Ye Chuyue frowned. Was this woman out of her mind? Her apple wasn't made of gold; it just fell, so what?
Thinking of this, he immediately lost interest in picking up apples, sat back down in his chair, and ignored the woman.
The woman's hands were still outstretched in front of the two of them, and she said through gritted teeth, "Give it back to me."
Li Nanxing sensed something was off about the woman and quickly tugged at Ye Chuyue's sleeve: "Sister Yue, why don't you help her pick it up?"
Ye Chuyue was also stubborn. She would be nice to others if they spoke to her nicely, but she would never give an unreasonable person a kind look. Her face immediately darkened and she said, "Pick it up yourself if you want."
The woman stared intently at her, her eyes slightly red at the corners, whether from anger or heat, it was hard to tell.
He mechanically repeated what he had just said: "Give it back to me."
Ye Chuyue's temper flared up, and she stood up abruptly: "You dropped it yourself, pick it up yourself."
The woman stared at her with red eyes, then suddenly grabbed a fruit knife from the table and stabbed Ye Chuyue.
The sudden turn of events left Ye Chuyue momentarily speechless.
When she came to her senses again, she was already tightly held in Li Nanxing's arms.
The sound of a knife piercing flesh was a "thud".
Li Nanxing groaned, his face turning pale instantly.
He held the person in his arms even tighter.
"Li Nanxing!"
Ye Chuyue cried out in surprise and raised her hand to push him away, but she couldn't push him away no matter what she did.
The madwoman brandished the fruit knife and stabbed Li Nanxing in the back again and again, her expression crazed: "Damn it, damn it, you all deserve to die."
The surrounding passengers were terrified. A young man came over and tried to pull the crazy woman away, but he couldn't budge her. Instead, he was almost slashed on the face by the woman with a fruit knife.
No one else dared to make a move, and they all kept their distance from the madman, afraid of being caught in the crossfire.
At this moment, the flight attendant pushed the cart over, paused for a moment when she saw the chaotic cabin, and then saw the crazy woman committing the crime.
He mustered his courage and stepped forward to advise, "Madam, please calm down."
No sooner had he finished speaking than the madwoman suddenly turned around, grabbed a bloodstained fruit knife, and lunged at him.
The flight attendant immediately screamed and ran away.
Seeing this, the passengers next to them also scrambled to escape, and the cabin immediately descended into chaos.
Ye Chuyue reached out to support Li Nanxing, and seeing the several bloody holes in his back, tears streamed down her face: "Li Nanxing, Li Nanxing, say something, don't scare me."
As she spoke, she frantically tried to stop the bleeding from the wounds on his back with a towel, but there were too many wounds to stop the bleeding.
"Li Nanxing, what should we do? You've lost a lot of blood."
Ye Chuyue's mind went blank, and her hand, which was pressing the towel, trembled uncontrollably.
Li Nanxing stared at her pale face and forced a smile: "Sister Yue, I... I'm fine."
"Lean against me and rest for a while, and talk less."
Tears streamed down Ye Chuyue's face as she supported him, letting him lean on her shoulder, and looked around with pleading eyes: "Is there a doctor or nurse here?"
The surrounding passengers all shook their heads, unable to help.
Ye Chuyue could only press on Li Nanxing's wound with her hands, but she still couldn't stop crying.
Fortunately, another flight attendant arrived in time, bringing gauze and iodine to help treat Li Nanxing's wound.
"No, he has too many wounds on his back, he needs to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible."
The flight attendant looked at the wound, which was wrapped in several layers of gauze but still couldn't stop the bleeding, and felt somewhat troubled.
The airplane had limited first-aid supplies, so there was no way to stop the bleeding quickly.
Just then, a woman's frantic scream suddenly came from the front cabin: "Die! Die! You all deserve to die!"
The flight attendant's expression changed, and she hurriedly stood up: "You take care of him, I'll go check on him up ahead."
As he spoke, he quickly ran towards the front cabin.
A short while later, the woman was subdued by the train police, her hands were tied behind her back, and she was forced to walk through the aisle.
As he passed by the two of them, a pair of bloodshot eyes glared fiercely at Ye Chuyue.
Ye Chuyue's heart skipped a beat, and she reached out to carefully steady Li Nanxing.
A little while later, the flight attendant returned and gave Ye Chuyue some gauze, iodine, and Yunnan Baiyao: "Madam, the plane will be landing soon. We have just contacted 120 and you can be taken to the hospital as soon as we land."
Ye Chuyue felt as if a huge stone was pressing on her chest, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
He nodded mechanically at her: "Thank you."
She reached out and put her arm around Li Nanxing's shoulder, helping him to sit up straight.
Li Nanxing lowered his eyes and leaned against her, a slight smile curving his pale lips. Today's injuries were worth it.
Seeing that Ye Chuyue looked unwell, he gently comforted her, "Sister Yue, I'm fine."
Ye Chuyue looked at his back, which was covered in blood, and his face was as white as paper. She pursed her lips and said, "Don't talk. Just rest. We'll be there soon."
As he spoke, he kept glancing anxiously out the window.
After a long and arduous wait, the plane finally landed.
With the help of the flight attendant, Ye Chuyue immediately helped Li Nanxing onto the stretcher that had been waiting for her.
The ambulance sped through the street with its siren blaring.
When they arrived at the hospital, Li Nanxing was already somewhat delirious due to excessive blood loss, but he was still holding onto her hand.
The nurse next to them glanced at them enviously and said, "You two must be a couple. You have such a good relationship."
In this situation, Ye Chuyue had no intention of explaining and even forgot to tell Song Anze.
