Chapter 322: Hunting Demons and Monsters

"Fight and devour?"

Meng Wan seemed to be thinking about something, and looked like she was listening.

The village chief nodded and explained, “Practice is nothing more than the survival of the fittest.

If you want to break through the Spirit Transformation Stage, the best way is to find a demon cultivator of equal strength and challenge him.

In the life-and-death battle, unleash your own potential, devour the opponent's demon essence, accumulate strength, and break through bottlenecks."

Meng Wan's heart moved.

Devouring the power of others to strengthen oneself, the demon race's way of cultivation, although cruel, is similar to the Blood Demon Heavenly Evil Art she practiced.

Meng Wan thanked the village chief earnestly, "Thank you for your guidance."

The village chief waved his hand and said gently, "If you rashly challenge a strong person, I'm afraid you will be in great danger. Awan, I know you want to gain power, but you must also act within your means."

Meng Wan smiled slightly, her tone firm.

"Don't worry, Village Chief. I will act with caution."

After leaving the village chief's wooden house, Meng Wan pondered for a long time and finally made up her mind.

Since she now has the identity of a demon, she will break through the God Transformation Stage in the demon way!

However, with her current strength, ordinary demon cultivators at the Divine Transformation stage may not be her match, let alone ordinary demon cultivators at the Nascent Soul stage.

It seems that if you want to improve your cultivation, you must find some opponents who are strong enough.

The monks in this village are too weak, and there is no point in staying here any longer.

However, there are many checkpoints in each demon city, and she cannot get in.

Only in places where demons and monsters gather can one gain a foothold.

Demons and monsters are similar to the demon cultivators among humans. They will stop at nothing to improve their cultivation, even devouring their own kind who are much weaker than them.

It is very consistent with Meng Wan's practice philosophy.

Meng Wan glanced at the village in front of her, then turned and left, walking towards the depths of the forest.

A few days later, Meng Wan continued to go deeper into the mountains.

The trees here are tall and twisted, with a faint black mist hanging among the branches and leaves, and the air is filled with an unsettling atmosphere.

Just as she was about to go deeper, she suddenly felt a cold breath locking onto her.

"Hehe, I didn't expect to meet a lone little demon in a place like this."

A hoarse voice came from behind.

Meng Wan turned around and saw a skinny demon with scarlet eyes staring at her with a greedy smile on his face.

"Ninth level of Nascent Soul… Although the cultivation level is a bit low, it is just right as an after-dinner snack."

The demon licked his lips, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

Meng Wan looked at him with a calm tone.

"Are you a demon?"

The demon was stunned for a moment, then grinned grimly, "What? Are you scared? Unfortunately, it's too late!"

Before he finished speaking, his figure suddenly jumped up, turned into a black shadow, and pounced towards Meng Wan.

Meng Wan chuckled, dodged the opponent's attack easily.

"Good speed, but unfortunately not fast enough. Where is the nearby demon city?"

She asked calmly.

The demon's attack missed, his expression changed slightly, and then he roared angrily and pounced on Meng Wan again.

"Why should I tell you?"

This time, his claws were wrapped in a strong demonic aura, and it was obvious that he was using all his strength.

However, Meng Wan remained calm and composed.

"It doesn't matter if you don't tell me, I already know."

She formed seals with her hands, and the demonic energy in her body suddenly burst out, transforming into countless blood-colored threads that wrapped around the demon.

"What's this?"

The demon was horrified and tried to break free from the threads, but found that the more he struggled, the tighter the threads became.

"it's over."

Meng Wan said coldly, suddenly clenching her five fingers.

“Puff!”

The blood-colored thread suddenly tightened, and the demon's body was instantly torn into pieces, turning into a ball of blood mist.

Meng Wan raised her hand and waved it, and the demonic energy in the blood mist was absorbed into her body.

She felt the surging power in her body, and a sneer appeared on the corner of her mouth.

"The method of devouring demon essence is indeed similar to the practice of demon cultivators."

She walked over to the demon's body, searched around, and found a black token.

There are several ancient demon characters engraved on the token, which seems to be a symbol of some kind of identity.

She put away the token and continued walking deeper into the forest.

Not long after, Meng Wan came to a hidden valley.

The valley was filled with thick black fog, and a few simple buildings could be vaguely seen.

This is where demons and monsters gather.

Without much hesitation, Meng Wan walked in.

Her arrival immediately attracted the attention of the demons in the valley.

Several demons stepped out from the shadows, staring at her warily.

"Who are you? Why are you trespassing on our territory?"

A demon asked coldly.

Meng Wan raised the black token in her hand and said calmly, "I'm new here and want to join you."

The demon took a look at the token and his expression eased slightly, but he was still wary. "Where did the token come from?"

Meng Wan sneered, "I snatched it from a blind guy. What? You don't welcome newcomers?"

When the demon heard this, greed flashed in his eyes.

"Welcome, of course you're welcome. However, if you want to join us, you must first prove your strength."

Meng Wan raised her eyebrows, "How do you prove it?"

The demon grinned and said, "It's simple. Defeat me and you will be qualified to stay."

Meng Wan sneered, "That's exactly what I want."

Before she finished her words, her figure suddenly jumped up, turned into a black shadow, and pounced towards the demon.

"boom--!"
