intending to take the rest to the school later, as Shuheng's father loved dumplings, especially those with chive filling.
