“In Kyoto, the socialites and wealthy young men all throw very grand birthday parties. If you were like them, maybe we could have met sooner.”
"Then you're the same, not as low-key as a billionaire."
The man pinched her soft, white cheek and said, "When I was little, my dad often told me to be humble in my personal life but ambitious in my work."
"If I were to host a high-profile banquet, there would only be one type of banquet that would be worth hosting."
Luo Shimiao asked, her eyes gleaming, "Which one?"
The man gazed intently at Luo Shimiao, his thin lips parting slightly: "Our engagement banquet."
Luo Shimiao felt her ears burning under his blatant gaze: "Did you secretly eat honey?"
"You'll know once you try it." He suddenly leaned forward, his lips almost touching her moist lips.
“A-Nian, your mother and grandfather…” Ye Shujun arrived at the door and happened to see this scene.
He turned his body around on the spot, placed his left hand on his temple, and said as he walked, "I'm getting old, my eyesight is failing and I can't see things clearly."
Luo Shimiao turned to look at the door and said seriously, "Make sure to close the door properly next time."
Gu Nian's deep eyes reflected his red lips, which were moving in and out. His Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he forcefully turned her head back and kissed her.
She craned her neck to look outside like a thief: "Honestly, what if my mom comes back and sees this? It'll be so embarrassing. She loves doing this kind of thing."
"I only kissed her after I was sure Mom had passed away."
Looking at the handsome man with a beaming smile, Xiao Lü said with a hint of disdain, "That 'Mom' you called out was smoother than chocolate."
"This isn't the first time you've seen his shamelessness."
Gu Nian didn't argue. She got out of bed, pushed the gifts on the floor aside, picked up her shoes, squatted down by the bed, and beckoned to her.
Luo Shimiao's brows furrowed with joy as he scooted over to the edge of the bed and put his legs down.
A large, well-defined hand gently slipped a beige chunky shoe onto his foot.
As she gazed at the man carefully putting on her shoes, a surge of love welled up within her, overwhelming her.
Good-looking people are even pleasing to the eye when they put shoes on others.
"Alright." Gu Nian clapped his hands, brushing away the dust that had fallen from the soles of his shoes.
Luo Shimiao winked playfully at him with her left eye and said with a smile, "Pout your lips."
He raised an eyebrow, guessing what she wanted to do. He placed his hands on either side of her and tilted his head back, saying, "Can I just open up? That way you won't have to pry it open."
Xiao Lü: "You fierce woman, quickly shut him up, or he'll be muteed!"
She placed her hands on Gu Nian's shoulders and leaned down to kiss his thin lips.
Just then, a small figure walked in.
Luo Luo walked briskly between the two of them: "Kiss me, I want a kiss too."
After saying that, she tiptoed, pouted her little mouth, and leaned closer.
Luo Shimiao opened his eyes and quickly covered her mouth.
"No kissing!"
Her big, round eyes wrinkled: "Mmm..."
She let go.
"Why can't we kiss?" she asked, dissatisfied.
“You can kiss me if you want,” Luo Shimiao squatted down and turned his left cheek toward her, “but not on the lips because of bacteria.”
Luo Luo's dissatisfaction turned into confusion: "Then why can you kiss?"
Gu Nian stroked her head and said, "Because we are adults and have strong immunity."
"Oh, oh." She nodded as if she understood, and pouted to kiss each of them on the cheek.
"Then I'll kiss you when I grow up."
Luo Shimiao lifted her coat, and the money she had stuffed inside was gone.
"You've made another fortune."
"Hehe." Luo Luo jumped into her arms.
The two men led her downstairs.
All eyes were on them.
Gu Nian looked at the white-haired old man and the gentle woman and said, "Grandpa, Mom."
"Grandpa Gu, Aunt Su, Aunt Xu, Uncle Yu, it's been a long time." Luo Shimiao noticed that one person was missing and looked at Gu Nian: "Aunt Su, where's Uncle Gu?"
"He's on a business trip abroad and can't make it back."
She immediately understood and laughed, "We're having fun here, won't Uncle Gu be unhappy being all alone abroad?"
Thinking of the dozens of smiley faces she received yesterday, Su Jingwen smiled and said, "No, he's very happy. He loves his work the most."
Gu Chengyi: Wife, please say it again with your hand on your conscience.
"That's good."
Gu Ming smiled and waved to her: "Come here, little girl, I have a gift for you."
She held Luo Luo and sat down next to him.
The old man picked up the long gift box that was lying diagonally on the table and held it up in front of her.
"Open it and take a look."
Luo Luo looked up and exclaimed, "What a long...gift!"
Luo Shimiao looked at the gift, which was taller than her, and then glanced at Gu Nian sitting diagonally opposite her, asking with her eyes, "What is it?"
Gu Nianwei shook his head almost imperceptibly.
Grandpa hadn't mentioned the gift to him, so he couldn't guess what it was.
She placed her adorable pet in Su Jingwen's arms, took the gift, and opened it under everyone's gaze.
A golden stick came into view, with two golden dragons coiled around its two ends, exuding a majestic and imposing aura.
Luo Luo held her small hand and said, "The Golden Cudgel."
Gu Ming: "I learned a few days ago that your birthday was coming up, so I went to ask your grandfather. He said that you like swords, spears, and clubs, so I had this Golden Dragon Club custom-made overnight."
“Firstly, it can be displayed in the room for appreciation; secondly,” he looked at his grandson, a sly glint in his eyes, “if Anian bullies you, you can use this golden dragon stick to whip him.”
