He was frantic with worry when he learned that Gu Baiwei was in trouble.
"Huh? What is it?"
Gu Baiwei asked the question subconsciously, only realizing after she finished speaking that he was referring to her meeting with Qi Yu today.
"It's nothing serious, look at me, I'm fine."
As soon as he finished speaking, Ye Sinian, who usually had a cold expression, had red eyes.

The room where the urn used to be was also empty. It seems that only Qi Yu knows where the ashes are kept.
Just as Gu Baiwei was feeling down, Da Tou called to tell her that Shen Yan had woken up.
"Every year, I want to visit Mr. Shen."
Gu Baiwei still doesn't know how to explain her relationship with Shen Yanqing to Ye Sinian, so she only tells Ye Sinian that Shen Yanqing saved her.
Ye Sinian had some misunderstandings about Shen Yanqing because of Xia Shihan's matter, but Shen Yanqing had been behaving himself recently. Moreover, he was his mother's savior, so he decided to accompany Gu Baiwei to visit him.
On the way, he thoughtfully bought a fruit basket.
When the two entered the ward together, Shen Yanqing was leaning against the bed, seemingly lost in thought.
Seeing Gu Baiwei enter, a smile immediately appeared on his face: "Weiwei, you're here?"
Upon hearing this address, Ye Sinian immediately frowned and looked at Gu Baiwei with some confusion, his unspoken question being, "When did you two become so familiar?"

She walked over and placed the fruit basket on Shen Yanqing's bedside.

Ye Sinian's eyes instantly darkened. He couldn't tolerate a man touching his mother in front of him, even if that man was his mother's savior.
"Auntie, we should go now."
He forced himself to speak, suppressing his anger.
Shen Yanqing, lying on the bed, raised an eyebrow, then suddenly his expression changed, and he clutched his chest and groaned.
Noticing his unusual behavior, Gu Baiwei immediately became anxious: "What's wrong? Is your wound uncomfortable again? I'll go call the doctor right away."
She turned to leave, but Shen Yanqing stopped her: "I'm fine, I'm just feeling a little unwell. Da Tou just went out because of something. Could you stay and keep me company for a while?"
Ye Sinian watched all this coldly, and spoke again, reminding her, "Auntie, we should go."

Ye Sinian's expression grew even colder. He glanced at Shen Yanqing, who was clearly faking illness on the bed, and turned to leave: "Alright, I have other things to do. I'll have Assistant Lu come back to pick you up later."
Gu Baiwei didn't think anything was wrong and nodded: "Okay, you can go ahead and get busy."
She took up half of her son's time today; he should be at work by now.
Ye Sinian snorted coldly, glanced at Shen Yanqing, and turned to leave expressionlessly.
Seeing the person in the way leave, a cunning glint flashed in Shen Yanqing's eyes beneath his dark eyelashes.
He curled the corners of his lips into a smile, then clutched his chest in pain.
Seeing his condition, Gu Baiwei immediately became anxious: "How are you? Is your wound hurting again? I'll go call the doctor for you right away."
Just as she was about to stand up, Shen Yanqing grabbed her wrist again: "It's not serious, it's just that the wound feels a bit stuffy. Can you take a look and see what's wrong?"
Gu Baiwei, unsuspecting, leaned closer, opened Shen Yanqing's shirt, and carefully examined the wound wrapped in gauze.

Big Head strode in carrying a bag of fruit: "Boss, I bought you some..."

Gu Baiwei sat on the edge of the hospital bed, her face flushed, fanning herself with her palm as if she were hot.

He casually placed the fruit on the table and turned on the air conditioner with the remote control.

"Are you very free?"
Shen Yanqing shot him a cold glare, and Da Tou scratched his head: "I'm pretty free."
His silly look made Gu Baiwei burst out laughing.
"Get out."
Shen Yanqing's forehead veins bulged slightly as he gritted his teeth and spoke.
Big Head looked completely bewildered, but he still obediently closed the door and left.
Even as he walked out the door, he still couldn't figure out what he had done to offend the boss.
He was inexplicably asked to buy fruit earlier, and he did. Now he's told to get lost, and he's done it. But why is the boss still looking at him with extreme displeasure?
Inside the ward, the moment the door closed, the room fell silent once more.
Gu Baiwei blushed slightly, feeling a little awkward, and stood up: "If there's nothing else, I'll go ahead..."
Before she could finish speaking, her slender waist was once again hooked by Shen Yanqing.
