Shen Zixuan thought for a moment, poured spiritual power into the flying sword, and gently waved it towards the entrance of the cave.
"Buzz!"
The flying sword hummed softly, and a sharp sword energy shot out, instantly piercing through the cave, revealing a passage wide enough for one person to pass through.
Shen Zixuan put away his flying sword and walked into the cave first.
Meng Wan and Shen Zihan followed closely behind. Old Man Qian hesitated for a moment, then followed in reluctantly.
The light in the cave was dim, and the air was filled with the smell of damp earth.
The cave is not very big. It is more like a cave than a cave.
Inside the cave, there lay a figure whose life or death was unknown. It was Hong Bo.
"Friend Hong!"
Shen Zixuan stepped forward quickly, but saw that Hong Bo's eyes were closed, his face was black, and his breath was weak. It was obvious that he had been seriously poisoned by the miasma.
"Brother Zixuan, what happened to him?" Meng Wan asked worriedly.
"He's been infected by miasma and is in critical condition!"
After hesitating for a moment, Shen Zixuan took out a jade bottle from his storage bag, poured out a pill to break the miasma, and gave it to Hong Bo to take.
The pill melted in his mouth, transforming into a stream of pure spiritual energy that flowed through Hong Bo's body, dispelling the erosion of the miasma.
After a while, Hong Bo's face finally regained some color and he slowly opened his eyes.
“Ahem…”
He coughed violently a few times and said weakly: “Brother Shen, you saved me…”
"Friend Hong, how do you feel?"
Hong Bo struggled to sit up, but Shen Zixuan raised his hand to stop him. "Fellow Daoist Hong, there's no need to be so polite. Just breathe and recover first."
Hong Bo nodded, sat cross-legged, practiced his skills, and began to heal his wounds.
It was not until half an hour later that Hong Bo slowly opened his eyes and his complexion returned to normal.
"Thank you, Brother Shen, for saving my life." Hong Bo said gratefully.
"You're welcome. For one of my Shen family's secret recipes for breaking miasma, I'll give you two thousand spirit stones. If you don't have enough spirit stones, I can make up for it with something of equivalent value."
Shen Zixuan waved his hand and said generously.
Hong Bo's face froze, but he still obediently took out the spirit stone and gave it to him.
Old Man Qian asked impatiently, "What happened to Brother Hong after he came down?"
When Hong Bo heard this, his face suddenly turned ugly. He took a deep breath and spoke slowly.
"As soon as I came down, I was attacked by a miasma beast and was poisoned...
I used all my strength to escape from that miasma beast, and fled all the way here to open up this simple cave. Before I could send you a message, I passed out."
As Hong Bo spoke, a trace of fear appeared on his face, "If you hadn't rescued me, I'm afraid I would..."
"I see."
Shen Zixuan nodded. "We've already explored and there's nothing here that we're looking for. Now that the miasma poison in you has been cured, there's no need for you to stay here any longer."
Hong Bo nodded, supported his injured body, and followed the others.
When I walked out of the cave, it was already dark outside.
They followed the same path they had come from, carefully climbing up the cliff. After a few narrow escapes, they finally managed to leave the cliff safely.
Looking at the abyss before him and behind him, Old Man Qian couldn't help but shudder, "Fortunately, we are lucky enough to escape."
Shen Zixuan ignored his sigh. After a short rest, he continued to lead everyone to the second place where the ancient cultivator's cave might exist.
In a blink of an eye, another three days passed and the five people arrived near a canyon.
"Old Qian, Fellow Daoist Hong's injuries haven't healed yet, so it's your turn to explore the way this time."
When Old Man Qian heard this, he immediately looked embarrassed, "My legs and feet are not good..."
Just as he started, he caught sight of Shen Zixuan's unhappy look and wisely changed his words, "Then, I'll be back soon."
Old man Qian walked into the canyon tremblingly, looking back every few steps.
Everyone waited patiently near the canyon.
Half an hour later, Old Man Qian still hadn't returned.
Meng Wan nervously grasped the corner of Shen Zixuan's clothes, "Brother Zixuan, why hasn't Uncle Qian come back yet? Could he be in danger?"
Shen Zixuan looked at her gently, "Dangers are everywhere in the Tianheng Mountains. The sword in my hand can only protect you."
Meng Wan said coquettishly, it’s already this time and you’re still saying these sweet words.
"Run! Run!..."
A quick shout broke the charming atmosphere. Meng Wan turned her head to look at the entrance of the canyon and frowned uneasily.
Old man Qian, who had disappeared at the fork in the road, suddenly ran back in a panic.
Shen Zixuan's face darkened, and he asked sternly, "What happened?"
Old man Qian was panting, pointing at the fork in the road behind him, and talking incoherently.
"Flying ants! So many flying ants! As soon as I reached the end, I saw a black mass. I was almost surrounded!"
"Flying ants?" Hong Bo frowned, "But what about the six-winged flying ants?"
Old man Qian nodded repeatedly, still in shock.
"It's those six-winged flying ants! They're small, but they swarm in large numbers and are extremely poisonous. Being surrounded by them is fatal!"
When everyone heard this, their faces turned a little ugly.
They had also heard of the name of the six-winged flying ants. Although the cultivation level of this monster was not high, it appeared in groups and was poisonous. Even cultivators in the Foundation Establishment Stage did not dare to provoke it easily.
"Brother Zixuan, what should we do?" Meng Wan was a little flustered.
"Run! Sister Wan'er, I'm sorry!"
After Shen Zixuan finished speaking, he pulled Meng Wan over, carried her on his back, and ran outside.
Meng Wan exclaimed and leaned on his back helplessly.
