"What have the supervisor and director been busy with today? They seem to disappear without a trace, we just saw them once and they're nowhere to be found again?"
In the Sunset Composition Department, many lyricists and composers feel insecure.
Already squeezed by the Sihai Group, the department was further weakened by the arrival of the director, who fired Zhang Wenlan and Zuo Jingqiu, leaving the composition department struggling to recover.
Many songwriters who originally only wrote songs for those two singers are now truly gripped by a sense of crisis.
"Sihai has already started building momentum. They'll be launching two albums tonight at 8 PM. Doesn't the director have any countermeasures?" a lyricist said.
"We should refrain from interfering in management matters and focus on doing our own jobs well." The female lyricist and composer who spoke was named Liu Yiling.
"That's what you say, but don't you feel any sense of crisis? The new guy Li Zhaoyang's new song is being promoted so heavily tonight. If it gets crushed by Sihai right after its release, wouldn't that be a joke?"
Liu Yiling: "Zhang Xiaohu, if you keep spouting these alarmist things, I'll be the first to slap you, believe it or not?"
As the only ace in the composition department, Liu Yiling's words are the truth.
Upon hearing this, the renowned songwriter Zhang Xiaohu immediately backed down: "Sister Ling, I was just venting, don't take it to heart."
Liu Yiling: "The director comes from the head office. She has a longer-term vision than us. She must have her reasons for promoting Li Zhaoyang's new song. Don't judge the director with your short-sightedness."
"This is serious, Sister Ling, let's not talk about this anymore." Zhang Xiaohu was just venting and wanted to complain to his colleagues. If the director found out, he would be in big trouble.
After the topic was dropped, a few lyricists and composers came to Liu Yiling to inquire about something.
"Sister Ling, do you know something inside?"
"Yes, Sister Ling, after the director took office, I thought there would be some big moves, but he held back for two days, just to promote Li Zhaoyang's new song."
Faced with these questions from the songwriters, Liu Yiling couldn't give a clear answer either, and pointed to an office: "Li Zhaoyang is right there, you can go ask him yourselves."
"Never mind... he's someone close to the director." They quickly waved their hands.
"If you won't ask, I will." Liu Yiling had a limit in mind; she wouldn't pry too deeply, but asking within a limited scope shouldn't be a problem.
"Zhaoyang, are you busy?"
After knocking on the office door, Liu Yiling looked at Li Zhaoyang sitting in front of the computer.
"No rush, Senior Liu, please have a seat." Li Zhaoyang had been here for two days, knew the other party's name, and knew even more that the other party was the branch company's only ace.
"Don't call me senior, it makes me sound old. Just call me Sister Ling."
"Yes, Sister Ling."
"Then let me ask you, does the director have any plans to deal with the Sihai Group?" Liu Yiling explained, "Sihai is also releasing those two albums tonight, and they've already started building hype, you should know that, right?"
Li Zhaoyang noticed Ling Jie's question, then looked at his colleagues who were eavesdropping by the window, shook his head and smiled bitterly: "Ling Jie, I definitely won't tell you the truth, but I'll give you a heads-up: after 8 pm tonight, Wanxia's current predicament will be at least 90% resolved."
"Oh?" Liu Yiling became interested: "What about the remaining 10%?"
"The remaining 10% of difficulties and troubles..." Li Zhaoyang smiled without saying anything more.
The remaining 10% will simply face retaliation from all corners of the world.
Liu Yiling was very smart and knew how to assess the situation. She knew that if she continued to ask, it would involve confidential information, so she simply ended the topic early: "Zhaoyang, we haven't had a proper get-together since you just arrived at the company. Tonight, I'll treat you to a welcome dinner with all the colleagues in the department."
“Okay.” Li Zhaoyang showed no signs of keeping people at arm’s length.
"Okay, then you go ahead and get back to work." Liu Yiling got up and left the office.
"Sister Ling, what exactly will happen after eight o'clock tonight? Zhaoyang just said that after eight o'clock, at least 90% of our Wanxia's predicament can be resolved... That's too much." Zhang Xiaohu pressed, looking anxious.
"I don't know either. Let's look forward to 8 pm tonight." Liu Yiling believes the problem isn't with the new song released at 8 pm, but rather with the director.
After all, those kinds of leaders are so meticulous in their work that you can't guess what they're thinking until their plans are fully revealed.
All you have to do is wait.
"Damn it, I'm so anxious!" Zhang Xiaohu had no choice but to suppress his restless heart.
By noon today, the plans between Sunset and Starlight had been finalized, and now everything is ready except for the final push.
Eight o'clock in the evening will be the time when they launch their first counterattack under the evening glow.
It will surprise the world.
...
night.
Eight o'clock.
A stunning blonde American woman, wearing a light blue nightgown that accentuated her curvaceous, fair body, lay on the sofa, clearly having just taken a shower.
She has a habit before bed: she scrolls through short videos and watches a TV series for a while, otherwise she can't fall asleep.
After opening a short video app in the United States, you are greeted by beautiful women, and as you scroll down, you see handsome men.
These short videos all have one thing in common.
Handsome guys are all muscular.
The beautiful women either flaunt their breasts or show off their long, white legs, pushing the boundaries in various ways.
This shows that foreign countries are indeed very lenient in their review process, which is a real boon for men.
Unfortunately, this blonde beauty doesn't like these videos featuring pretty girls; she only loves handsome men.
After watching for half an hour, the blonde beauty got tired and decided to watch the show until around 10 pm before going to bed, as this would help her sleep.
Just as I was about to exit the short video app, I came across a really interesting video.
The video features exciting clips from the game "All-Star League of Legends".
A captain wielding a steel shield battles a monster.
She had seen this movie; it was a recent release from Starlight Cinemas. It was a very good sci-fi war film with a touch of action.
Moreover, the edited clip is one of her favorites; she's a fan of Captain Steel Shield, and the way it's been edited gives it a unique and ingenious feel.
Especially with the accompanying voice-over music (whose background music I don't know), the exciting and thrilling essence of this part of the storyline was instantly ignited.
Human senses are sometimes so strange. When you just watch the plot, you might think it's okay and even feel a little excited.
But for some reason, after watching this short video, with the background music playing, the blonde beauty actually experienced a different kind of mood.
The plot was clearly familiar to her, but the music elevated it?
That sense of patriotism was ignited, and the battle reached its climax after the Steel Shield Captain's death, accompanied by the frenzied background music.
The video ends here.
It's a short video after all.
The blonde beauty exclaimed, still wanting more: "Oh my god, the person who edited this video is a genius!"
She wanted to click on the original audio to see who edited it.
But it turns out there's only one video with the original audio.
It must have been released not long ago and hasn't become popular yet; they probably bought traffic.
