Chapter 505 Repentance: The Tragedy of Death

505 Repentance for the Tragedy of Death

The shockwave from the explosion shook the surrounding air, like a small storm, but outside the main hall, all was quiet, and the sound of dripping water could be heard.

The monks patrolling in the distance seemed oblivious to everything, continuing their routine patrol.

The blood energy permeating the Buddha was instantly absorbed by the vortex, transforming into a dragon sucking water, and was quickly swallowed by the Emperor Buddha's Tears. The red raindrop shapes on the Emperor Buddha's Tears were now even more intense and dripping.

Beneath the earth, a terrifying behemoth suddenly opened its scarlet eyes, sensing the surrounding life force with a restless energy. However, a powerful force suppressed it, making it extremely uncomfortable, and it wanted to break free.

The blood mist was slowly absorbed and devoured, as ferocious and terrifying as a demon from hell.

Outside the Temple of Repentance, the elegant young master Cai, preparing to knock on the temple gate at night with his sword, was met by a monk pushing open the temple door.

Slowly, after standing still for a moment, the ghostly figure, as slender as a willow branch, smiled wickedly, holding a sword in his hand, the blade cold and menacing, his aura overwhelming the surroundings, causing the trees and flowers to prostrate themselves in submission.

The figure appeared exceptionally cold and desolate in the dim moonlight, the chilling, deadly sword in his hand, its sharp edge radiating a powerful aura, poised to strike.

Suddenly, a magnificent sword aura, carrying a strange red hue, swept across the sky and rushed straight towards the gate of the Repentance Temple.

The sword energy drew ever closer, tearing through the heavens and earth, shattering the void. The surrounding air rumbled loudly, clearly audible even ten miles away. In the Repentance Temple, the sleeping novice monk was suddenly awakened.

The magnificent sword energy, mixed with an eerie red color, seemed to be stained with blood, both alluring and terrifying.

With an unstoppable force, a magnificent golden light burst forth with a deafening roar, striking the massive sword energy directly and colliding violently.

A deafening roar, its penetrating force instantly reaching the backyard, left the three sitting there completely bewildered, as if they had never heard or seen anything before, seemingly passing away peacefully.

The powerful impact scattered in all directions, sword energy flew everywhere, light shone brightly, sand and stones flew, and trees broke.

An invisible force surged forth, and the young monks quickly rose and retreated to the back. Wu Neng and Wu Song, dressed in monks' robes, came forward carrying staffs, their eyes solemn.

Amidst the light and shadow, a figure slowly strode forward, carrying a massive black staff on his back. Golden energy shone brilliantly around him, suppressing all evil forces. Like a thunderous boom, it intimidated demons. With a low shout, he uttered, "Who dares to invade?"

Wu Neng and Wu Song greeted Abbot Yin in hushed tones.

Young Master Cai remained calm and composed, then said sternly, "I am a direct disciple of the Xuanji Sect. The entire Qi Kingdom is known from east to west, and your territory falls under the jurisdiction of my Xuanji Sect. You must hand over 70% of all your produce. Otherwise, you will bear the consequences."

The golden aura surrounding the abbot slowly concealed itself, and he said in a deep voice, 'I find your aura repulsive; get out.'

Showing no mercy, but out of respect for the Xuanji Sect and because of the magnificent sword energy just now, Abbot Yin did not forcefully detain him.

The matter of the Xuanji Sect has already caused quite a stir, but as long as the area around the Repentance Temple is not disturbed, there will be no forceful interference.

Young Master Cai gave a wicked smile, a hint of coldness flashing across his face. His eyes gleamed with a sharp light, a touch of eeriness in them. His voice was like a gentle breeze, exuding confidence and arrogance, as sharp and resolute as the sword in his hand.

He said softly, "I came representing the Xuanji Sect. To leave so easily would be to invite contempt from the Xuanji Sect."

Sect Leader Yin uttered a Buddhist chant in a low voice, and the long staff was already in his hand. Qi flowed through the staff, and golden aura constantly appeared. His eyes did not conceal his killing intent at all.

He hissed, "A repulsive stench. Whether you're real or fake, leave tonight, or none will be spared."

Young Master Cai smiled slightly, opened his mouth as if to speak, and then launched into another provocation.

The thick, black staff, seemingly infused with cold iron and iron essence, was incredibly heavy, yet it instantly produced an incomparably beautiful staff shadow, like golden flowers blooming, one or two at a time, which then transformed into thousands upon thousands of golden flowers, as beautiful as golden lotuses blooming in an instant.

In an instant, Young Master Cai felt an immense crisis descend upon him, as a blow to his head felt like Mount Tai pressing down on him.

The golden staff shadows seemed to completely seal off the surrounding space, leaving no escape. A crushing force seemed to be pressing down from all sides.

Even as he faced death, Young Master Cai smiled serenely, showing no fear whatsoever, as if he were simply going to his death.

His entire body suddenly erupted, transforming into a sword light, within which a strange red light pierced through his body. The two lights met at his forehead, and the sword energy surged and churned like swirling clouds.

The surging sword energy rose like a tide, layer upon layer, its momentum reaching the sky. In an instant, it suddenly soared into the air, its body visibly thinning. The longsword condensed into a single point, and with a flourish, it was as dazzling as a silver dragon, directly attacking the deadly blow coming straight at its head.

Without the slightest attempt to dodge, the sharp sword energy tore through the air, accompanied by continuous booming sounds.

The staff's shadow merged into one, without the slightest change in color, and struck down with incredible speed and power, roaring as it came.

With a deafening roar, a dazzling light pierced through his chest as a thick, bowl-sized club struck him on the head.

It shattered instantly, and bright red juice splattered everywhere.

The sword pierced through his body, its energy surging and wreaking havoc, instantly shredding his internal organs into pieces.

He spewed bright red blood from his mouth, held a stick to the ground, chanted Buddhist prayers softly, and stood still in place, motionless.

"Host, host!" came the urgent, worried voice. Wu Neng and Wu Song looked anxious, but were too afraid to move.

He quickly approached within three steps and saw that the abbot was already lifeless. A wave of pain washed over him, as if the sky had fallen, and his eyes were filled with grief and indignation.

"Host, host Yin!" came a heart-wrenching cry.

A wailing sound pierced the sky, and heart-wrenching cries echoed in the air. It was as if the cries were being forcibly torn from the depths of one's heart.

The monks around him seemed to be his own, and an invisible sorrow and pain seemed to materialize. Everything seemed to be immersed in this sorrow, and even the wind carried a desolate air.

"Senior brother, senior brother," Wusong whispered, "what should we do now? Should we go to the backyard?"

Wu Neng's excruciating pain showed no signs of abating. With the abbot absent and the Xuanji Sect pressing him aggressively, this matter was no longer something he could resolve on his own.

He nodded hesitantly, then said softly with resentment, "First, settle the abbot's uncle's affairs, and also take care of the Xuanji Sect's corpses. I'll finish this when I get out."

Inside the main hall, the Buddha remained silent, as if nothing had ever changed. As for the vanished Master Jin, nothing was left behind, not even a trace.

In Shangtang County, the Luo family head, Lei Feng, acted swiftly and decisively, abandoning the previous policy of alliances and cooperation, and launched a large-scale unification of Shangtang County. Opponents were sent to spiritual lands to cultivate peacefully.

Miss Luo is even more beautiful now, and her cultivation is progressing by leaps and bounds, far surpassing her former self, and she may even surpass the head of the Luo family.

Throughout Shangtang County, families of all sizes offered their full support to the Luo family, as if the Luo family had been divinely aided in an instant.
