Chapter 488 My First On-Screen Kiss Is Gone

"Bring your second brother along tonight, please." His dark eyes gleamed with anticipation.

Luo Shimiao's brows furrowed in disdain: "You can't even climb a tree, let alone the second floor. Give me a break."

"I'll be the one to do the bad things. You can just pray that your second sister-in-law will give birth to a lovely daughter. If Guanyin Bodhisattva finds out about your bad deeds, she might reward you with twin sons."

Luo Ruilin was startled and patted his chest, saying, "This is a big taboo! How could I forget! Be careful tonight, don't hurt him."

“I know my limits, I just wanted to teach her a lesson.” She stood up to say goodbye: “Second Brother, I’m leaving.”

He lowered his eyes and waved lazily, "Let's go."

She picked up the rogue bird that was right next to her second brother with two fingers: "It's not even dry yet, and you're already sticking it on people." She turned and walked towards the balcony.

"Miss Miaomiao, the door is this way," Tang Kuan reminded her when he saw she had gone the wrong way.

“Walking up and down stairs is a waste of time because it’s winding and circuitous. I prefer to go straight up and down.” She glanced around, saw that no one was watching, and then jumped down, supporting herself on the railing with one hand.

He stared blankly at the figure disappearing on the balcony and said, "Boss, is this really a good thing for Miss Miaomiao?"

Luo Ruilin looked helpless: "What can we do if she's not well? If she breaks her leg, we'll just have to treat it." He couldn't reason with her, he couldn't beat her, and he couldn't bear to hit her, so he could only let her be.

"Take your phone and keep an eye on Miaomiao's situation. Let me know immediately if anything happens."

"Yes." Tang Kuan picked up his phone from the bed and left the room.

Time flies.

What happened to Hao Yun last night did indeed happen.

As they were going downstairs, the director asked Luo Shimiao how she got the alarm clock.

Luo Shimiao chuckled and said, "It was given to me by the abbot. I did a good deed, so it's not too much to ask for an alarm clock as a gift, is it?"

Pan Guohua was a little incredulous: "Master Ciming would have such a cute alarm clock?"

"If you don't believe me, go ask the abbot."

The director immediately believed her after she said that. She wouldn't have said it so frankly if it weren't true.

Pan Guohua explained, "Shi Miao, it's not that I don't trust you. While you were resting, many viewers in the live stream asked questions, so I had to explain to them. I hope you can understand."

"I understand. If there's nothing else, Sister Yun and I will be leaving now."

He nodded slightly.

Nothing unexpected happened during the afternoon meditation.

After two hours of meditation, everyone went to the scripture copying hall to copy scriptures.

On the way there, Huikong thought of how Luo Shimiao had destroyed a calligraphy piece while copying scriptures ten years ago. After hesitating for a long time, she still walked to her side.

"When you are copying the scriptures later, you must calm down and control your emotions."

Luo Shimiao knew what he was worried about: "Old monk, you can rest assured, I am no longer the little girl I was ten years ago."

"Oh, by the way, I brought you something. I'll give it to you later. Are you still living in that old, run-down little place?"

Huikong raised her hand and gave her a sharp rap on the head: "You're not allowed to talk about my residence like that."

She muttered to herself, "I wasn't wrong. It's a small thatched hut with a flimsy roof. It would collapse after a couple of jumps."

"How dare you say that?" Huikong huffed as she looked at Luo Shimiao's profile.

He was usually calm and collected, but the moment he encountered this celestial monkey, his emotions flared up like a firecracker. It seems his skills aren't up to par; he needs to keep practicing!

Hao Yun's lips twitched: "You didn't make a hole in Master Huikong's roof, did you?"

Luo Shimiao's eyes flickered, and he scratched the back of his head, saying, "It was an accident, purely an accident."

As the group arrived at the entrance of the scripture copying hall, a faint scent of sandalwood wafted out as they pushed open the door.

Warm sunlight streamed through the latticed windows, casting its glow on the tables and chairs. A portrait of Guanyin Bodhisattva hung on the wall, along with a hand-drawn copy of the Heart Sutra, covering half the wall. The golden characters on the blue Xuan paper exuded a sacred aura, containing boundless power.

The four-tiered wooden bookshelf is neatly arranged with scriptures. The quiet and elegant environment allows one to calm down unconsciously.

Luo Shimiao walked to the last row and sat down, while Hao Yun chose to sit in front of her, and the other three sat in the first row.

On each table lay a sheet of off-white Xuan paper, with a paperweight at one end. To the right lay a fine brush for copying scriptures.

Seeing that everyone was seated, Huikong took six scriptures from the bookshelf and distributed them to each of them. He then took the remaining scripture and sat down next to Luo Shimiao.

Luo Shimiao looked down at the cover of the sutra, which was the same Heart Sutra on the wall behind her. She placed the Heart Sutra in the middle, opened it to the first page, and picked up a pen to begin copying it.

The hall was quiet, with only the occasional sound of turning pages. Even the comment section of the live stream was unusually peaceful.

The Heart Sutra has only 260 characters in total. Luo Shimiao copied it very quickly. When they were halfway through, she had already finished.

For the rest of the time, Little Green became her "toy" to pass the time.

Little Green stood listlessly on the table, letting her do whatever she wanted.

Luo Shimiao carefully wrote the characters for "turtle" vertically on its head with a pen. Then she drew its eyebrows, then its eyelashes, and finally painted all its nails black.

The once adorable little green chick has been transformed into a "monster" that resembles neither a chicken nor a bird.

Poor little green thing! But please weld this shape shut!

Haha, I don't want to laugh either, but it's harder to suppress my smile than an AK!

[I must say, those delicate, willow-leaf eyebrows are actually quite pretty.]

【Our Miaomiao's hands are perfect for delicate carving; she can draw such soft feathers so beautifully.】

[I hereby announce! Green will be my WeChat profile picture this month!]
