Chapter 173 Getting on the Bus

Luo Shimiao smiled and said, "It's possible, but you have to listen to me."

"Okay, okay, I'll do whatever you say," Gu Nian said eagerly.

He couldn't wait any longer!

The room fell silent, and this silence lasted for a few minutes.

"Miaomiao." Gu Nian's tone was tinged with grievance as he looked at her with puppy-dog eyes.

Luo Shimiao snapped out of her daze and her heart softened completely when she saw his eyes: "I'm sorry, I was just reviewing the movie from that day in my mind."

"Coming, coming." He pulled the blanket over them.

Not long after, the blanket was suddenly yanked off, and a slender figure jumped off the bed, muttering, "The door wasn't locked. I almost forgot the most important thing."

It would be awkward if someone barged in during a particularly exciting moment.

"…………………………"

Gu Nian lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Why was he being tortured like this? He sighed softly, "My life is so miserable!"

"All done, no need to worry now." Luo Shimiao turned down the air conditioner temperature, turned off the room lights, and climbed into bed.

They were like two little kids, huddled around a mysterious jar of jam, tasting it little by little to see how sweet it was.

About half an hour later.

Luo Shimiao's teary eyes were filled with dissatisfaction. That scheming, brooding man—she'd never trust him again! Waaaaah!

She kept cursing the man in her mind, but she stopped after a while because she couldn't come up with a complete sentence to curse him.

By the moonlight that sneaked in through the window, I could vaguely see... oh, I couldn't see anything, only a thick layer of mosaic.

The next room.

After taking a shower, Luo Jianxing, wearing a light nightgown, lay obediently on the bed, filled with anticipation.

But he waited for a long time, and the person he was waiting for never came.

A hint of disappointment appeared in her beautiful eyes: "She's probably already asleep."

After waiting a few more minutes, there was still no movement at the door.

Looking at the wall clock, it was 1:18 a.m.

"Sigh!" With a heavy sigh, I had no choice but to turn off the lights and go to sleep.

I tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep, and sat up restlessly against the headboard.

With a "snap!" sound, the room was bright again.

Luo Jianxing got out of bed, walked to the wine rack, picked up a wine glass, washed it, and opened a bottle of red wine. The bright red liquid was held in a crystal-clear wine glass.

After taking a sip, he would take the whole bottle to the living room and use the alcohol to help him sleep when he couldn't fall asleep.

Luo Jianxing leaned back on the sofa, his eyes unfocused.

After having two drinks, a surprised female voice sounded behind me.

"Why aren't you asleep yet?" The voice belonged to Li Man, who had come out to get a drink of water because she was thirsty.

"Man'er?" Luo Jianxing turned around and looked at the tall, graceful figure not far behind him.

Because of the alcohol, his face had a faint pinkish tinge.

Li Man's heart raced a little, and she lifted her leg to walk towards him.

"Can't sleep either?" Luo Jianxing picked up his wine glass and poured wine into it.

"Yeah, I'm so thirsty I can't sleep."

Luo Jianxing paused, a mischievous smile playing on his lips: "Is it the thirst of hunger, or the thirst of thirst?"

"???" Surprise flashed in Li Man's eyes. Was it because of the alcohol? Her words were much bolder than usual. She bent down to look him in the eye: "Which one do you prefer?"
