Chapter 10 The Marshal suffered a massive hemorrhage.

Chapter 10 The Marshal suffered a massive hemorrhage.

An indescribable metallic and sweet-smelling taste exploded in Ning Shuyin's mouth.

The taste of this special drink is... absolutely amazing.

She almost vomited on the spot.

After a few seconds of struggling, Ning Shuyin forced herself to swallow, her little face scrunched up: "Mu Ze, what is this thing..."

Could it be a report from the marshal?

Seeing this, Mu Ze quickly explained, "This is a highly effective blood cell supplement specially supplied by the fleet. You should take some now..."

As he spoke, the secretary's gaze drifted discreetly toward the large bed.

Ning Shuyin looked bewildered and followed his gaze, only to see the shocking bloodstains on the bed.

Ning Shuyin: "..."

In a flash, she suddenly realized what her thoughtful secretary had imagined.

He probably thought that a "fierce battle in bed" had just taken place here.

That bed full of blood was hers!

Good heavens! What kind of interstellar waste is Mu Ze's brain filled with?

Ning Shuyin's cheeks flushed instantly as she tried to explain, "No, no! You've misunderstood."

Muze nodded: "No, that's not it, I understand."

Mu Ze's tone and expression were far too perfunctory. She knew he didn't believe her at all.

Ning Shuyin wanted to clarify, but blurted out, "That belongs to the marshal..."

Before he finished speaking, the atmosphere in the room suddenly became a little strange.

Mu Ze's smile changed, becoming a complex expression—as if he had just heard a shocking piece of gossip.

Ning Shuyin almost bit her own tongue.

Situ Linchen warned her that she must never reveal the matter of her superpower going out of control.

Therefore, she could not reveal that Situ Linchen was injured by her own berserk magical weapon.

But... she didn't say the second half of the sentence; the first half, "that blood belonged to the marshal," sounded even more terrifying.

She was a frail girl who couldn't even kill a chicken, but during a date, she managed to make the strongest SSS-class marshal in the interstellar alliance bleed profusely in bed.

That sounds even more outrageous and suggestive!

However, all the words stuck in his throat, turning into a pale and powerless sentence: "Muze... In short, things are definitely not as you imagine."

Just when Ning Shuyin was at her wit's end, Situ Linchen parted his thin lips and said:

"It's my blood."

In short, Muze's jaw nearly dropped to the ground.

Situ Linchen didn't explain further, but simply said, "Is there a problem?"

Mu Ze immediately stood up straight and said loudly, "No problem at all, Marshal."

After that, the room fell into a subtle silence.

Situ Linchen continued working there. Mu Ze seemed to be imagining the new information he had just received, his face turning red and then yellow.

Ning Shuyin, however, was restless and uneasy.

Every minute and every second felt like a death knell.

Dr. Lorraine will be here soon; she must leave before then.

Ning Shuyin frantically searched her mind for an excuse to run away.

Feeling unwell? The thought was quickly dismissed by her.

Are you kidding me? Loran is a top medical genius in the Interstellar Alliance.

If she said she wasn't feeling well, she wouldn't be able to escape.

Did they have someone make a phone call and stage a scene to get her to leave?

This is the most frequently used escape tactic in blind date scenarios.

But in this world, the only friend she could turn to for help was Su Qianqian.

That won't work either.

We must not allow Su Qianqian to have any contact with these men.

A single phone call could ruin the main storyline.

As for the reason for working...

Situ Linchen "thoughtfully" requested seven days of paid leave for her today, thus shutting down that excuse.

...

Suddenly, a brilliant idea struck her.

City AI Butler.

This is it!

The joke about "forgetting to turn off the gas at home" is old, but it's still useful.

She lowered her eyes, her fingertips making a series of skillful maneuvers on the personal terminal, and a series of commands were sent out.

After doing all this, she only needed to wait quietly.

"Beep beep beep!"

Less than ten seconds later, a rapid alarm suddenly sounded from her personal terminal.

Even Situ Linchen, who was present, slightly raised his eyes and looked at her.

Ning Shuyin pretended to be flustered as she answered the call.

A serious AI voice immediately echoed throughout the room:

"Hello Ms. Ning Shuyin. An abnormality in high-energy-consuming equipment has been detected in your residence in Chenguang Apartment, District 6. To avoid causing a regional energy outage, please return home immediately for physical verification. Repeat, please return home immediately."

The announcement was delivered in a serious and cold tone.

Ning Shuyin thought to herself: The plan works. But on her face, she feigned panic and anxiety.

"Marshal, there's a situation at home that I need to go back immediately."

Ning Shuyin's personal computer was flashing the highest level of red alert.

Situ Linchen's gaze lingered on her face for two seconds.

Those eyes seemed to see right through everything.

Just as Ning Shuyin's heart was about to leap out of her throat, he finally nodded: "Go."

Ning Shuyin breathed a sigh of relief upon receiving permission.

She practically ran to the door, just about to instruct the smart system to open it—

"etc."

Situ Linchen's cold voice came from behind.

Along with that came the sound of his approaching footsteps.

It's over? We've been discovered?

Ning Shuyin stood frozen in place, not daring to turn around, afraid of meeting those eyes.

She felt a gaze fall on her back, making it hard for her to breathe.

"Just like that, you leave?" Situ Linchen's voice carried a chilling pressure. "Our business isn't over yet."

What's the meaning?

What else does he want to do?

Could it be that I'm going to... her?

Just as Ning Shuyin was having a chaotic internal drama, Situ Linchen tapped her shoulder with his finger, signaling her to turn around.

“Matching system,” he said in a cold tone.

"What matching system?" Ning Shuyin asked anxiously.

Her heart jumped into her throat again.

"Confirming this date is complete is standard procedure," Situ Linchen said calmly. "You haven't confirmed it yet."

"..."

So that's what he was talking about... So that's what he meant.

Ning Shuyin quickly brought up the Rose Club matching system interface and clicked the "Confirm Date Completed" option.

A green notification lit up on both computers simultaneously.

[Congratulations to Situ Linchen on your first date!]

[Congratulations Ning Shuyin on your first date!]

"Alright, Marshal."

"Hmm." Situ Linchen made a nasal sound, his eyes remaining calm and ruthless.

He reached out and put his hand over her shoulder.

It wasn't about pinning her against the wall; it was just about opening the door to the resonance chamber for her.

Ning Shuyin's heart began to pound wildly.

The heavy metal door swung open smoothly to both sides with a "whoosh".

However, the door wasn't opened by Situ Linchen; it was opened from the outside.

Ning Shuyin did not notice this.

She walked quickly forward, seemingly about to escape this terrible place, when she bumped into someone's arms.

It was an exceptionally solid chest.

Her nose was instantly enveloped by a refreshing minty scent.

"I'm sorry..."

The words of apology stuck in my throat.

Ning Shuyin looked up in alarm, completely stunned.
