"Open it and take a look."
Luo Luo glanced at her mother, and seeing that she didn't stop her, she carefully opened the red envelope.
“This is…” She pinched out a card with her two little fingers.
Gu Nian explained with a smile, "This is a bank card. Your red envelope is inside. The password is your birthday."
"Auntie is so envious of you," Luo Shimiao said, pointing to the bank card. "There are seven figures in it!"
"How much is a seven-digit number?"
"You'll understand when you're a little older."
She waved the card and smiled sweetly at Gu Nian: "Okay, thank you, Uncle. I wish you all the best..." She paused for a few seconds and then said, "May everything go smoothly for you, Uncle."
Gu Nian: "Thank you."
Luo Shimiao pinched her fair cheek and said affectionately, "You, you usually call me Brother Gu Nian, why did you change your address today?"
"Because 'uncle' only has two characters, which is easy to pronounce."
"Little liar."
He held Luo Luo's hands: "From now on, you can call me Uncle, okay?"
"Okay, I'll listen to my uncle."
"Good girl, let Uncle hold you." He picked up the adorable little girl in the red dress.
Luo Shimiao walked to the sofa, sat down, crossed her legs, and said to her nephew who was playing with toys not far away, "You little rascals, come here, Auntie is going to give you red envelopes."
Upon hearing this, Luo Yan and Luo Lingyuan put down their toys, ran over, and threw themselves into her arms.
"For Xiao Yan, for Xiao Yuan." She handed over the red envelope in her hand.
The two said in unison, "Thank you, Auntie."
Gu Nian, holding the little cutie, sat on the armrest of the sofa and handed out two red envelopes.
"Just like Lolo, your password is also your birthday."
"Thank you, Uncle."
Luo Luo put the red packet into a red heart-shaped bag, tugged at Gu Nian's collar, and said, "Uncle, let's go play in the garden."
"Okay, Xiao Yan, Xiao Yuan, do you want to come play together?"
“Okay,” Luo Yan replied.
Luo Lingyuan tilted his head back, his delicate face beaming with a lovely smile.
"Uncle, I also have a cute little sister this year, just like Luo Luo."
Zhou Shuyu, who was coming down the stairs, happened to hear her son's words, and a hint of helplessness flashed across her face.
“Xiao Yuan, if you keep going like this, the whole neighborhood will know your mother is pregnant in less than three days.”
"And it's still uncertain whether it's a girl or a boy. What if it turns out to be a boy?"
"It doesn't matter if it's a younger brother, I'll love any child my mother gave birth to."
"Your words are getting sweeter and sweeter." Zhou Shuyu walked down the last step, stood in front of her son, and patted his head: "Go play."
"Okay."
Gu Nian and Luo Shimiao led several children to the back garden.
Beside the fishpond.
"Auntie, I want to eat grilled fish," Luo Luo said, squatting down and pointing to a koi carp.
"This is your grandfather's treasure, you can't eat it."
"Okay." She pouted dejectedly.
"But your aunt can take you to eat now."
Luo Luo raised her head, her dark eyes shining: "Let's go, let's go."
"Whatever you want to eat or make today, your aunt will satisfy you."
Luo Lingyuan jumped up on the spot, gesturing excitedly, and said, "Auntie, I want to go to the zoo to see the gorillas."
Luo Yan: "Auntie, I want to buy a telescope, the kind where you can see the stars."
“No problem.” Luo Shimiao patted Gu Nian on the shoulder: “Honey, go get the car, we’ll wait for you at the gate.”
"Okay, wait for me a moment." He turned and left.
She picked up Luo Luo and walked towards the door: "Xiao Yan, hold your little brother's hand."
"Mmm." He took Luo Lingyuan's hand and followed behind her.
The four waited in front of the door for seven or eight minutes before a dark-colored sedan pulled up beside them.
The car window rolled down, revealing a handsome face.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, please get in the car."
Luo Shimiao opened the back door and saw that the child safety seat had already been installed.
"I was wondering why it took you so long to drive; turns out you went to get the child safety seat."
"Yes, let them know while you're at it, so they won't worry if they can't find their child."
After placing Luo Luo in the seat, she leaned forward and kissed Gu Nian on the cheek.
"You're getting more and more thoughtful, I love you."
Sitting in the passenger seat, Luo Yan covered his eyes and said, "Ew, how embarrassing."
"Don't look at what you shouldn't see." Luo Shimiao carried his little nephew, who was standing outside, into the car, placed him in the middle, and closed the car door.
"Let's go!"
The car drove away from the entrance of the residential area at a moderate speed.
The zoo was unusually lively today.
Gu Nian took out two masks from his pocket and handed one to Luo Shimiao.
"Thank you, I was thinking of buying some." Luo Shimiao took it, tore open the transparent wrapping paper, and put it on.
She took the wrapping paper from Gu Nian's hand, crumpled it up with the one in her hand, and stuffed it into Luo Luo's small bag.
Luo Luo pouted and said unhappily, "Auntie, you're so mean."
"Don't be so stingy, help your aunt pack for a while."
Gu Nian squatted down and picked her up, holding Luo Yan's hand with his right hand, while Luo Shimiao picked up Luo Lingyuan.
She looked at the ticket booth: "Let's go, let's buy tickets and go in to see the gorillas."
After buying tickets, we entered the zoo.
The two took their three children on a tour of the zoo, then bought a telescope, and finally went to eat grilled fish.
I didn't get home until 5 p.m., and when I got back to my room, I fell asleep as soon as I was tired.
This year's Spring Festival was just like any other year, the only difference being that Luo Shimiao brought Gu Nian along when visiting relatives.
......
Time flies, winter goes and spring comes.
Amidst a sea of peach blossoms, Luo Shimiao, dressed in a light green knitted cardigan over a beige slip dress, sat at a stone table pouring tea.
