Side Story (5): Bao Zheng in the Dali Dynasty

After several years, Shao Ke was promoted in the Dali Temple and was no longer a low-ranking official with no say.

His official career is going smoothly, but his marriage is not so smooth.

Shao Ke was completely absorbed in various cases and didn't care about getting married at all.

At twenty-five years old and still unmarried, Mu Yi'an wasn't in a hurry, but everyone around her was anxious.

Later, it was Shao Ming's wife who helped to arrange a good marriage.

The woman was the daughter of the head of the Imperial Medical Academy. She had loved medicine since childhood and had learned a great deal of skills.

This matter was spread by the half-sister in the family, which made the marriage less than smooth.

In prominent families in the capital, everyone felt that a woman like this was not fit to be the matriarch of a household.

Later, Shao Ke heard about it and asked his sister-in-law to find out. If the other party had not done anything wrong and was only learning medicine, he would not mind.

Shao Ke is twenty-five years old. Others his age already have children who are several years old.

He knew that not getting married was not an option.

After making various inquiries, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Jiang family felt that this girl and her younger brother-in-law were a match made in heaven.

The two were arranged to meet. The woman was eighteen years old and of marriageable age.

Although the two had only a brief encounter, they found that they shared the same ideas, and thus decided to get married.

After getting married, the two got along well.

When Shao Ke encountered medical issues while handling cases, he often consulted his wife.

Although the couple may not be deeply in love, they treat each other with respect and consult each other on matters.

Shao Ke respects his wife enough, and there's no messy stuff going on at home. He has neither the time nor the interest to deal with it.

Shao Ke and his wife had two sons and a daughter. He devoted most of his life to solving cases.

Because I love it, I do it to the extreme.

Shao Ke served in the Court of Judicial Review his entire life, eventually rising to the position of Minister of the Court of Judicial Review.

Based on his experience in handling cases, he wrote many books about solving crimes, which have been passed down through the ages.

Bao Zheng, the upright official of the Dali Dynasty, is the greatest praise he has received from later generations.
