Chapter 17 Search
The kitten was put into a cage by the housekeeper.
It was barking very violently and wanted to get out of the cage.
"No wonder I've been suffering from allergies these past few days! Housekeeper, send it to the small house in the back garden."
When Jiang Ning heard about the little house, he immediately became nervous. "Sister, why don't you let me take care of it? I... I'll take it to the suburbs and release it later."
Jiang Yunyun and the housekeeper exchanged a secret glance, and she coaxed Jiang Ning, "Don't worry, I will definitely ask the housekeeper to help you take good care of it. Nothing will go wrong."
Jiang Ning recalled an old story.
When she was eight, she picked up a kitten and secretly raised it in the garden. It eventually ran into her house and she couldn't get rid of it. Jiang Yunyun was allergic to cat hair, so Jiang Yunshan had the housekeeper secretly bring the cat into the small house without Jiang Ning's knowledge and kill it.
Jiang Ning initially thought the cat was kept in that small house, which was a small wooden house made of wooden slats.
Every time she asked to see the cat, the housekeeper would find various excuses to prevent her from doing so. Later, Jiang Ning got up at night and secretly watched the entire process. The thought of that dark scene still frightens her. Later, they lied and said the cat had been adopted.
They still think she doesn't know.
Seeing the housekeeper about to take the cat away, Jiang Ning's eyes turned red with anxiety. "Sister, I beg you, please don't take Mimi away, okay? I promise I won't let it show up again."
Jiang Yunyun's eyes turned cold, and her tone was filled with warning. "Ningning, you don't listen to me, do you? It scratched you."
Jiang Ning was stunned and could only shut up.
There is no room for negotiation on this matter.
The kitten stayed in the cage, staring at her and meowing, as if asking her for help.
There was nothing she could do about it.
Jiang Ning followed to the backyard, and the housekeeper had already brought the cat into the cabin.
She knew very well what fate the kitten would face next.
She felt weak all over and slowly squatted down, huddled in the corner, hugging her knees.
My shoulders trembled involuntarily.
She once again recalled that dark night, the cat's screams, and the bloody scene.
Jiang Ning covered his ears tightly.
…
After Qi Jinzhou finished the call, he heard from Jiang Yunyun that a stray cat appeared in her room.
Then he heard Jiang Yunyun say, "I found the photo we took that day. It fell into the gap between the cabinets. I thought someone had taken it."
Qi Jinzhou's heart sank.
Jiang Ning did not steal their photo.
Qi Jinzhou looked around for someone, but couldn't see anyone.
Jiang Yunyun had just finished taking a shower and changed her clothes, ready to let Qi Jinzhou blow dry her hair. "Jinzhou, what are you looking for?"
Qi Jinzhou covered up unconsciously, "Are you going back to school later?"
"I'm going back. Jinzhou, I'll have to trouble you to take me there."
"It's okay, what about Ningning?"
Qi Jinzhou asked the key point, and Jiang Yunyun said, "I don't know her. She appears and disappears all day long. Just now, the housekeeper took the cat away, and she disappeared with him. Who knows where she went? Maybe she went to the back garden."
Qi Jinzhou was blowing Jiang Yunyun's hair absent-mindedly. When he finished, he unconsciously walked towards the back garden.
In the distance, he saw a suspicious figure and stopped.
