He stared intently at Shen Xuan, a deep crease appearing between his brows. Instead of answering, he asked, "When did she leave the film crew?"
Shen Xuan was taken aback for a moment, then replied, "A little earlier than me. According to the schedule, they should have arrived in Linhai City a while ago."
He had barely finished speaking when he suddenly realized something and hurriedly asked, "Brother, could something have happened to Sister Weiwei?"
No sooner had he finished speaking than Shen Yanqing grabbed his suit jacket with a cold expression and strode out, tearing off his tie and throwing it aside as he walked, his steps hurried.
Shen Xuan had a bad feeling: "Brother, wait for me."
As he spoke, he immediately strode after him. However, Shen Yanqing was very fast, and by the time he reached the door, he only saw the black Maybach driving away.
Seeing that the car was driving fast and in a hurry, Shen Xuan had a bad feeling and didn't dare to linger. He turned around and headed straight for the underground parking garage.
Linhai City, Airport.
In the monitoring room, a young security guard, with a cigarette dangling from his lips, sat idly in his chair playing video games while watching the computer screen.
The older security guard glanced at him and said, "Keep an eye on things, I'm going to take a nap."
"No problem, we won't run into anything for the next ten days or so, so sleep soundly."
The young security guard responded but didn't even lift his eyelids, continuing to work on his phone.
Their job is very relaxed; as long as the monitoring is working properly, no one will interfere with what they do.
Just as they were engrossed in the fight, the door was suddenly kicked open with a bang.
The young security guard was stunned for a moment, and instinctively tried to hide his phone.
Although no one is in charge of them, if higher-ups come to inspect, they will be fined if they are caught neglecting their duties.
The elderly security guard was dozing off in his chair when he heard the sound. He immediately stood up and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw a strange man wearing gold-rimmed glasses walk in.
The tension on his face turned into impatience: "This isn't a place you can just come in like that, get out now..."
Before he could finish speaking, several bodyguards in black suits appeared out from behind the handsome and refined man.
He immediately swallowed the rest of his words: "Brother, please feel free to ask me anything."
As he spoke, he patted the young security guard who was still in a daze next to him. The young security guard immediately straightened his back and gave Shen Yanqing a not-so-standard military salute: "We are at your service. Please let us know if you need anything."
Shen Yanqing glanced at the screen indifferently, walked directly to the computer screen and sat down. His slender fingers deftly typed on the keyboard with practiced ease.
The two security guards wanted to stop it, but when they saw the menacing bodyguards behind them, they immediately shut their eyes and pretended not to see anything.
Shen Yanqing moved very quickly, her slender fingers constantly tapping the keyboard. For a moment, the only sounds in the quiet room, apart from breathing, were the tapping of the keyboard.
After what seemed like an eternity, the two security guards were nearly exhausted from standing for so long when Shen Yanqing finally stood up with a cold expression and strode out of the room.
The bodyguards following behind immediately followed, and the monitoring room instantly fell silent. The two security guards exchanged a glance and neither of them spoke.
That person was clearly not someone they, as insignificant individuals, could afford to offend. Forget it, let's just pretend we didn't see him.
Shen Yanqing walked out with a sullen face. Thinking of the man in black on the screen, his expression grew even colder. He remained silent for a moment, then took out his phone and called the director of Sunshine Mental Hospital.
The phone rang only once before being answered. A middle-aged man's voice came through the receiver, his tone very respectful: "Mr. Chen, what can I do for you?"
Shen Yanqing didn't waste any words and went straight to the point: "Is Qi Yu still in the hospital?"
"Please wait a moment, I'll have someone go and take a look."
The dean seemed to have sent someone to check, and after a moment of silence, he replied, "Don't worry, Mr. Shen, the person is still in the room, and it's very quiet."
"Oh!"
Shen Yanqing sneered: "Are you sure?"
The dean felt uneasy at his cold laugh, but thinking that Qi Yu had been quiet and slept most of the time since arriving at the mental hospital, he felt more confident and nodded in agreement without thinking.
With a snap, the phone was ruthlessly hung up the moment he finished speaking the last word.
Shen Yanqing rubbed his temples and ordered, "Go to Sunshine Mental Hospital."
The dean was surprised that he would come in person. When he saw him enter with a large group of bodyguards, he was momentarily stunned, but quickly recovered and said, "President Shen, welcome!"
However, before he could even extend his hand, Shen Yanqing walked past him with a cold expression and headed straight for the ward building. He was tall and had long legs, so his steps were extremely fast.
A young nurse was cleaning by the door when she looked up and saw a young man who looked like a nobleman straight out of a comic book striding towards her. For a moment, she forgot what she was supposed to be doing.
While she was still in a daze, she heard a man's clear, cold voice: "Qi Yu, which room are you in?"
Most patients in the mental hospital are noisy from the moment they enter, but Qi Yu is so quiet that he rarely even leaves his room. Moreover, he is very good-looking and doesn't seem to be sick, so the nurses have a deep impression of him.
When she heard the gentlemanly-looking man ask her a question, she immediately replied, "Room 205."
"Thanks."
Shen Yanqing left a casual remark and headed straight for her room on the second floor.
He walked very quickly and reached the door of the ward in no time.
Through the glass in the door, he could clearly see a man in a hospital gown lying curled up on the bed with his back to the door. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
