Chapter 199 If She Dies, I'll Go With Her

She didn't know what Qi Yu wanted from her, but she was certain he wouldn't let her die.

Otherwise, while they were living in the fishing village, he would have had countless opportunities to make his move.

Even the explosion that caused the fall into the sea was meticulously planned by him.

Previously, she thought that Qi Yu had a morbid possessiveness towards her because of their childhood relationship, but now it seems that this is clearly not the case.

If I'm not mistaken, what he wants to do is probably related to the woman in the wheelchair.

She gripped Shen Yanqing's hand tightly, leaned close to him, and whispered, "That woman."

Shen Yanqing was incredibly clever; he understood her meaning instantly from just one sentence.

He reached out and put his arm around her waist to prevent her from falling, and ordered the men in black behind him, "Since Mr. Shen has no sincerity in negotiating, there's no need to keep the hostages. Let's start with the one in the wheelchair."

The veins on the back of Qi Yu's hand bulged, but she still suppressed her anger and tried to speak calmly: "Aren't you afraid that I'll really kill her?"

"If she dies, I will go with her."

Shen Yanqing's right hand, hanging down, interlocked with her fingers, his eyes resolute.

"Fine, let's see how long you can keep up this stubbornness."

Qi Yu spoke fiercely, clearly enraged.

Before she could finish speaking, Gu Baiwei felt the things in her mind moving even more violently, as if something might pop out of her head at any moment.

The excruciating pain caused her to clutch her head and scream uncontrollably.

Shen Yanqing hugged her tightly, his eyes suddenly reddening.

He gritted his teeth and said, word by word, "Burn that woman."

The bodyguard in black responded, and immediately someone brought over a can of gasoline from somewhere, which was then poured directly onto the wheelchair with a splash.

Then, with a click, the flame from the lighter illuminated the woman's pale, bloodless face.

As the firelight drew closer, even the tiny pores on the woman's face became clearly visible.

Qi Yu's hands clenched and unclenched repeatedly. Just as the flames were less than an inch away from the person in the wheelchair, he raised his voice and gritted his teeth, saying, "Stop! I agree to your conditions."

As the last word fell, Gu Baiwei, who had been clenching her teeth tightly, went limp and fainted in Shen Yanqing's arms.

He quickly bent down and hugged the person horizontally; just a moment ago, he almost gave in.

Shen Yanqing had experienced countless dangers since childhood, but this was the first time she had felt so panicked.

He hugged the person in his arms tightly, then turned and left.

"Wait, give her back to me."

Qi Yu spoke through gritted teeth, her words filled with suppressed anger.

How dare they treat her like this? He had gone to great lengths to preserve her intact until now.

If anything happens to her, he will make sure all of them suffer a terrible death.

"We will return it to you once we leave safely. As a token of our sincerity, we will return this little girl to you first."

As Shen Yanqing finished speaking, the bodyguard in black who was holding the little girl stepped forward and threw the sleeping girl into Qi Yu's arms.

Qi Yu didn't even glance at her, directly tossing the little girl to his subordinates. His dark eyes were fixed on the lifeless figure in the wheelchair, and his heart trembled slightly.

Only after everyone had boarded the car did the bodyguard in black suddenly push the wheelchair forward and quickly jump into the already started black sedan.

Qi Yu's mind was entirely focused on the wheelchair, and she had no time to pay attention to them. The moment the wheelchair was pushed forward, she immediately pounced on them.

Just as the wheelchair was about to crash into the nearest tree, Qi Yu's pupils contracted sharply. The next moment, a ghostly figure in red stepped aside to block the wheelchair.

The immense inertia caused the wheelchair to collide head-on with the woman's abdomen. Ye Mei groaned, clutching her stomach as she slowly crouched down, her hands still gripping the wheelchair's armrests tightly to prevent the person inside from falling off.

"Owner."

Her voice was filled with suppressed pain as she looked up at the man she had liked for so long with hopeful eyes.

The man rushed toward her, his face showing a panic and tension she had never seen before.

With hopeful eyes, Qi Yu picked up the woman in the wheelchair and her face was full of joy at having found her again: "Sister, I'm so glad you're alright."

He lowered his eyes to carefully check her condition, his gaze falling on a dark lividity on the back of her pale hand, his expression tense: "Sister, don't be afraid, I'll take you back right away."

Damn it, she'd been out of the coffin for too long; her skin was starting to rot.

Without even glancing at the expectant Night Demon on the ground, he carried her away with long, hurried steps.

Nightshade stared blankly in the direction he disappeared, slowly lowering her hand that was clutching her abdomen, revealing a shocking patch of blood on the back of her hand.

When she reached for the wheelchair, a large patch of skin on the back of her hand was scraped off, leaving it bloody and mangled.

But he didn't even glance at her, not even a look.

She's not even as good as a dead person.

An overwhelming bitterness spread through her heart. She staggered to her feet, leaning against a nearby tree, and stared at the man's receding figure, a self-deprecating smile curving her lips.

Gu Baiwei slept until the afternoon of the next day.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw someone lying on the side of the bed, and her hand was being held by that person, who did not loosen his grip even in his sleep.

Seeing that his brows were slightly furrowed even in his sleep, she couldn't help but withdraw her hand and gently touch the wrinkles between his brows with her fingertips, trying to smooth them out with a little force.

Just as she touched him, the sleeping man's long, curled eyelashes fluttered. The next moment, his deep, dark eyes slowly opened, and the instant he looked at her, his eyes immediately lit up.

Gu Baiwei was surprised that he woke up so quickly. She awkwardly tried to withdraw her hand, but he reached out and grabbed it.

Their eyes met, and he slowly leaned closer, whispering her name: "Weiwei."

As the handsome face gradually loomed closer, Gu Baiwei nervously closed her eyes. However, before the soft lips she expected could touch her, the door was pushed open with a bang.

"Auntie, boohoo, you scared me to death! You're finally awake."

Ye Chuyue rushed in with red eyes, pushing Shen Yanqing aside and pulling Gu Baiwei into her arms.

She was being choked so tightly she could barely breathe. She quickly reached out and patted her back hard, managing to squeeze out two words: "Let...go."

However, the person, lost in grief, did not notice the faint sound until a large hand ruthlessly pulled her aside.

She immediately bristled: "What are you doing? I'm worried about my aunt, isn't that enough?"

"Yes, they were so worried they were practically rolling their eyes back."

A chilling voice sounded behind her, and when she turned around, she was met with two extremely similar faces.

She frowned and looked at one of them: "Why are you still here?"
