"Are you going to participate in the audition for Super Singer?"
Gu Baiwei looked completely surprised.
Ye Chuyue met her shocked expression and realized that she had misunderstood.
She pursed her lips, a hint of disappointment on her face: "Auntie, do you also think this is a waste of time, just like my brother?"
"How could this be? Our Yueyue is amazing! She's actually going to be a singer!"
Gu Baiwei gave her a thumbs-up in an exaggerated way, her pride almost overflowing.

Suddenly, a familiar male voice came from behind. Gu Baiwei looked up in surprise and saw Lu Ran waving at her with a smile, while Ye Yunting, who looked nervous, stood next to him.
Gu Baiwei frowned instantly. How could she run into Ye Yunting here? Could he be here to ask for reconciliation again?
Thinking of this, she unconsciously looked at Ye Yunting with a hint of disgust.
Noticing her gaze, Ye Yunting walked towards her somewhat awkwardly: "Weiwei."
She had only taken a few steps when Lu Ran grabbed her by the back of her neck by the collar.
Ye Yunting frowned and looked at him: "What are you doing?"
Lu Ran said with a teasing look, "What about fair competition? Hmm? Move back a bit, let's go together."
Ye Yunting coldly slapped his hand away: "Get out."
Lu Ran seized the opportunity to dart over to Gu Baiwei and greeted her with a smile: "Sister Weiwei, long time no see."
Gu Baiwei smiled and replied, "Long time no see."
He treated Ye Yunting as if he were invisible from beginning to end.
Lu Ran looked at Ye Yunting beside her with a smug expression, his meaning quite clear: So what? Sister Weiwei still likes me more.
Ye Yunting snorted coldly, "Childish."
His drooping fingers tightened forcefully.
He knew she still hated him, but that just showed she still cared about him, didn't it?
Where there is no love, there is no hate. He believed that as long as he tried, she would eventually come back to him.
"Sister Weiwei, what are you doing here? You didn't know I was here for the competition, did you come all this way to see me?"
Lu Ran chuckled and leaned forward, getting a closer look at Gu Baiwei's outfit. A look of amazement flashed in her eyes: "Sister Weiwei, you look so beautiful today."
Gu Baiwei wore a light purple lace slip dress, with a matching belt cinching her waist, highlighting her slender figure.
Her long, dark hair was pulled up high, revealing her slender, fair swan neck.
Gu Baiwei felt a little embarrassed by his praise. She casually tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and smiled, "Thank you. I came with Yueyue."
"Sister Weiwei, we really are destined to meet. How about we have dinner together after this?"
Lu Ran looked at her with bright, puppy-dog eyes full of expectation.
Gu Baiwei's gaze briefly met Ye Yunting's. Just as she was hesitating whether to refuse, a girl clutching her stomach hurriedly passed by her, and something slipped from the girl's body onto the ground.
Gu Baiwei was stunned for a moment, then picked it up from the ground; it turned out to be a number plate.
She looked up to look for the girl, but found that she had already disappeared.
Just then, someone ran up behind her and grabbed her.
"Number 502, right? It's your turn to go on stage?"
Without saying a word, the woman pulled Gu Baiwei toward the audition hall.
"No, I..."
She walked quickly, and before Gu Baiwei could refuse, she pulled her directly to the center of the hall.
The bright spotlight shone down instantly, and Gu Baiwei was momentarily stunned. She stood there on the stage, silently staring at the judges with their puzzled expressions and the sea of faces of the audience.
The woman who brought her on stage gave her a subtle shove: "What are you standing there for? Hurry up and start!"
Gu Baiwei then realized that they must have mistaken the number plate for their own.
"What's going on? Why hasn't it started yet? Are they just here to fill in the numbers again?"
"If you don't have the ability, why are you participating? Isn't this just a waste of everyone's time?"
"If you can't sing, then step down. Don't hold up the other contestants."

Whispers quickly rose from the audience. At first, it was just quiet discussion, but soon it turned into a chorus of shouts and jeering, "Come down! Come down!"
Gu Baiwei wanted to explain, but for a moment it was as if a thorn was stuck in her throat, and she couldn't say a word.
A scene from my memory overlaps with the present.
She saw herself standing on the stage, holding a microphone, looking very nervous.
Below the stage, Ye Yunting looked at her coldly, his disgust barely concealed: "What songs can she sing? Get her off the stage right now."
Some people chimed in, "If you can't sing, why go up there? Isn't that just wasting everyone's time?"
Immediately afterwards, someone whistled: "If you can't sing, get down here!"
