There was only a narrow platform outside the railing, barely enough to put one's feet on. Ye Chuyue was forced to stand on the edge of the rooftop, gripping the railing tightly with both hands, while a dagger was pressed against her neck.
The wind howled, and raindrops fell intermittently, making the weather even colder.
She was wearing a thin dress and was shivering from the cold, but she could only grit her teeth and hold on tightly to the safety railing, not daring to relax for even a moment.
If she lets go, she will fall from the roof of the thirty-something-story building.
Gu Baiwei's heart ached terribly, and something flashed through her mind.

He answered the phone, his expression immediately turning serious: "I understand, I'll be right back."
After hanging up the phone, he looked up at Li Nanxing and said, "Kid, I'm giving you a task: get your girlfriend and Miss Gu home safely."
"Second Uncle, don't talk nonsense. Yuejie and I are just friends."
Li Nanxing explained, blushing.
"Tsk, I've never seen you so nervous with any of my other friends."
Officer Li casually waved to the three of them and strode away, leaving only the three of them on the rooftop.
Li Nanxing, blushing, helped Ye Chuyue up and asked her, "Auntie, are you alright by yourself?"
"It's okay, I can walk by myself."
Gu Baiwei answered casually, glancing at the sky. A dark cloud covered the sky, and the wind was blowing harder, indicating that a heavy rain was imminent.
"We'd better hurry, the rain is going to get heavier soon."
She said that and walked out first.
As I reached the stairwell, my phone suddenly rang.
Upon seeing the unfamiliar number, Gu Baiwei hung up without hesitation.
But as soon as I hung up, the familiar ringtone of my phone rang again.
