14. Do you mind smelling flowers?
Lin Zhengze didn't reply to her message until after three in the morning, saying that they would have breakfast together in the morning. Wen Hua had already fallen asleep and didn't see it, so she was still in a daze when Lin Zhengze called.
"Hasn't he woken up yet?" Lin Zhengze asked.
"Hmm..." and still want to sleep.
"Come down for breakfast. Which floor do you live on?" Lin Zhengze asked.
"Twelfth Floor"
"Get up and pack up. I'm in 1802, come up," he said and hung up the phone. But he was afraid that she had forgotten, so he sent her the room number.
Wen Hua washed up casually and didn't bother to put on makeup, so she just went upstairs.
The suite is great, and the view from the top floor is really beautiful. Wenhua stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window looking at the scenery of Shanghai. Every inch of land was filled with the scent of money.
Lin Zhengze was wearing a white T-shirt with a khaki cardigan on the outside, which made him look very gentle, not as fierce as yesterday.
"Hey, you got up early enough," Wen Hua said embarrassedly.
"Come and eat. You don't have to work today?" Lin Zhengze asked as he set the tableware for her.
"I'm revising the manuscript in the hotel today. It's quite relaxing. I'll go back tomorrow morning." She took a bite of the muffin and it was very delicious.
"I'm sorry about that day, I..." Wenhua explained.
Someone knocked on the door and she breathed a sigh of relief. She was just wondering how to put it. The person who came was an employee of the event organizer. He told Lin Zhengze about today's schedule. Lin Zhengze invited them in. Wen Hua had a mouthful of pancakes and had no time to say hello, so she could only smile.
They were sitting in the living room talking about something. Lin Zhengze came over to take his coffee, patted her on the head twice, and said like coaxing a puppy, "You eat first, I'll be busy for a while."
A few minutes later, someone knocked on the door again. Lin Zhengze shouted at her from a distance to open the door. Wen Hua ran over and saw a beautiful girl standing at the door with a bunch of clothes in her hands. She was also stunned when she saw her, and then politely asked if Lin Zhengze was there.
Wen Hua invited her in. She was there to deliver clothes to Lin Zhengze as there was a cocktail party in the evening.
Half an hour later, the others said goodbye, and Lin Zhengze sat motionless on the sofa. Wen Hua brought his breakfast over and sat next to him to let him eat.
"You," Lin Zhengze gave her a slap. Wen Hua looked at him with a frown. He smiled and started to eat breakfast.
It's good that you smiled, you shouldn't be angry anymore. Wen Hua curled up her legs and sat on the sofa playing with her phone. After breakfast, Lin Zhengze went to change his clothes. When he came out, he was dressed in a suit and looked very respectable. Wen Hua praised him for being handsome, and Lin Zhengze raised his eyebrows and came over to sit down.
"I have a meeting soon. Would you like to have lunch together?"
"Okay!" Wen Hua said.
Before Lin Zhengze left, he left the room card with her and asked her to wait for him here. Wen Hua rarely visited the suite, so she ran downstairs to put on some makeup, changed into a skirt, and came up with her computer, rolling around on his extra-large bed, thinking about revising the manuscript. When Lin Zhengze came back, she had already fallen asleep.
He had a meeting at three o'clock, so he had to wake her up and take her to the rooftop restaurant for dinner. The food was not necessarily delicious, but the scenery was indeed beautiful. After dinner, the two were about to go back to the room and met the beautiful woman from the morning again.
"Zhengze, can we go to the cocktail party together tonight?"
Wen Hua wisely left first and waited outside the restaurant. He came back soon and took her arm as they walked back.
After returning to the room, Lin Zhengze said he wanted to take a nap. Wen Hua was full and couldn't sleep, so she let him lie on her lap and rest.
"What do you do at night?" Lin Zhengze asked with his eyes closed.
"Well... let's go see Shanghai at night?" she said.
"Come with me to the cocktail party," he said.
"Well... I don't have any suitable clothes...", she said.
"I'll buy it for you," Lin Zhengze countered.
"I... I don't really want to go. I'm not used to that kind of occasion. It's pointless for me to go if you guys are talking about serious business..." she said, and she meant it.
Lin Zhengze no longer insisted and asked her to call him at 2:30, and Wen Hua agreed.
When the time came, she woke up Lin Zhengze. Someone knocked on the door to remind him of the meeting time. Lin Zhengze sent the person away and turned back to get dressed. Wen Hua thought that he would be busy from now on and had finished the work at hand, so he might as well go out for a walk. So she packed up her things and prepared to leave.
The two took the elevator down and she went back to her room. The conference center was on the fifth floor, so she had to get off the elevator first. When they reached the twelfth floor, Wen Hua said goodbye to him with a smile and walked out of the elevator. Lin Zhengze called her.
"I'm going to a cocktail party with another woman tonight, Wenhua, do you mind?" Lin Zhengze looked at her straight, as if he wanted to see through her. Wenhua was startled for some reason and was about to answer when the elevator door closed.
