55. Greedy people
"Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir." The man immediately expressed his gratitude.
You drank the rest of the water.
"Yes, sir." The handsome young man immediately gave the water to the other sheep.
In an instant, nine people appeared on the ground, mostly women, including several young girls who were quite beautiful, and a child who was also outstanding in appearance!
Two young men. The other one had almond-shaped eyes, upturned lips, and a fair complexion.
After the transformation from sheep was lifted, no one dared to approach, and they stood still to observe! Seeing that everyone had transformed from sheep into humans, they were secretly amazed, 'These three thousand unorthodox methods truly each have their own unique characteristics!'
They approached two members of the Ten Thousand Swords Manor. Their grey uniforms were stained crimson, and they were missing limbs. However, both men remained silent, seemingly trying to forget them.
Seeing the approaching enemy who had severed his limbs, he dared not show the slightest hostility.
He cursed inwardly, "Didn't I check the almanac before leaving home?! I shouldn't have taken this mission. I was hoping to have some fun, but instead I ran into this jinx. What bad luck! It's all that shepherd's fault. When I get back, I'll have the elders come and take revenge. I'll cripple this man and burn him alive!"
But he smiled and said, "Sir, it's all a misunderstanding! We met this shepherd on the way! We always thought he was a free-range sheep herder, we never knew these two were beasts in human form! They did such a heinous thing!"
He finished speaking with great emotion, and a few tears even rolled down his cheeks. The slightly younger man next to him lowered his head slightly, his eyes downcast, unable to hide the murderous intent in his heart.
'What brings you here?' Although I was somewhat certain, I still had to ask.
"My lord, we are from Wan Jian Manor, searching for our lost disciple. That's why we were misled by these two shepherds. Please, my lord, have mercy! Please spare our lives. We will hand over all our valuables, and even our cultivation techniques."
Then, with a sincere expression, he continued, "Sir, the silver notes and items are in the bag on the ground. Please take them yourself. We only hope you will spare us."
There was something on the ground, made of an unknown animal hide, with a mandarin duck pattern on it. 'This isn't enough to save your life! The things are on the ground; I can take them myself. Why do I need your permission?'
"My lord, spare my life! If you are willing to spare my life, I will explain to you the flying sword control techniques of the Ten Thousand Swords Manor. And I swear, I will absolutely not cause you any trouble!"
Then, seeing He Chen remain silent, she grew anxious. She shouted loudly, "Whoever is willing to save me, I will give them all my gold, silver, and cultivation methods! I swear!" Silence fell over the surroundings.
The handsome young man with the peach blossom-like eyes overheard the conversation, and a glint of light flashed in his eyes.
He stepped forward, clasped his hands in a fist and said, "My lord, thank you for sparing my life. I am a servant of Madam Huang's household. This lord now has all four limbs severed and is certainly no longer a threat. My lord, please be magnanimous and spare their lives."
The rest of the people remained silent.
"Since you want this gold and silver treasure, as well as the cultivation method, the items are in the bag. Take them yourself." He Chen looked at this person and realized he didn't seem like a servant. He was dressed in silk clothes and wore exquisite animal skin shoes.
"Thank you very much, sir. Thank you very much, sir. My Huang family will certainly repay you handsomely when we return." This man must have been blinded by greed, greed for treasure, or bewitched by some spiritual practice!
He hurried to the package, reached out and opened it, feeling around inside. The man on the ground watched as he opened the package, a flash of disappointment crossing his eyes.
He touched something that looked like a book, and his face immediately lit up with joy. He picked it up and looked at it! "Ten Thousand Swords Heart Sutra"—four big characters—and his mouth immediately curled into a happy smile.
I just opened it and saw, 'Ah, my hand!' My hand had turned as black as ink.
'My hand!' Moreover, the blackness seemed to move on its own, rapidly spreading throughout my body.
"Ah, help! Sir, help me!" He rolled on the ground, screaming in agony.
Finally, he breathed his last!
'What a powerful technique! It's deadly at first glance!' He Chen stared at the person on the ground.
The man who had just spoken on the ground said with a forced smile, "Sir, we are inner disciples of the Ten Thousand Swords Manor. If you release us, we will repay you handsomely. But if you kill us, the Ten Thousand Swords Manor will seek revenge. Then you'll be in trouble."
The other man on the ground said viciously, "You'd better release me right now, or my master will surely chop you to pieces when he gets here."
The words had barely left his lips when, suddenly, a flash of light appeared. A single, swift stroke severed two heads, which rolled away. Blood splattered!
"Ah!" The others couldn't help but scream in unison.
He turned around and saw nine sheep. Murder to silence them? Not quite. The Ten Thousand Swords Manor would have to be visited sooner or later.
After rummaging through their belongings, I found they had no less than ten thousand taels of silver and silver notes. They were indeed wealthy. Seeing this made me want to visit Wan Jian Manor right now.
"Sir, we are all from the surrounding county. Thank you for saving our lives. We promise we will never tell anyone. We swear! If we break this oath, may we be struck by lightning!"
"Yes, sir, we promise we won't tell anyone. Thank you for saving our lives."
"Okay, I believe you, but what about the people on the ground?" He Chen asked.
Without hesitation, the first young man picked up the precious knife from the ground and walked towards the shepherd, step by step.
It was as if death itself had arrived, as if Yama, the King of Hell, was demanding a life! "My lord, spare my life! You promised not to kill me!" the shepherd on the ground cried out, desperately backing away.
"Where did all the sheep we herded go?" He Chen asked casually.
"My lord, the sheep we had before were all taken away by the wolf demon, but I don't know exactly where! My lord, please help!"
"Ah!" The young man didn't know how to use the knife, and his first cut didn't go too deep. The shepherd was in excruciating pain.
The young man then raised the knife high again and slashed it through the chest. A mournful cry rang out!
But he didn't have enough strength to cut it in one stroke. Then, as if it had gone mad, a rushing sound arose, like rain.
She was covered in blood, blood dripping from her face and hands. Then, fighting back vomiting, she came to my side. 'Sir, this way no one will tell on us.'
"Haha, not bad. I am He Chen, a police officer from Huangtu County. If anyone asks, just tell them." Then, pointing to a road, he said...
"This road leads to Huangtu County. If you are going to Huangtu County, you can travel with me." Then he took out a set of clothes and gave them to the boy who was dressed in red.
"Thank you, sir. We're also going to Huangtu County. Thank you for your trouble!"
He led the group a short distance, but they were moving too slowly. Then he told them to wait where they were!
