Chapter 125 Victory over King Ying Zheng of Qin

Qin Shi Huang waved his hand gently, and a guard brought over a chess box filled with chess pieces.

The chess box was opened, revealing an exquisite chessboard with black and white chess pieces arranged on it.

Qin Ze sat before the chessboard, a light sweat beading on his forehead, his fingers gently caressing the pieces, his heart churning with emotion. Although he had some experience with Go in modern times, he felt his knowledge and skills were utterly insignificant in a match against such a master.

Game after game, he suffered repeated defeats, and the situation gradually fell into the hands of King Ying Zheng of Qin, who seemed to have no chance whatsoever. Qin Ze carefully considered every move he made, yet each time he was defeated by the King's reactions.

He lost, and lost again. Qin Ze felt his confidence crumbling little by little. He began to doubt whether he was qualified to inherit the legacy of the King of Qin, and even wanted to give up.

Just then, King Ying Zheng's voice rang out again: "Only by fighting on despite repeated defeats and never losing your original intention can you win in the end."

Qin Ze raised his head and looked at the King of Qin, his eyes filled with doubt. The King of Qin's gaze was deep and gentle, as if he could see right through Qin Ze's heart.

The King of Qin's words seemed to ignite a flame within Qin Ze. He remembered his original intention: he came into this world to grow and prove his worth. How could he give up because of a temporary setback?

He took a deep breath and refocused on the chessboard. His fingers gently picked up a piece, his mind no longer hesitant. He decided to put aside his past doubts and give it his all.

As the pieces moved across the board, the situation gradually changed, and Qin Ze began to struggle to find a breakthrough in each move. He started to use the pieces more flexibly and try different tactics.

As time passed, the game of chess between Qin Ze and the King of Qin became increasingly intense. The arrangement of the pieces resembled the military formations of both sides, with each move embodying their wisdom and strategy.

As time went by, Qin Ze gradually entered the world of chess, and he slowly understood the King of Qin's meaning. Winning or losing was not the most important thing; what was more important was not giving up despite repeated defeats and not losing one's original intention.

He began to think more calmly about each step, no longer letting his previous failures affect him. His eyes became firm, and he felt a strength within himself that enabled him to face any adversity.

During the game, Qin Ze gradually found the King of Qin's weaknesses and began to make progress. Every move he made was full of his wisdom and courage. He was no longer suppressed by the King of Qin, but gradually gained the upper hand.

The situation gradually tilted in Qin Ze's favor, and the King of Qin smiled, seemingly satisfied with Qin Ze's growth.

They continued their battle on the chessboard, the movement of the pieces mirroring the course of the battle, each move carrying the determination and will of both players.

Finally, after several hours, Qin Ze made a brilliant move, trapping the last important piece of King Qin's chess. King Ying Zheng gave Qin Ze a deep look, then nodded slightly.

"Excellent, you've won." King Ying Zheng's voice held a hint of approval. "You've passed my test."
