Chapter 258 Even the 'dead' were scared back to life by Luo Shimiao

I picked up my phone, which was lying to the side, to order takeout; my fingers were trembling slightly from hunger.

What a scoundrel! All he does is bully her.

"Good morning~" A deep, slightly hoarse male voice came from behind.

Luo Shimiao turned around and looked at the man who exuded a lazy aura, his messy hair casually falling on his forehead.

Her peach blossom eyes were half-open, and the hazy look in them clearly indicated that she was not yet fully awake.

Beneath her high, straight nose, her thin lips curved in a captivating way.

She thought to herself, "What a male enchantress, seducing someone so early in the morning!"

"If you haven't slept enough, then keep sleeping. When you've had enough, get up and clean the room. Look at the mess you've made! Anyone who doesn't know better would think the room has been the site of a major battle."

Gu Nian quickly rolled out of bed: "Received."

The man was in a great mood after his task was completed, and a faint smile remained on his face throughout the entire process of tidying up the room.

Fearing that Gu Nian might make the assistant uncomfortable while eating, Luo Shimiao ordered two breakfasts.

Lin Mai had just stepped out the door to wake up her boss and go downstairs to buy breakfast when she turned around and saw her boss walking over with breakfast in hand.

"Good morning." Luo Shimiao placed the breakfast in her hands.

Lin Mai lowered her head in embarrassment: "I'm such a terrible assistant."

"You're fine, don't overthink it. I just got up too early." Luo Shimiao patted her shoulder. "Eat it while it's hot." Then she turned and went back to her room.

After breakfast, we headed to the film studio.

Wearing a fluffy coat, Luo Shimiao entered the dressing room with her assistant.

………………

On set.

In a dimly lit wooden house, a woman with a high ponytail and wearing a black bodysuit is surrounded by a group of tall, burly men.

In contrast, the woman's slender figure and delicate waist appeared utterly vulnerable in front of these burly men.

However, a hint of fear lingered deep in their eyes, and their hands, gripping the knives and clubs, trembled slightly.

A cruel smile appeared on the woman's exquisitely beautiful face. She swayed, and people fell one after another.

The last two men came to their senses, gritted their teeth, and swung their weapons at the tall figure.

"Bang!"

A square table was smashed to pieces by the man who landed heavily on it.

Another man barely managed to withstand two moves from the woman before being kicked to the floor.

The woman walked slowly toward him with a cold face, her eyes devoid of any warmth.

Her long leg lifted up and aimed mercilessly at his neck.

Despite the excruciating pain in his abdomen, the man quickly rolled to the side, escaping the fatal blow.

"Snap!"

The wooden floor beneath the boots made a crisp sound.

The "corpse" lying less than a meter away was so frightened that it came back to life.

That was the sound of breaking, and also the sound of the prop master's heart breaking.

Seeing that the director did not call "cut," the woman stood still and raised her hand, her fingertips holding a sharp blade.

A streak of silver flashed through the air, slicing precisely across the man's neck.

The man kicked his legs and died.

The woman pulled her foot out from under the floorboards, walked straight to the door, and kicked open the wooden door.

Her beautiful face was revealed in the moonlight, as serene and cool as the moon hanging high on the branches.

Director Jiang: "Cut!"

He praised without reservation: "Shi Miao, your acting was superb and so natural. The feeling of taking one take in one continuous shot was just so satisfying!"

Luo Shimiao's frosty face blossomed into a smile, and she scurried over to the monitor to watch the playback with Director Jiang.

"Should we reshoot the scene where the foot gets stuck here?" This wasn't in the script; it was purely accidental.

“No need, this take is good,” Jiang Cheng frowned when he saw the extra playing the corpse. He looked up at the extra and said, “Hey bro, you’re already dead. We’re not filming a horror movie. Why are you opening your eyes?”

The extra lowered his head and said, "I'm sorry, director," adding in his mind, "You'll understand once you experience it yourself."

"Luckily, it's not a big problem. We can fix it in post-production," Jiang Cheng said, looking at the silver blade on the screen. "How did you do that? We were originally planning to do special effects for this part."

Luo Shimiao took out a spare razor blade from his pocket, held it between two fingers, and sealed the sharp blade with transparent tape: "It's very simple, you'll naturally learn it after playing more poker."
