Chapter 10: Murder

"Let's go and meet them."

Hearing this, the disciples were cheered up, but then they hesitated.

They are confident in their senior sister's strength, but the gap in numbers between the two sides is too big. Can they win this battle?

Qing Zhu reminded her cryptically, "Senior Sister, in addition to the five disciples at the ninth level of Qi Refining, there are also eight disciples at the eighth level of Qi Refining, and twelve disciples at the seventh level of Qi Refining.

We have contacted Senior Brother Zhang, but have not received a response. Should we wait a little longer?"

“No need.”

After Meng Wan finished speaking, she walked towards the door.

Go out and see the situation first. If the situation is not good, come back.

The disciples looked at each other, gritted their teeth and followed.

Meng Wan pushed open the door of the foundry, and a fierce aura came towards her.

A group of aggressive monks stood outside the door, led by a burly man with bare chests.

He looked at Meng Wan unkindly and sneered.

"Are you Meng Wan? The one who injured my junior brother?"

"It's me."

Meng Wan glanced at the people across from her. "I heard you were blocking this place, beating up the people from my foundry, and demanding compensation from them?"

"Not only them, but you too!"

The burly man crossed his arms and looked at Meng Wan with cold eyes, "Based on the number of people, each person will receive 2,000 spirit stones. You're paying three times as much!

When you pay the money, you can leave here."

Meng Wan was about to return to the foundry, but suddenly thought of something and asked.

"I don't have spirit stones. Can I exchange them for something of equivalent value?"

The big man was stunned, as if he didn't expect Meng Wan to compromise so quickly, then nodded coldly, "Okay."

The disciples behind Meng Wan were in an uproar. Before they could express their dissatisfaction, they heard a faint voice.

"Then exchange your life for it."

As soon as he finished speaking, the big man felt as if his perception was obscured by something, and he felt confused.

He realized that he had fallen into the opponent's illusion and was about to struggle when he suddenly felt a chill in his heart.

He subconsciously looked down and saw a big hole in his chest.

A slender and powerful hand pierced his chest and crushed his heart with a slight force.

Meng Wan withdrew her hand, took the storage bag from the big man's waist, and returned to its original position. The whole process took only two breaths.

It was not until the big man's body fell to the ground with a "bang" that everyone realized what had happened.

Meng Wan used only one move to kill the leading senior brother who was at the ninth level of Qi Refining!

Seeing this, the morale of the people in the foundry was immediately boosted, and they subconsciously walked towards Meng Wan, ready to provide support at any time.

The people on the opposite side all changed their expressions, took a few steps back, and stared at Meng Wan as if facing a great enemy, fearing that she would suddenly attack and kill again.

"Meng Wan, you actually killed Senior Brother Xiao!"

Meng Wan chuckled and washed the blood off her hands with a cleansing spell.

The other party openly brought people to block the door, so it shouldn’t be a big problem for her to kill a few people, right?

"Do you think his life is worth these 20,000 spirit stones?"

"You're so ruthless in killing people, aren't you afraid of angering Senior Dan Juezi?"

Taoist children from different factions fight fiercely with each other, but they tend not to harm each other's lives easily.

After all, doing so would easily attract the attention of the opposing foundation-building master.

"You were the ones who started the riot. Swords have no eyes. This Senior Brother Xiao died in the chaos. How am I to blame?"

Meng Wan smiled shyly and spoke seriously.

"You're talking nonsense!"

The man on the other side was so angry that he jumped up and down. "I will report all of this to Senior Dan Juezi truthfully. Meng Wan, just prepare to bear the senior's wrath!"

"Wait."

Seeing that the other party was about to leave, Meng Wan said coldly, "Did I let you go?"

Upon hearing this, the people opposite froze.

They really wanted to leave, but thinking of Meng Wan's skills and ruthless style of doing things, no one dared to act rashly.

"Meng Wan, what else do you want?"

A ninth-level Qi Refining disciple stared at Meng Wan with gritted teeth, "You've already killed Senior Brother Xiao, isn't that enough?"

"I have already given you the head fee you requested. But your head fee has not been given to me yet."

Meng Wan smiled slightly, "If you want to leave, you can. Two thousand spirit stones per person. Otherwise, don't leave."

"Meng Wan, I'm going to fight you!"

The ninth-level Qi Refining cultivator's eyes flashed with ferocity. He roared, slapped several defensive talismans on his body, and then urged his spirit sword to chop towards Meng Wan.

Meng Wan shook her head gently, her figure rippled like water, and then disappeared on the spot.

When she reappeared, she suddenly appeared behind the monk and slapped him silently.

After a violent tremor, most of the talisman light on his body shattered, and he staggered and fell to the ground, vomiting blood.

Meng Wan picked up the magic sword on the ground, took the storage bag from his waist, and then looked at the others.

"Are you going to hand it over obediently, or are you going to wait for me to take it from you one by one?"

Cold sweat broke out on the others' bodies. After a brief silence, one person took the lead and handed the spirit stone to Meng Wan.

Some people took the initiative to show weakness, and even if others were unwilling, they knew that the situation was hopeless.

He had no choice but to suppress his reluctance and pay the "head fee" with a frustrated look on his face.

Someone didn't have enough spirit stones on them, and said anxiously, "Senior Sister Meng, I don't have that many spirit stones..."

"If you don't have enough spirit stones, you can use other things to pay for it. If it's still not enough, write an IOU and pay interest daily."

Meng Wan spoke calmly, looking reasonable.

Upon hearing this, the expressions of the others changed slightly.

The thing was given to Meng Wan, so isn't it her who has the final say on the price?
