"What happened?"
As soon as Lu Ran turned his head to look at the door, three men with guns rushed in menacingly.
"Don't move!"
The waitress was startled and screamed in terror, "What...what are you doing?"
No sooner had she finished speaking than a gunshot rang out. The waitress was shot in the head, her eyes wide open in death, as she fell into a pool of blood.
The splattered blood splashed on the people around them, causing everyone to scream in fright. But halfway through their screams, they saw the dark muzzle of a gun and desperately covered their mouths, not daring to make a sound.
"Damn it, anyone who dares to utter another sound will suffer the same fate."
The once noisy restaurant became incredibly quiet in an instant.
The leading man glanced around before finally fixing his gaze on Gu Baiwei, and strode towards them.
Gu Baiwei was startled when she met his fierce gaze, but she forced herself to calm down.
The man strode up to their table, his gun suddenly pointing at Gu Baiwei: "You, come out here!"
Lu Ran swallowed nervously, then mustered his courage and said, "Big brother, if you want money, I'm the richest person here. You...you arrest me."
"Get out of my way!"
The man roughly kicked Lu Ran to the ground.
Lu Ran immediately became angry. Just as he was about to get up, a gun was pressed against his head, and he dared not move for a moment.
"Come out, or I'll shoot him!"
The man roared at Gu Baiwei, just then a screeching sound of brakes came from outside the door.
A dozen or so black cars lined up in a row, surrounding the restaurant.
The car doors opened in unison, and dozens of bodyguards in black suits stepped out.
Upon seeing the bodyguard in the lead, Gu Baiwei's eyes trembled slightly; he was actually one of Shen Yanqing's men.
How did he end up here?
Before Gu Baiwei could figure it out, the man pointed the gun at her again: "Damn it, you bitch, if you don't want them to die, get out here right now!"
As he spoke, he reached out roughly to grab the person, but a slightly pale hand grabbed his wrist.
The boy had slender, long fingers and a sickly pale complexion, looking rather frail. But for some reason, the man felt a numbness in his arm the moment his wrist was grabbed, and he instantly lost all strength.
Qi Yu's smile vanished, her eyes flashing with venom: "Don't touch her!"
"Damn it, you brat, you're asking for it!"
The man pulled the trigger of the gun in his other hand and shoved it into Qi Yu's forehead.
Qi Yu simply looked at him calmly, her face expressionless: "Want to try and see if your gun is faster, or my knife?"
The man looked down in shock and realized that a dagger was pressed against his private parts, its gleaming blade dazzlingly white under the light.
He gritted his teeth and moved the gun away: "I just want this lady to cooperate. As long as she cooperates, I'll let you leave immediately."
As soon as she finished speaking, Gu Baiwei saw Ye Chuyue's expression suddenly change: "Watch out!"
She screamed, and at the same time, a bottle smashed against the back of Qi Yu's head with a loud bang.
Qi Yu immediately swayed and collapsed onto the table.
Gu Baiwei was startled: "Classmate Qi!"
At that moment, the man next to her grabbed her arm and shouted, "Get out here!"
Gu Baiwei struggled instinctively, then suddenly met the man's vicious eyes: "Either obey me, or I'll kill everyone here."
At those words, soft sobs immediately filled the air.
A woman holding a child pleaded softly, "Miss, please listen to him."
Immediately following, an elderly man with a white beard chimed in, "Miss, otherwise everyone will die. Please have mercy."
Ye Chuyue reached out and grabbed her hand: "Auntie, don't go."
Lu Ran, who was squatting on the ground, also looked over: "Sister Weiwei, don't go."
Before she could finish speaking, the man next to her kicked her to the ground: "Damn it, shut the hell up!"
Gu Baiwei reached out and patted Ye Chuyue's arm: "Yueyue, you stay here and stay, I'll be right back."
Although she didn't know why they insisted on arresting her, subconsciously, Gu Baiwei felt that this matter was likely related to Shen Yanqing.
She straightened her clothes, stood up, helped the unconscious Qi Yu lie down on the chair, and then slowly walked to the man.

Outside the restaurant, Shen Yanqing had just gotten out of the car when he saw what was happening inside through the glass. He clenched his fists, and his body tensed up instantly.
He saw the woman he had been longing for being held at gunpoint, and a sense of panic welled up inside him for no apparent reason.
Just then, the phone rang.
He suppressed his anger, pressed the answer button, and kept his eyes fixed on the figure being held hostage in the restaurant, his eyes filled with ruthlessness.
Gu Baiwei was led to the restaurant entrance with a gun pointed at her. The glass door of the restaurant had been smashed, and Shen Yanqing could clearly see what she looked like.
During this time, he told himself that he was just a woman, and he could have any kind of woman he wanted.
But I still can't stop thinking about her. Sometimes when I'm driving, I'll uncontrollably drive to her apartment building and stay there until the middle of the night.
Gu Baiwei never expected that seeing Shen Yanqing again would be like this. When she inadvertently met his gaze, her expression instantly became somewhat awkward.
