Author's Closing Remarks
This series has finally come to an end, and we're bringing you the grand finale! Hooray!
Thank you to every reader who follows my work. Your support through your updates, comments, and votes gives me a goal and motivation to write.
Some readers may know that this book failed the platform's traffic test when it reached 50,000 words.
According to common practice, such a story should probably end at that point.
When I started writing the book, I promised that I would finish the story seriously.
This commitment is for you and for myself. So, I will continue.
Looking back, it took three whole months to write, totaling 460,000 words. It consumed almost all of my spare time. I updated more frequently in October because I didn't go out for a single day during the holiday; I was typing away the whole time, even more diligently than when I was preparing for the college entrance exam.
Sometimes I feel lost.
Especially when I'm writing until one or two in the morning.
I can't see the royalties; they barely cover the electricity bill, not enough for a cup of coffee every day.
But thinking about the three months Ning Shuyin spent with me, I felt it was all worthwhile. When she was happy, I would chuckle to myself; when she was troubled, I would offer her endless advice in my mind.
When I'm conceiving a story, I spend a lot of time thinking about each plot point. I just hope that everyone can enjoy it and get some relief from their busy lives.
The reason for choosing to end at chapter 200 is that the complete outline conceived when creating the story has been fully written.
The male protagonists' feelings are clear, and the four lifelong contracts will inevitably be presented.
If I continue writing, it might become a mere extension for the sake of extension, diluting its existing flavor. I don't want this story to become a tasteless, yet ultimately useless, piece of work.
As a reader myself, I've noticed that some novels change as you read them, and they don't feel the same way I want them to be.
Ending the film with a satisfying conclusion leaves room for reflection and imagination. A sense of wanting more is better than feeling utterly exhausted.
Here, I would like to thank you all again for your support and love~ I am also reluctant to leave you.
The creative journey continues, see you in the next work! (PS: Interested readers are welcome to join our reader group)
