Chapter 29 Be Honest

Chapter 29 Be Honest

Qi Jinzhou said calmly, "It's just a harassing message."

Jiang Ning, who was lying in bed, did not receive a reply message.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She had foolishly sent him her work, and it turned out that he thought it was so shameful.

Jiang Ning sat up and an idea came to his mind.

After Qi Jinzhou and Jiang Yunyun finished their meal at Jiang's house, Qi Jinzhou accompanied Jiang Yunyun for a walk when his cell phone rang.

Jiang Yunyun saw that he didn't seem to want to look at it, "What's wrong? Jinzhou, your phone is ringing, don't you want to check it?"

"Don't read the harassing text messages."

"oh."

The two of them walked back slowly, and Qi Jinzhou said to Jiang Yunyun, "I'll come pick you up tomorrow. Go to bed early."

It seems that he has no intention of staying tonight.

It wasn't until Qi Jinzhou sat in the driver's seat that he took out his cell phone and clicked on the so-called harassing text message. The other party sent him a picture, which was a photo of the living room in his house.

Qi Jinzhou's pupils constricted slightly, and at this moment Jiang Ning's video call came.

His tone was cold and gloomy. "Do you know how many years you'll be sentenced for trespassing into someone else's house?"

Jiang Ning acted as if he hadn't heard what he said. He happily picked up his pet "Jianjian" and said, "Brother-in-law, it turns out that this little stray cat is not dead. That's great. Why didn't you tell me that you adopted it?"

Qi Jinzhou looked into the camera and saw Jiang Ning wearing a white long skirt, holding a kitten and cuddling with it happily.

At first, Jianjian was not friendly to people, and it took a long time before it was willing to get close to me.

Unexpectedly, when Jiang Ning came, this stinky cat would actually nestle in her arms obediently and not move at all.

I have a white-eyed cat.

Qi Jinzhou sped up and rushed home.

Jiang Ning heard the sound of the door being unlocked, and Jianjian seemed to sense the presence of his master and meowed towards the door.

Qi Jinzhou's figure appeared in front of him.

He was still dressed the same way as he was at work, a white shirt and black trousers. Because of his cold expression, he gave off an aloof and cold air.

Qi Jinzhou looked at Jiang Ning, who was very familiar with him, and asked, "What are you doing here?"

Jiang Ning held the kitten in her arms and combed its fur carefully. She didn't even look at him, "Brother-in-law, aren't you curious about how I got in?"

Qi Jinzhou leaned against the wall and stared at her. "Since you can find where I live, you can naturally find a way to get in."

Jiang Ning smiled and said, "Actually, I guessed your access code correctly. What do you think, brother-in-law, am I smart?"

The password he set was his sister's birthday.

Qi Jinzhou's face was gloomy. After she left, he immediately changed to a complex password.

"What exactly do you want to do by coming to my house?" Qi Jinzhou turned around and took out a drink from the refrigerator. After thinking about it, he took out a cup of room temperature yogurt and placed it in front of Jiang Ning.

Jiang Ning glanced at Yogurt and held out his hand to him, "I'm here to look for the wood carving."

That's what she did it for.

Qi Jinzhou raised his eyebrows. "Why would you want to take something back if it's already been given away?"

Jiang Ning frowned slightly, "You were the one who switched my work on the podium. Since you think my work is so unpresentable, then give it back to me. I don't want to give my painstakingly crafted work to someone who doesn't know its value. Give it to me, and I'll leave immediately."

Qi Jinzhou chuckled, "Then guess where I'll put it. Aren't you quite smart?"

Jiang Ning glared at him, "Brother-in-law, did you do this on purpose?"

Qi Jinzhou was thinking that Jiang Ning had teased him so many times, and this time he finally got the chance to take a little "revenge" on her.

Qi Jinzhou then went to the study to work, leaving Jiang Ning alone in the living room.

She took the bottle of yogurt that had been on the table, opened it and started drinking, her eyes staring around the room.

She didn't know where Qi Jinzhou had hidden the wood carving. Besides, this was Qi Jinzhou's room after all. No matter how bold she was, she didn't dare to rummage through it.

What if Qi Jinzhou is really pushed into a corner and goes to complain to his sister?

Jiang Ning scanned the area but didn't see any trace of the wood carving. Perhaps Qi Jinzhou had already thrown her wood carving away.

It was all her fault. Why had she sent the wood carving to him? She seemed so self-righteous, thinking he would like it.

Jiang Ning was helpless.

The kitten saw her curled up on the sofa and jumped up too, rubbing against her legs and meowing, which made Jiang Ning's heart melt. It was so cute. It was a pity that she couldn't keep her at school or take her home.

More than an hour later, Qi Jinzhou finished the meeting and came out of the room. He found that the people in the living room had disappeared.

There was a small note on the table: [Brother-in-law, remember to return my things to me. I'm leaving now. It's not appropriate for a man and a woman like us to be in the same room together.]

Qi Jinzhou picked up the note and couldn't help but chuckle. At this moment, she just remembered that it wasn't appropriate for a man and a woman to be alone in the same room?

The note was crumpled and thrown into the trash can. A loud thunder flashed outside the window and it started to rain heavily.

Jiang Ning did go back, but she encountered heavy rain. Before she could even reach the gate outside the community, the heavy rain stopped her in her tracks.

She bit her lip. The rain came at a really bad time. She tried to take a few steps forward, but her shoes and socks were soaked, and the edges of her skirt were also wet.

But if she returned to her brother-in-law's house now, he would definitely laugh at her.

Jiang Ning squatted down, leaned against the wall, and looked at the heavy rain. It was so cold waiting here.

After waiting for more than half an hour, Jiang Ning really couldn't wait any longer.

I don’t know when this rain will stop.

Never mind. It's a joke, so be it. A wise man never suffers a loss in front of him. It's better to go to my brother-in-law's house and wait for the rain to stop than to wait here and suffer.

Just as Qi Jinzhou came out of the bathroom after taking a shower, he saw Jiang Ning appear in his home again.

It's nothing new.

Qi Jinzhou wiped his dripping hair, wearing only a bathrobe. His eyes were calm, "If you don't have an umbrella, there's one in the shoe cabinet."

He seemed to guess why she turned back.

Jiang Ning blushed slightly, feeling a little embarrassed. "Can I wait until the rain stops before leaving? It's hard to get a taxi now."

Qi Jinzhou walked forward and said, "Whatever you want."

After getting his consent, Jiang Ning became very well-behaved. He curled up on the sofa and watched the rain outside the window.

Jianjian seemed very happy to see her come back and jumped into her arms.

Qi Jinzhou took a look at it secretly and thought, what a stubborn cat that can never be tamed.

Because his shoes and socks were wet, Jiang Ning's feet caught a cold and he sneezed.

Jiang Ning had no choice but to take off her wet white mesh socks. When Qi Jinzhou passed by, he saw her tender white feet and a part of her white ankles exposed in the air.

Thinking that Jiang Ning was a delicate girl after all, Qi Jinzhou still felt a little reluctant to send her away, under such circumstances.

"As long as you behave yourself, you can sleep in the guest room for one night."

Qi Jinzhou said this in a nonchalant manner.
