He sat in his office chair, leaning back, looking out the window at the scenery.
At that moment, he felt as if he had returned to the past, back to the role of an office worker who worked nine to five every day.
He smiled inwardly, knowing that whether ordinary or extraordinary, life was an indispensable part of his existence.
As Qin Ze gazed quietly at the scenery outside the window, a soft knock suddenly reached his ears, and then the office door was gently pushed open. Qin Ze turned his head and saw a familiar smiling face—it was Liu Quan, one of the company's lackeys.
"President Qin, you're back!" Liu Quan walked into the office with a beaming smile, his face full of flattery, clearly showing his great respect for Qin Ze.
Qin Ze smiled slightly and nodded in response. He knew that although Liu Quan was nominally a department manager in the company, he often played the role of doing odd jobs and miscellaneous tasks, and frequently used various means to curry favor with the higher-ups and pave the way for his own future.
Liu Quan stood in front of Qin Ze with a grin, clearly having something to ask him.
"President Qin, the company learned that you're back and was thinking of having a meal together to welcome you back. What do you think?" Liu Quan's words carried a hint of flattery and expectation, as if this suggestion was something he had carefully planned.
Qin Ze smiled slightly. He wasn't one to refuse others, and besides, he wanted to experience the life of an ordinary person.
"Well, a get-together would be good. I've been wanting to go for a walk anyway, so I might as well let everyone know. Go tell them I'll be there." Qin Ze nodded slightly in agreement.
