When the woman was taken away, Ye Mei could clearly see the sadness in Qi Yu's eyes. How could she bear to see her master sad? Without thinking, she immediately stopped the woman.
A dozen or so men in black followed closely behind, lined up in a row, blocking their way.
"Damn it, are you guys ever going to stop?"
Big Head spat on the ground and led a group of bodyguards to fight.
Just as tensions were about to escalate, Qi Yu spoke coldly: "Let them go."
“Master, but what about your feelings for Miss Gu…”
Nightshade bit her red lips, somewhat unwilling to give in.
"That's an order!"
Qi Yu spoke in a cold voice. Ye Mei glared at Gu Baiwei and made way for her. The men in black behind her also moved aside.
And so, Big Head and his bodyguard stood on one side, while Nightshade and the Shadow Cult members stood on the other, effectively clearing the middle of the road.
Shen Yanqing, without glancing to the side, carried the person away in a long stride.
Big Head immediately followed closely behind with his bodyguards, nervously guarding against what was behind them.
He finally breathed a sigh of relief after walking out of the courtyard gate.
As soon as the group stepped outside, they heard a familiar, childish voice: "Handsome brother, are you leaving so soon?"
Gu Baiwei lifted her head from Shen Yanqing's embrace and saw a little girl who looked about six or seven years old sitting on a big tree not far away, wearing a pink sports sweatshirt.
The tree looked quite old, with a thick trunk that would require two adults holding hands to encircle it.
The little girl, with two long ponytails, sat on one of the branches, swinging her legs leisurely and looking over with a smile, looking very innocent and cute.
The tree branch was about five or six meters above the ground, and she sat there leisurely, her body swaying back and forth. Gu Baiwei was a little worried; would this little girl fall?
The moment that thought crossed her mind, the little girl suddenly swayed, screamed, and fell straight down the tree.
She was so frightened that her voice stammered, "Yan...Yan Qing, quick, save him!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he saw more than a dozen bodyguards in black move in unison.
However, instead of rescuing them, they stood in a very wary line in front of her and Shen Yanqing.
Gu Baiwei cried out anxiously, "Quickly, save them!"
No sooner had the words left her mouth than the little girl, who had just fallen from the tree, nimbly turned in mid-air and landed steadily on the ground like a gymnast.

As soon as she finished speaking, Gu Baiwei clearly heard a rustling sound coming from behind her, and the sound was getting closer and closer.
It was as if a large group of things were approaching them.
Curious, she lifted her head from Shen Yanqing's embrace, and after just one glance, her face turned pale as she grabbed Shen Yanqing's sleeve: "There...there's a snake."
The ground behind them was covered with all sorts of snakes.
The snakes, their tongues flicking, stopped about a meter away from them. Their skins were brightly colored and clearly venomous.
"Handsome brother, can we make them move aside now?"
Tang Doudou smiled and spoke to Shen Yanqing. At that moment, a large snake, as thick as an arm, crawled out from who-knows-where and reached her feet, nuzzling her calf affectionately with its head.
Gu Baiwei was numb just looking at it; the thought of the snake's slippery texture gave her goosebumps.
If that snake were to stick to her calf, she'd probably breakdance on the spot.
However, the little girl opposite calmly bent down and even affectionately patted the snake's head.
This time, not only Gu Baiwei, but even the black-clad bodyguards blocking her way turned pale. This little girl was indeed strange.
Shen Yanqing lowered his eyebrows slightly: "Let her come over."
The bodyguards who had been blocking his way like a black wall immediately obediently moved aside. Only Da Tou remained standing next to Shen Yanqing, still somewhat uneasy, his muscles tense, ready to make a move at any moment.
Tang Doudou walked past the space they had made way for without a care, slowly stopped in front of them, looked up and smiled sweetly: "Hello, pretty sister, my name is Tang Doudou."
Gu Baiwei had already told Shen Yanqing to put her down. Seeing the little girl stretching out the hand that had just touched the snake, she looked at her with a smile.
After a two-second silence, she still grasped that hand: "Hello, my name is Gu Baiwei."
The snakes that this little girl attracted are still lurking around, and making her unhappy now won't do them any good.
"Pretty sister, your hands are so white and soft."
