Lin Jianan suppressed her anger and said, "Miss Luo, you really know how to sow discord."
"You two aren't a couple, so how can you call it stirring up trouble? Gu Nian, don't you think so?"
Gu Nian looked up at Lin Jianan, his disgust undisguised: "All these years you've been stringing your senior along, taking advantage of his affection for you, and using his connections to help you develop your career."
"Miaomiao is right. Since you two aren't a couple, why bother explaining to your senior?"
"Senior, after all these years, haven't you seen it clearly yet?" His deep eyes were fixed on the man opposite him who was bowing his head and remaining silent.
Chen Jingyu looked at the floor. In fact, he had already understood, but he still held onto a sliver of hope.
Now it seems like it was all just self-deception, and it's time to let it go.
He took a deep breath, tilted his head back, poured some wine into his glass, raised it, and said to Lin Jianan with a smile, "Jianan, cheers to our many years of friendship! I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!"
After saying that, he tilted his head back and drank it all in one gulp.
“Jingyu…” Lin Jianan wanted to explain, but he interrupted her.
"A-Nian, I'm sorry, I'm not feeling well, so I have to go back first. Let's reschedule for another day."
Gu Nian: "Do you need me to give you a ride?"
"No need, I'll call a designated driver." He picked up his phone from the table, got up, and walked towards the cashier.

We absolutely cannot let this woman's sweet talk shatter his hard-won resolve.
Lin Jianan gritted her teeth and squeezed out three words: "You win!"
If she can't do it openly, she'll do it secretly. Chen Jingyu is the easiest fool to fool. If she gives him a little something sweet, he'll obediently come back to her side.
But she underestimated Chen Jingyu's determination.
The waiter brought a tray to the table: "Miss, your orange juice."
"Thank you." Luo Shimiao took a sip and then put the straw into the man's mouth: "It's delicious, take a sip."
A sly glint flashed in Gu Nian's dark eyes as freshly squeezed juice was continuously fed into his mouth through a transparent straw.
Within two breaths, two-thirds of the juice in the glass had disappeared.
Luo Shimiao gritted his teeth and said, "I'm letting you take a whiff, not expecting you to finish it!"
He blinked his delicate, almond-shaped eyes and said innocently, "That's right, just one bite."
The sweet interaction between the two was like a thorn piercing Lin Jianan's eyes.
She couldn't bear to see them so affectionate, so she slowly sat back down and said, "Miss Luo, you don't know how popular Anian was with girls at school back then. Even girls from the neighboring school came to our school to confess their love to him. Among them were many school beauties and all kinds of beauties."
Luo Shi rested his chin on his right hand, looking at her with a cool gaze: "So what are you trying to say?"

Gu Nian's face darkened as she spoke.
"Don't listen to her nonsense."
Luo Shimiao gently patted the back of his hand, which was under the table, and said, "To put it bluntly, you mean he used to sleep with other girls?"
"You spread rumors so easily, and they're even pornographic. Your attempts to sow discord won't work on me. I know my man's character perfectly well."
Lin Jianan scoffed: "You don't really believe that a man can remain celibate for so many years, do you?"
"Just because you can't sleep doesn't mean I can't sleep." Luo Shimiao pulled up her mask, leaned close to Gu Nian's ear, and whispered, "Honey, let's go home and sleep."
That "husband" touched his heart, and the gloom on his handsome face vanished.
"Okay." Gu Nian helped her up, hooked his arm around her slender waist, and led her through the corridor until they disappeared through the doorway.
Lin Jianan stomped her foot angrily and cursed under her breath.
What she didn't know was that something even worse awaited her the next day.

The following afternoon.
Luo Shimiao drove his little niece and Xiao Lü, along with the gifts he had bought for his colleagues at the studio the day before, to the studio.
When she appeared in the agent's office carrying gifts in one hand and holding Luo Luo's hand in the other, Luo Min was taken aback.
"Why didn't you say you were coming? We could have sent Xiaomai or the driver to pick you up."
"Let's skip Xiaomai. I always feel sleepy when she drives."
Luo Min squatted down and picked up Luo Luo: "Little cutie, you're here too."
She called out sweetly, "Hello, sister, I've come to see you."
"Tch, she just wants to see my boyfriend." Luo Shimiao placed the five or six exquisite handbags she was carrying on her desk.
"I bought some gifts, please give them to them."
