Luo Luo smiled and said, "That's right."
"Mua~" She kissed Luo Luo's fair cheek, freed one hand to take the money from Luo Luo's hand, and said with a smile, "Then Auntie won't be polite with you."
Luo Luo tilted her little face up and said in a soft, sweet voice, "Auntie, can I have one? Just one."
"No problem, no problem." She generously pulled out two red bills and put them in her hand: "Here's an extra one for you."
"Thank you, Auntie, happy birthday."
"You're welcome."
Looking at the two thin banknotes in the little cutie's hand, and then at the thick ones in his girlfriend's hand, Gu Nian said with a heavy heart, "Miao Miao, why don't you give Luo Luo a little more? She's been collecting them for quite a while."
“Brother Niannian, that’s enough. Mom says you can’t be too greedy.”
Luo Shimiao felt that something was off about what he was saying.
The man pinched her cheek: "Good girl."
"I need to pee, bye-bye~" Luo Luo took the money and happily skipped away.
Luo Jianxing lay on the sofa, looking at that small figure from behind, and chuckled, "Seriously, just as cunning as Miaomiao."
Luo Shimiao said with dissatisfaction, "What do you mean by being as cunning as me? Luo Luo is just sensible and well-behaved."
“You’ve all been fooled by her.” He looked at his niece, who was walking towards the elevator, and said, “Luo Luo’s money is about to fall.”
Luo Luo stopped and looked down to lift her coat to check.
His waistband was stuffed full of money, forming a high bulge.
Luo Shimiao: "..…………........"
Gu Nian: "............."
"See? Am I wrong?" Luo Jianxing said, looking at the two somewhat dazed people.
"Luo Luo!" Luo Shimiao put down the money, rolled up his sleeves, and stood up, his eyes flashing with fire.
Luo Luo quickly put down her clothes, pressed the elevator button, and ran into the elevator.
"Auntie, don't be so stingy."
As the elevator doors slowly closed, the exquisitely sculpted face disappeared from view.
She pointed to two buttons on the wall that were deliberately placed low and said, "I'll seal them off another day, then let's see how you'll take the elevator!"
Luo Jianxing: "People have legs, they don't necessarily have to take the elevator."
"Forget it, I won't hold it against her this time." She looked at her eldest nephew sitting at the small desk and asked, "Where are your parents?"
Luo Yan put down his pen, looked up, and said, "They ran away."
"They ran pretty fast, looks like they guessed it all along."
Gu Nian pulled down her rolled-up sleeves: "Go back to your room and put the money away first."
"Okay."
Luo Jianxing, looking down at his phone without looking up, said, "Be careful."
The two of them stopped at the same time and stood on the stairs looking down at him.
Luo Shimiao's eyes were filled with doubt: "What do you mean? You've prepared other 'surprises'?"
"You'll find out soon enough." He put away his phone and slowly stood up, a mysterious smile on his handsome face. "I'm going to pick up your third sister-in-law."
Luo Yan blinked her big eyes and asked, "Uncle, are you already married? Can I write about my third sister-in-law in my essay?"
"No! Luo Yan, let me tell you, if you dare to write that, I'll beat you until you cry!" He recalled his last essay, in which the characters he wrote were all strange and bizarre.
He lowered his head in disappointment: "Oh, but this weekend the Chinese teacher assigned an essay about family members. I've already written about everyone in my family, so I don't know who else to write about."
Luo Shimiao glanced at Gu Nian, rested her hand on the armrest, and smiled, "Auntie recommends someone to you."
Luo Yan looked up in surprise: "Who?"
He pointed his thumb behind him and said, "You didn't write about him, did you?"
He shook his head: "My future uncle hasn't written it yet."
"Then you should write about him."
“Okay,” he hesitated for a moment, then looked at the handsome man behind his aunt and said, “Uncle is so good-looking, I have to look up some nice adjectives in the dictionary to describe him.”
Gu Nian was amused by his address of "uncle" and smiled, "Write whatever you want, no need to pile up fancy words."
"Okay." Luo Yan happily buried himself in his homework.
The two continued upstairs, and Luo Shimiao was dumbfounded when she pushed open the door.
Looking up from the bottom, the gift boxes are stacked from largest to smallest, almost reaching the ceiling.
"Holy crap! Is this still my room? It's clearly a warehouse!"
Gu Nian looked at the gift, which was taller than him, reached out and pushed it, causing the gift box at the top to sway gently.
“Alo is right, we do need to be careful.”
If all the boxes in the room were to fall over, they would be buried on the spot.
"Then why are you still pushing!" Luo Shimiao turned sideways and carefully passed through the small aisle left in the middle of the gifts.
"That's too much. There's no need to send so many gifts."
The huge room was piled high with gifts, and there was almost no room to put your feet down.
She saw a note stuck on the box and looked down at the words: "Happy birthday to my dearest sister. Today is your 21st birthday. I, your sister-in-law, Xiaoyan, and Luoluo have each carefully selected 21 gifts, for a total of 84 gifts. I hope you like them."
"With so many gifts, how long am I going to open them all?!"
Gu Nian patted her head and smiled, "Don't be afraid, I'll help you take it down."
She took a few steps forward and saw another note: "Miaomiao, these are gifts prepared for you by your second brother, your sister-in-law, and Xiaoyuan. There are only 63 items. Your second brother will try to match the number of gifts next year with your eldest brother. Finally, I wish you elegance in your old age and a refined life!"
"Your second brother's obsession with elegance is ingrained in his very bones."
"He's beyond redemption. I even wonder if he'll ever come up with a wine glass toilet."
