The beast was still puzzled. "Then why not just let them stay by their master's side forever?"
Nanzhi shook her head, unwilling to explain anything.
The child is too young to understand the dangers of the world; I understand.
The man and the beast continued forward.
"Master, I can't see up anymore," the treasure beast complained.
The dense vegetation and the low-growing nature of the mythical beasts made them easily obstructed from view.
Nanzhi looked down and felt that the vegetation under her feet was somewhat familiar.

An alarm bell rang in Nanzhi's heart.
"Master, what's wrong?" the treasure beast asked, puzzled.

Several brightly colored venomous snakes silently crawled past the spot where they had just been.

Nan Zhi: "A little bit of poison can kill a cow, you go ahead and take it!"
She threw the treasure beast to the ground and continued running.
The beast probably didn't expect to be abandoned by its master, so it quickly swung its four paws and ran forward.
