After seeing Gu Nian off, Luo Shimiao put her hair up and went into the bathroom to take a shower. Standing in front of the sink, she used a makeup remover pad to wipe a certain area on her chest.
A red mark appeared on her once smooth skin; it was the work of a man yesterday.
I only remembered this after I changed into my dress tonight. I was in a rush and didn't have time to choose another dress, so I asked the salesperson in the store if I could borrow a cushion to cover up.
After taking a bath, I filled Little Green's food rations and then turned off the lights to go to sleep.
The next day, before the alarm clock went off, Xiao Lü's voice rang out.
Xiao Lü stood beside Luo Shimiao and whispered, "Get up, get up, the sun's already high in the sky."
Seeing that Luo Shimiao didn't react, he raised his voice and added her name: "Luo Shimiao, get up, get up!"
"Hmm?" The girl on the bed opened her eyes in a daze and murmured, "It's already dawn?" But she was so sleepy.
I sat up and leaned against the headboard for a while, then got out of bed, walked to the window, and opened the curtains.
"Whoosh..." The moment the curtains were pulled open, Luo Shimiao's face darkened, becoming as dark as the sky outside.
Luo Shimiao turned around and stared at it intently, gritting her teeth as she said, "Little Green!"
Seeing this, Little Green quickly darted under another pillow.
Luo Shimiao drew the curtains again, walked to the bedside, picked up her phone, and saw that it was only a little past four in the morning!
I lay back down on the bed and went back to sleep.
The room returned to silence. After a long while, a small head peeked out from under the pillow, its tiny eyes darting around.
"Ring ring, ring ring."
At exactly nine o'clock in the morning, the alarm clock rang on time.
Luo Shimiao turned off the alarm clock and saw Xiao Lü sleeping soundly on the pillow. A mischievous smile appeared on his lips. He pressed his middle finger against his thumb and flicked it at its bare bottom.
"Ouch~~" Little Green was awakened by the pain, covered its bottom with its wings, and stared at the culprit with its big green bean eyes.
"Hmph!" Luo Shimiao rolled out of bed to wash up, 'Serves you right for yelling like that.'
After washing up, Luo Shimiao saw unread messages on WeChat. She opened WeChat and saw two unread messages displayed on the cute profile picture. Her red lips curled up slightly.
Lan Xinyue: "Goddess Miaomiao, my flight is at nine o'clock. You're probably still sleeping, so I won't go up and bother you."
Lan Xinyue: "See you in Kyoto, mwah~"
"Okay, all right." After replying to Lan Xinyue, he put down his phone and started packing his luggage.
I took all the clothes out of the closet and put them on the bed. I opened my suitcase and had just folded two pieces when there was a knock on the door.
"Miaomiao, are you up?"
Hearing that familiar and pleasant voice, Luo Shimiao put down the clothes in her hand and went to open the door excitedly: "Handsome boy, good morning."
Seeing the girl's energetic appearance, I couldn't help but smile and pinch her cheek: "Come and have breakfast."
"Okay."
She hadn't even stepped out the door when the man pushed her back inside.
Luo Shimiao looked at him in confusion. Didn't he ask her to go out for breakfast? Why wouldn't he let her go out?
The man said, "Change your clothes first."
"Oh, oh." She completely forgot that she was still wearing a black silk slip dress.
She walked to the bedside and picked out a black fitted dress from the pile of clothes.
After changing, it ran towards the dining table, followed by a strange bird with feathers only on its head and neck.
A sumptuous breakfast was laid out on the table.
Luo Shimiao exclaimed, "Gu Nian, your cooking skills have improved to this level?"
Gu Nian poured her a glass of milk: "Takeout."
"Oh, but your cooking skills are about the same as this now. Every dish makes people want to eat more."
He smiled indulgently at the girl flattering him.
Little Green clung to Luo Shimiao's skirt, struggling to climb upwards. Over the past few days, its climbing skills had become incredibly refined.
"Huh, isn't Third Brother coming over for breakfast?" Luo Shimiao looked towards Gu Nian's room with a puzzled expression.
Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
Luo Jianxing, with his messy hair, walked over in his koi-shaped slippers, pulled out a chair, sat down, and stuffed a sandwich into his mouth.
Luo Shimiao turned to the little green bird that had just climbed onto her shoulder and said, "Hey, do you think its head would be suitable as a bird's nest?"
Little Green: "The handsome guy is unhappy."
Seeing his dejected state, Luo Shimiao nudged Gu Nian with her elbow: "Did you bully him?"
Gu Nian slowly shook his head.
"Third Brother, what's wrong?"
Luo Jian swallowed the sandwich in his mouth and said, "I couldn't sleep last night."
"Oh, even our Third Young Master has a day when he can't sleep?" Luo Shimiao said with a look of surprise, his gossip-loving fire burning brightly.
I pulled a chair over and sat next to him: "What are you thinking about that keeps you awake?"
Luo Jianxing looked up at his gossipy younger sister and sighed, "It's just a blind date arranged by Mom."
“If I go back today, she might force me to go on a blind date tomorrow.” Luo Jianxing’s eyes darted around, and a fawning smile appeared on his face as he put down his sandwich: “Little sister, why don’t you go and talk to Mom and ask her not to arrange any more blind dates for me?”
While chewing his food, Luo Shimiao said, "I can't help you. I want to live for a couple more years. I can say a few words about Dad, but you know who's in charge in our family."
"Sigh..." Luo Jianxing's sigh was longer than a train's.
"bite"
Wang Bin walked out of the elevator with a document bag in one hand and a suitcase in the other.
"Brother Wang Bin is here. Have you had breakfast? Would you like to have some with me?" Luo Shimiao said, standing up and going to the kitchen to get him a bowl and chopsticks.
"Thank you, no need, I've already eaten. I'll just put my things down and leave. I still have work to do later."
