After returning to the shelter, Li Yinsheng first asked Reba to process some cassava for them to eat later.
Afterwards, Li Yinsheng arranged for Hu Ge and Wu Lei to rebuild their shelter, and she demolished and rebuilt the old shelter.
Wu Lei was assigned to cut down trees, Hu Ge to dig holes, and Li Yinsheng was responsible for planning how to build the shelter.
As for having Group C build a shelter with mortise and tenon joints, that's impossible.
Firstly, it would take time; secondly, there wasn't enough manpower; and thirdly, she wasn't sent to Group C to build a shelter for them, but rather to work hard for Group Three.
Li Yinsheng instructed Brother Hu to pay special attention to the depth and spacing when digging the pits to ensure that the foundation is stable and can withstand wind and rain.
While Hu Ge and Wu Lei were busy, Li Yinsheng was also working tirelessly. She was weaving vines into ropes, which would be used to secure the shelter's frame and roof, and weaving coconut palm mats. She was also collecting hay and leaves to use as roofing material, which would be both waterproof and insulating.
This time, Li Yinsheng built a sloping square-shaped shelter for Group C.
The foundation was supported by four thick wooden sticks, one tall and one short. Four wooden sticks were placed on top in a grid pattern, using mortise and tenon joints to build the four wooden sticks.
The importance of a sturdy and comfortable shelter for wilderness survival cannot be overstated. She carefully adjusted the position of each wooden stick to ensure that they were both sturdy and able to support the weight of the entire roof.
Hu Ge and Wu Lei were also busy at work, sweat dripping down their faces, but they were full of energy.
As time went on, the shelter gradually improved until it was fully completed.
Li Yinsheng stood aside, looking at her work with satisfaction. This shelter was not only structurally sound but also cleverly designed. The sloping roof effectively drained water and prevented rainwater from accumulating, while the straw mats and hay provided excellent insulation and warmth.
"If you cover three sides of the shelter with stones or straw mats, the shelter will be complete," Li Yinsheng said with a smile.
The three then threw themselves into a new round of work, using stones, wood, and vines to reinforce three sides of the shelter until it was completely airtight. In the process, they not only improved their teamwork but also learned the importance of cooperation from Hu Ge and Wu Lei.
As night fell, the shelter finally completed its magnificent transformation.
Li Yinsheng, Dilraba, Wu Lei, and Hu Ge sat around the fire, enjoying the rare peace and warmth.
"The shelters that have been built now are so much better than the ones before."
The previous shelter was too small and inconvenient; it would sway in the wind and offered absolutely no sense of security. This new shelter, however, represents a qualitative leap forward in both appearance and functionality.
"Fatty, thank you so much! Not only did you find us so much food, but you also built such a wonderful shelter for us." Reba looked at the shelter in front of her, nodded with satisfaction, and said to Li Yinsheng with great gratitude.
Now that we have food, the rebuilt shelter is so much better than the old one—spacious and comfortable, it's practically like camping in the wild.
“You guys have harpoons, so after we finish eating the coconut heart, we’ll go diving and spearfish. We’ll return the axe to Group A tomorrow, we won’t need it for now. As for the bow and arrow, I’ll go to the pheasant spot tomorrow and see if I can hunt some.” Li Yinsheng also made arrangements for the evening. The cassava hadn’t been processed yet, so they couldn’t eat it. That night, they would gather around the campfire and roast coconut heart.
"Okay, Fatty, you're good at diving and swimming, right? We're going to take a boat to the deep sea for deep-sea diving and fishing." Brother Hu glanced at Li Yinsheng and said.
"No way? I, Fatty, am skilled in everything! You guys even built a boat?" Li Yinsheng was also impressed by the survival experts from Group C. Instead of properly building the shelter, they've now built a boat. Isn't this putting the cart before the horse?
"The boat is just a few buoys that were fixed together with wooden sticks, and it can only carry two people," Brother Hu explained, seemingly noticing the disdain and confusion in Li Yinsheng's eyes.
"Okay, then who's going to come with me on the boat to go deep-sea diving and fishing?" Li Yinsheng asked, looking Wu Lei up and down.
“I’ll go with you,” Wu Lei said quickly.
"Okay, hurry up and grab something to eat, we'll have a late-night snack tonight. And it's almost eight o'clock, have you decided what you want to exchange for?" Li Yinsheng reminded Brother Hu and the others.
"I don't have high expectations for Tangtang. Now that you've brought back so many cassava, Fatty, we won't be short of food in the future."
"Brother Hu, Lei Zi, let's exchange for five jin of rice first. If that doesn't work, then exchange for three jin. If that still doesn't work, then exchange for one jin. Tang Yan can't possibly get no points at all." Reba wasn't optimistic about how much food Tang Yan could get from the exchange team, or how many points she could exchange for.
Sugary can't even recognize many wild vegetables, let alone dive to fish or climb trees to pick coconuts. She can only go beachcombing and pick crabs and snails. Unless she's extremely lucky and finds a big fish, there's basically no hope for her.
"Okay, let's do it this way."

Meanwhile, inside the Group A shelter.
It's almost eight o'clock, and the time to redeem items with points is approaching. The members of Group A are discussing what items to redeem.
"How many points do you think Fatty can get in Group C?" Huang Xiaoming asked his teammates after holding the list of items that could be redeemed with points.
"I wouldn't dare to say too much, but I think I'll get at least ten points! After all, Fatty knows a lot of wild grass and wild fruits, and she can easily pick a few pounds and get two points." Zhao Liying trusted Li Yinsheng a lot.
"Yingbao is right. With Fatty's ability to find food, she must have at least ten points."
"Now we can list out everything we need, and then tentatively exchange for items, starting with the most expensive and gradually decreasing the cost." Zhang Yixing nodded in agreement.
“We can list out the food items one by one, such as exchanging for four sizes of rice: ten jin, five jin, three jin, and one jin, as well as flour, rice noodles, mung beans, and beef, also in four sizes.”
Compressed biscuits, ten sausages, cola...
Among them, rice, flour, rice noodles, mung beans, and beef in 10-jin (5 kg) sizes can only be redeemed once; 5-jin (2.5 kg) sizes require 10 points and are limited to 3 redemptions; while 3-jin (1.5 kg) and 1-jin (5 kg) sizes require 5 points and are limited to 5 redemptions.
Other items we can choose include a set of stir-fry seasonings and barbecue seasonings.
If you have enough points, you can also choose a set of skincare products or a set of solar charging panels.
"And..." Liu Yifei picked out the items their group needed one by one, and then filtered them.
